The Prisoner's Silence

The tension in the meeting room was palpable as the leaders of the werewolf clans exchanged heated words. Amidst the rising clamor, Theresa Hargrove, leader of the Hargrove Clan, rose from her seat, commanding attention with a sharp gesture. Her eyes, usually calculating and cold, now bore a fierce intensity.

"We need to get answers," Theresa declared, her voice cutting through the din. "If this Alaric poses a threat, then we must ascertain what he is. And if the rumors are true, we need to act before it's too late."

The other leaders glanced at one another, weighing the implications of her statement. The room quieted as Theresa signaled for the door. A moment later, the door creaked open, and two large werewolves entered, flanking a figure between them. The prisoner, bound in chains, shuffled forward with a defiant glare. His eyes were cold and unyielding, his demeanor hardened by a life of struggle.
