In the North Sea, the foundation of the Mermaid Empire is the gods of the sea, and on the Metallic Dragon Island is Alexrilla's old enemy—the legendary fifth-level ancient golden dragon 'Ignis'.
North Sea.
The huge red-gold dragon was covered in blood, and its scales were broken.
The Dark Frost Giant Lord had a fierce look in his eyes. He held a simple spear in one hand and a simple giant shield in the other. When he attacked, he was fierce and fast. He could beat the red-gold dragon into chaos, and every time the red-gold dragon fought back angrily, the ancient giant shield shimmered with a black and blue luster, perfectly resisting the destructive attack of the red-gold dragon.
"Hmph, fearless struggle." Dark Frost Giant Lord Thorne sneered several times, and his mood gradually became happy.
From the beginning, the two sides were tied, then the Crimson Mother Alexrilla gradually fell into a disadvantage, and now she is almost completely suppressed by Thorne.
Among them, Mora's poison played a vital role.
"It's a pity that we didn't get a higher level of Mora's venom. Otherwise, why bother?" the Dark Frost Giant thought secretly in his heart.
Alexrilla's lava-like dragon eyes were extremely cold. No matter how much the Dark Frost Giant Lord taunted her, she remained unusually calm from beginning to end, completely inconsistent with the red dragon's furious and arrogant nature.
Feeling the power gradually passing away from Mora's poison in her body, Alexrilla made a decision in her heart.
"Old guy, if you won't come to me, then I will come to you!" Alexrilla said bitterly in her heart.
A mighty dragon and a towering giant clashed with earth-shattering fury, their battle raging as they tore through the skies, pushing ever northward. Each blow they exchanged unleashed shockwaves so cataclysmic that the very fabric of space shuddered and cracked—rending the skies and flattening the distant sea beneath their wrath like glass beneath a hammer.
The Mermaid Empire, which had been wary of the two of them, breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the direction they were going.
So much the better.
Otherwise, it would be troublesome for the gods to come down.
The North Sea is almost the most remote sea area.
There is a huge 'island' standing on the sea that is no different from the mainland in the eyes of ordinary life.
On the island, one can sometimes see groups of metallic dragons flying in the sky.
On the ground, there are also large groups of sub-dragons running, hunting some monsters.
In some open areas, there are also cities built by dragon-born creatures.
These cities have different styles and vary greatly in size.
But almost every city center will have a huge statue—the Dragon Statue.
This is the island occupied by the Metallic Dragon clan.
These cities are territories developed by true dragons.
It's not that there are no dragon borns on Dragon Island, but compared to Lord Dragons, the number of dragon borns is too small.
After all, almost no dragon can refuse a group of free laborers who can help it hunt for food, prepare delicious meals, and build beautiful palaces.
The cost of controlling this free labor is nothing more than some shed dragon scales or ordinary dragon blood. If you are lazy enough, you don't even need these. As long as you lie quietly in the palace, the radiation magnetic field that naturally emits over time will be enough to transform it. A group of dragon descendants appeared, living around the dragon.
The perspective gradually goes from the edge of Dragon Island to the center of Dragon Island.
It can be clearly observed that the closer you get to the Dragon Territory (city) at the center of Dragon Island, the larger and more magnificent it becomes.
And the aura of the dragon-born family members who came out of the dragon territory became more and more powerful.
In contrast, the strength of the dragon lord behind the territory naturally increased.
Of course, this is the general trend. For some related dragons (whose parents are both powerful dragons), their dragon territory will naturally be closer to the center of Dragon Island.
As the sight zoomed in further, one can see the center of Dragon Island, where giant peaks rose up from the ground.
There are a total of eighteen giant peaks.
Outside every giant peak, there is a magnificent city.
And in the middle area surrounded by the eighteen giant peaks, a magnificent floating island is suspended tens of thousands of meters in the sky.
This is the homeland of the Tal Metallic Dragon Clan.
It is also the place where the powerful members of the Metallic Dragon clan gather.
On the floating island.
A dozen great-looking human male and females, along with several large metal dragons, gathered together to discuss.
"As expected, Alexrilla came here with the Dark Frost Giant Lord. Let me tell you, this female red dragon is quite evil-minded," a silver-haired girl muttered, biting her little tiger teeth, an indignant expression on her face.
"Alexrilla..." The other legendary metallic dragons who had taken human form, as well as those who preferred to stay in their massive dragon bodies, all frowned slightly.
"Sure enough, we still have to wake up Lord Ignis," a legendary brass dragon sighed.
The other legendary dragons nodded in agreement.
Just as these powerful metallic dragons were preparing to go together to wake up the sleeping Ignis—
The floating dragon island trembled slightly, and a dazzling golden light rushed out from the circular pit in the center. The golden light revealed an ancient golden dragon similar in size to the Black Dragon Lord.
The scales of the ancient gold dragon were extremely dazzling. Under the illumination of light, they appeared like small suns, turning the ancient golden dragon into a massive refracted light source.
"Lord Ignis has come out," the legendary dragons present said happily, their faces filled with awe at the terrifying aura emanating from the ancient gold dragon's body.
"With such a terrifying momentum, could it be that Master Ignis has made a breakthrough?" a legendary silver dragon couldn't help but ask.
As soon as these words came out, the other metallic dragon experts were shocked and filled with anticipation.
Under the gaze of more than a dozen legendary metallic dragons, the giant gold dragon descended.
"Your Majesty." Everyone present, whether a third-level legendary dragon or a first-level legendary dragon, showed the utmost respect to the ancient gold dragon.
The giant gold dragon glanced around before his eyes fell on a legendary bronze dragon. He said with some surprise,
"I remember your name is Aiden? I didn't expect it would be you who broke through to legend first after a hundred years. Not bad." A look of relief flashed in the ancient golden dragon's eyes.
The bronze dragon Aiden, who was also the partner of the Dragon Knight of the Ryan Empire, looked somewhat flattered and said after receiving the praise of the ancient golden dragon,
"Your Majesty, I just had better luck."
"Luck is also a part of strength. There's no need to be modest, Aiden," Ignis said gently.
"Yes." Aiden originally wanted to be modest, but thinking of Ignis's character, he said no more.
And he wasn't in a good mood lately.
"Black Dragon Lord." The bronze dragon Aiden secretly hated him.
"Father, we have something to report to you." A handsome young man with dazzling blond hair stepped forward, ready to speak.
Ignis glanced at him, as if already aware of what he was going to say, stopped him, and said gently,
"Needless to say, I know everything about Alexrilla and the Dark Frost Giant."
The blond young man was startled, but soon relaxed.
The floating island beneath them is an advanced version of the Mage Tower.
The Mage Tower has the ability to monitor the activities and information of living beings within a certain range. The Mage Tower Spirit will summarize this information, select the important ones, and pass them to the owner of the tower.
As an advanced version of the Mage Tower, the functions of the floating island are even more terrifying and complete.
For example, its monitoring range is much larger than the Mage Tower's, and it isn't on the same level at all.
Some powerful floating islands can even monitor all living beings and collect information in an entire massive world. They're almost like low-end versions of gods.
The floating island of Metallic Dragon Island has been passed down for generations. It was originally the legacy of a selfless senior Metallic Dragon who left it behind for the dragons of the Tal Plane when he departed, to ensure the prosperity of the Metallic Dragon Clan.
As time passed, powerful metallic dragons would contribute items they no longer used, making the floating island more complete and powerful.
Seeing the relieved expression on his child's face, the Ancient Gold Dragon Ignis knew this guy had misunderstood.
The floating island of their metallic dragons is not that powerful. It is just a small floating island. The maximum range of monitoring only extends beyond the entire Dragon Island. How could it possibly monitor Alexrilla and the others who have just entered the North Sea?
The reason he knew this was because the Archmage of the Ryan Empire had sent him a message, making Ignis fully aware of the current situation.
"Alexrilla, this woman is really noisy," Ignis said lightly, with a sigh and a touch of emotion in his tone.
When speaking about this mutant ancient red dragon that had severely injured him thousands of years ago, Ignis had no anger or hatred. His tone was calm, even tinged with emotion.
Although the battle had been fierce, neither side held murderous intent. The reason Ignis was seriously injured was due to the betrayal of the unparalleled swordsman of the Ryan Empire, which led to the accident.
However, blessings and misfortunes often come together. After thousands of years of accumulation, Ignis had finally taken the final step.
"Now that I've understood the elemental law of gold, I will soon be able to break through and advance to become a high-level legend," Ignis said suddenly.
The metallic dragons present had long harbored doubts and expectations, but when Ignis personally confirmed it, they still felt as if they were dreaming, stunned and shocked.
This is a high-level legend!
Another name for a high-level legend—reserve of the gods.
From this title alone, one can understand how terrifying a high-level legend is and how difficult it is to achieve.
Once one reachs this level, it not only transforms your life form again, but also signifies that one has become a truly powerful being in the star worlds.
Various abilities such as traveling through the void physically (ignoring void storms that can kill even legendary powerhouses), destroying small material planes (assuming you're not worried about being targeted by the will of the astral realm), etc., are only the basic standard abilities of high-level legendary powerhouses.
The stunned and excited legendary metal dragons immediately reacted and congratulated,
"Congratulations to Lord Ignis on your breakthrough."
After the dragons briefly congratulated one another, Ignis waved his claw to silence them and said,
"You stay on Dragon Island. I'll go take a look."
As he spoke, a teleportation circle appeared beneath him, and the massive ancient gold dragon vanished from the floating island.
As the master of this generation's floating island, Ignis naturally controlled all its functions. Whether teleporting or fighting enemies, it was all a matter of a single thought.
"As for the transmission distance?
As long as there are coordinates, most places in the star worlds can be reached.
Above the vast North Sea—
The red dragon, covered in red-gold flames, was once again stabbed in the body by a thick ancient spear. The deep evil and frost power carried by the ancient spear completely destroyed the flesh and blood near the red dragon's wound. The power attached to the wound prevented the red dragon from recovering.
After suffering another serious injury, Alexrilla finally began to grow anxious.
"Damn Frost Giant!" Alexrilla was extremely angry in her mind.
If it weren't for the interference of a special piece of space-blocking equipment on this guy, she would have teleported or arrived at the Metallic Dragon Island long ago. Why would she need to travel so hard?
The Dark Frost Giant Lord chasing behind seemed to sense the Crimson Mother's anxiety and sneered,
"Seeing that you are so eager, I'm afraid you still have a trump card to deal with me, right? Is it reinforcements? Or is it a dangerous territory? But unfortunately, I'm afraid you won't have time to use this trump card."
Another spear pierced into Alexrilla's dragon body. The Crimson Mother, whose speed and agility had been significantly weakened, was finding it increasingly difficult to dodge the Dark Frost Giant Lord's attacks.
This also made Alexrilla feel more anxious, and she started thinking about other methods.
"What if I release my strength, forcefully break the space, and escape into the void?" Alexrilla considered the possibility in her mind.
But she quickly rejected this method.
Without her, in the Tal material plane, her level of strength and that of the Dark Frost Giant Lord were both sealed at the peak of the legendary fifth level. Even though she was injured and weak now, the gap between the two sides still existed to a certain extent.
If she broke the space and escaped into the void, although her strength would be released and restored, she would be severely injured and would have no way to escape from the Dark Frost Giant Lord in his prime state!
Unless she encountered a very lucky void crack and was teleported to another place in the star realms.
Void cracks are a common phenomenon in the void of the star realms. They are born randomly, teleport to any location in the star realms, and often disappear in an instant.
"If it doesn't work out, then I'll take a gamble on this possibility," Alexrilla decided in her mind.
Having lived for thousands of years, Alexrilla's strong character was not easily defeated. Even in a mortal crisis, she had to force her way out!
Behind her, the Dark Frost Giant Lord who was chasing her kept harassing and attacking the red dragon with words, trying to break her mental defenses and provoke her into doing something irrational, such as giving up her escape and fighting to the death.
"Alexrilla, you absolutely can't escape this time. You should accept the fate of death honestly!" the Dark Frost Giant Lord said with a ferocious smile.
Suddenly, the fleeing red dragon in front turned around and attacked the Dark Frost Giant Lord.
The Dark Frost Giant Lord was slightly startled when he saw this. Then, he was overjoyed and laughed loudly,
"Yes, that's how it should be. You are the Crimson Mother, the Crimson Disaster. Instead of dying while running, you might as well die gloriously in my hands. This won't bury your reputation!"
"There's so much nonsense. It's you who should die!!" The resentment and anger accumulated by Alexrilla after being hunted for several days burst out at that moment.
A large amount of golden flames erupted wildly from the red dragon's scales, and the wounds all over her body began to recover at a terrifying speed. The terrifying golden flame red dragon opened its mouth, roared, and blasted a spiral golden flame dragon breath toward the Dark Frost Giant Lord.
At that very moment, the once-radiant sky dimmed as if the curtain of night had abruptly fallen across the heavens. The stars vanished behind a tide of crackling red-gold light. Nine blazing meteorites, veiled in molten fury, emerged above the clouds—first appearing no larger than embers, then swelling into titanic spheres of molten destruction in the blink of an eye. Each was wreathed in golden flame and volcanic might, bearing down upon the battlefield like divine judgment.
It was the Eleventh-Tier Forbidden Curse—Meteorite Disaster.
Beyond the threshold of mortal spellcraft, only those who had ascended to the realm of Legend could touch such forbidden powers. The tenth-tier belonged to low-tier legends. The eleventh-tier—this tier—was the domain of mid-tier legends, while the twelfth was the arsenal of high-tier godslayers.
Though the Crimson Mother had only cast an eleventh-tier spell, it was no ordinary invocation. This was a forbidden art tempered to perfection, molded by her will and merged with her own crimson-gold flame—creating a mutated forbidden spell, unique to her bloodline. Each meteorite within this spell roared with the power of extinction, burning with the wrath of a dying sun. And she had cast it herself, unassisted, from the very depths of her wounded, wrathful soul.
Space warped and cracked as the meteorites descended. The sky itself screamed under their weight. Reality bent. Oceans stilled.
The Dark Frost Giant Lord, still holding aloft his ancient obsidian shield, grunted as he braced against the lingering echo of the Crimson Mother's golden dragon breath. But as his gaze rose to the heavens and witnessed the nine calamitous meteors tearing through the veil of the world, his expression finally changed. The air around him turned heavy, and the stillness of his stance shattered. His features darkened, carved with solemnity and reverence—as if standing before the gods themselves.
"As expected from the Crimson Disaster," he muttered, voice rumbling like a glacier splitting. "Even wounded and bleeding, you dare shake the heavens. But… you've made a fatal mistake."
