Darren woke up with a blue-tinted light shining in his eyes. He had no clue where it could have been coming from considering it was quite early in the morning. Darren knew this without opening his eyes as he had an excellent internal clock.

Opening his eyes, Darren was shocked to his wits when instead of the normal view of the barn like he would get every morning from opening his eyes. Instead, there was a blue box of around a square meter in area floating about two meters away.

Initially getting frightened, Darren tried to swat the screen away and blink really fast and hard to see if this was some illusion caused by a disease in the chicken. After some failed attempts and a declining heart rate, Darren looked a bit closer at the blue screen. There appeared to be a bunch of text in the form of a list and a lot of numbers.

[Darren Jones]

[Cultivation: 0]

[Class: Farmer]

[Daos: Life, Water]

[Bloodline: None]

Reading over the brief list of information, Darren started to get an idea of what was going on. This was his status and some stuff made sense like the fact that his class was Farmer; this is what he does every day of his life.

Cultivation sounded like something to do with his class since he had heard his father use the term when gardening; though he couldn't understand why there was a zero in front of it.

Daos were something totally unfamiliar to Darren and he could only guess their functions based on his own. It seemed like they were like affinities in the way they were both elements of the earth Darren dealt with on a daily basis.

Finally, Bloodline was something Darren wasn't too concerned with as he didn't have one anyways.

Darren wondered where Dan and Sherryl were and how they were reacting to this whole thing. Last he heard, they were staying at a friend's place in town. Darren shrugged and put it out of his mind.

Just as Darren was finished reading through his status screen a new screen appeared in front of the old one.

[ Spiritual Energy Activation Timer: 1 minute]

'Must be the energy required to feed all this stuff in my status screen.' Not knowing what to expect, Darren sat down in a lotus position and stared in anticipation at the changing numbers.

[52 seconds]

[51 seconds]

[50 seconds]

[27 seconds]

[26 seconds]

[5]... [4]...[3]...[2]...[1]

The ground shook all around the world to the equivalent of a mid-sized earthquake. Then Darren suddenly felt a cool rush cold water all over. It was gone just as quickly as it came but now there was a new sensation. Darren now felt like he was older, stronger, and fuller with energy.

'What is going on?' Darren thought as his body was continually enveloped by a strange energy. Darren tried to focus on the feeling of cold water he felt before. Closing his eyes, he reimagined the feeling. Then, in his blackened vision, bundles of blue and white-yellow lights started appearing all around.

Not only that, but Darren could sense that what he was looking at was truly tangible and real. He knew that because he somehow recognized the surroundings as inside his body; his stomach specifically.

'How was this possible?' He was peering inside his own body with his eyes closed. Thoroughly convinced he was in a constant state of desensitization shock, Darren tried to keep his composure and think with logic; or at least make sense of the nonsense.

While trying to feel and touch all the little dots, Darren only barely noticed that there was another change to his blue screen. Opening his eyes, Darren looked at the new text.

[Evaluating Territory...]

[Territory Selected]

[Congratulations Darren Jones! You have been selected to be a territory holder based on your Farmer Class!]

[You now have ownership of this farm as well as a kilometer in every direction from it.]

[System Territory Setup Initialized]

Darren sucked in a breath as his mind suddenly expanded and formed into a map of a farm with forest to the back and Ocean to the front. Not only that but he could sense that the map was actively changing.

Soil was being mixed and ready for new crops to be planted, the manor that the family used to live in was completely destroyed and in its place sprang a small cottage.

However, it was an understatement to say that the cottage was shabby, everything about it screamed it was about to collapse at any second but sensing all the glowing dots that were attached to the wood and other materials, Darren was confident that it would last.

Looking back at the screen, Darren was surprised to find it was not done.

[Territory: Provide Name]

[Contracted: Darren Jones]

[Level: 1]

[Soul: Infancy Stage]

[Affinities: Earth, Water, Life]

[Please provide your Territory with a name.]

Darren thought about it for a bit and decided on a word he had heard while he was very young and ever since it has been his favorite word.

"Wuguay Farm" Darren said with conviction.

[Territory Name: Wuguay Farm]

[ Welcome to Wuguay Farm, please choose two of the following to plant as main crops.]

[Rivergrain Wheat]

[Vitalroot Tubers]

[Hydraberry Bushes]

[Aqualife Clover]

[Mistleaf Lettuce]

[Lifevine Melons]

[Springsage Grass]

[Aquasprout Beans]

[Wetland Corn]

[Riverflow Barley]

Looking over the list, Darren quickly found the two that he thought would be best in growing his farm. His thinking was that if he picked two crops that could be used to grow some strong spirit beasts, he could sell them or even use them to hunt, thus he chose [Rivergrain Wheat] as well as [Springsage Grass].

As soon as he chose his crops, Darren was suprised to find he didn't even have to plant them, they were already planted to the max. Half of the field was filled with little stubbles of shimmering bright green grass while the other half was filled with taller, thinner grass that was bright blue instead of green.

Standing just beyond the door to the barn looking out at the plane of blue to his left and green to his right, Darren smiled to himself 'Whatever is happening here, I like it!'

[Please Choose three starting spirit egg sets and the locations for their habitats]

Darren was not suprised since he thought they would go to animals after they gave him crops. Every good farmer needs both. Looking at the options, Darren was ecstatic.

[Spirit Turtle]

[Spirit Cow]

[Spirit Pig]

[Spirit Sheep]

[Spirit Dog]

[Spirit Cat]

[Spirit Chicken]

[Spirit Frog]

Darren first thought about what crops would be useful in rearing which animals, then chose his favorites.

"I choose [Spirit Turtle], [Spirit Dog], and [Spirit Chicken] and I'll have them all be around where this old barn is. "Darren said while thinking about his future.

Darren turned his attention back to the mental map of his base and watched as the barn he used to call home for 12 years was demolished and burried like it had never been there. In it's place was a blank grid about 100 meters by 200 meters. It was segmented by 3 even sections and fenced in. Then each segment started their own unique transformation.

The segment on the far right was obviously meant for the turtles as in the corner a decent sized pond was formed and the ground around it started to form shrubbery and other plants. A few rocks were added as well as a log fixed to the middle of the pond for the turtles to sunbathe. Overall, a nice little turtle habitat.

The segment on the far left was undoubtedly the chicken coop. A building was attached to the back of the area and had a ramp leading up to a small hole for chickens to enter or exit. In front of the building there was a large open space of loose dirt for the chickens to search for worms. Not only that but the area was fenced in by a barely visible thin wire. There was also a ramp that led up to a second layer of fencing just below the roof. 'Two story chicken habitat. Cool.' Darren thought then turned his attention to the middle habitat.

The middle habitat, by process of elimination would be the dog habitat. The first thing Darren noticed was a doghouse-like structure rising from the ground and filling every bit of space covering the third of area provided. Not only was it a doghouse but it was massive.

It looked like a normal doghouse if it was expanded to the size of the Jone's original manor. Even Darren was a little jealous, his cottage was no where near the size of this structure. 'At least with the other habitats, the surroundings looked natural but this is just crazy.' Darren thought as he stepped inside the house.
