Turning Tables

"How dare you slap my mother?!" Annabelle shouted, her eyes narrowing at the elegantly dressed woman. She just wanted to fuel her mom's burning rage, and it worked. Sophia gritted her teeth and glared at the woman in front of her.

"And how dare you enter my house without permission and have the audacity to hit my daughter-in-law?" Rosalind Reign roared like a tigress, her intimidating voice making Annabelle squeak back like a scolded puppy.

Evelyn felt warmth spread through her body at Rosalind's words, their eyes meeting briefly before Rosalind turned her gaze to Sophia. Avery almost squealed internally at her aunt's arrival, knowing Rosalind was the perfect person to teach these nasty women a lesson.

"The truth is always bitter, Mrs. Wright. You better start accepting it like William accepted you." Rosalind's words pierced through Sophia's already burning ego. Pointing towards the door, she continued, "Now get out before I ask security to drag you out."
