Chapter Eleven

After the food was done,Austin dished it out.He carries  both their plate over to where Lilian sat.He handed over Lilian's portion of food over to her and held his while he takes a seat beside Lilian.

"Thank you"Lilian mutters as her stomach rumbles with the sweet smell evolving from the food.She closed her eyes,embarrassed of the nature's effect on her.Austin chuckles when he sees Lilian's face,he found her cute.

"I'm honored to make a meal for you princess"Austin joked feigning a deep voice.

"No,no,I'm honored for a Prince Charming to have made my meal"Lilian said and they both laughed.

"Less talking,more eating"Austin cautioned and Lilian nods.They begin to devour their food silently.Lilian felt odd to have someone over when she had always eaten alone for the past few months her father died.What is even stranger to her was the fact that Austin had been the first person to eat with her in the cottage besides her father.

After they were done eating,Lilian suggested to go do the dishes and Austin offered to help out which Lilian had first declined but had no choice but to agree when Austin was insistent.They stood like couples who were in love as Lilian washes the dishes and Austin rinsed it with a dishwashing gloves.He sets the plates on the dish rack accordingly.

"Thank you for dinner"Lilian said after they were done.

She looks expectant of Austin to say he was going to leave but Austin went over to take a seat back on the sofa.

"You…you aren't leaving"Lilian said hesitantly.She doesn't really want him to leave,in fact she would be happy for him to stay the night which she knows might never be possible again.

"You are very eager to bug me off huh"Austin said while he looks at Lilian from where she had leaned on the counter.He was measuring her up,he stares intently at her rosy lips as he wishes he could go over to her and take her lips into his mouth.

"No,you made dinner so I wouldn't dare do that"Lilian chuckles and she stops awkwardly when she sees Austin's serious gaze.

"I thought I could help keep your company in drinking alone"Austin said and stands up.Lilian had expected him to come forward to her and maybe drop a kiss on her lips but he just passed by her over to fridge.Lilian felt stupid to have thought that and she turns to face Austin who brought out two cans from the fridge.

"One for you,one for me"Austin said and flashed Lilian a smile.

"Come on"he motions for Lilian to come join him on the sofa.Lilian takes a seat beside him and Austin opens the can of one of the drink.He handed it over to Lilian and she waited for him to open his too.

"Cheers"Austin said and clink his can with Lilian's.

He dawns it first and Lilian watch intently,amazed of how smooth he is in drinking.But then she thought he must have had a fun life where he had lived.

"Are you backing out now"Austin said when he sees Lilian hadn't taken a sip out of the can she held.

"No"she said and gulps down a little of the alcohol.Her mouth curled up in distaste at how bitter the drink was.She had always avoided it because of the one time she had mistakenly sipped an alcohol from her dad's bottle.She had thought it was water and when she tasted it,she had spitted it out instantly.

"How do you drink this"Lilian said with her face still in canonical distaste.Austin laughs louder than he had intended to.

"Honestly this is bitter than my dad's cooking"She said also joining in the laughter.

"It's actually good Lilian,when you have the first taste it might seem a lot bitter but when you are engrossed in it,you wouldn't remember how bitter it tasted"Austin said.

"Hmm…let me try again then"Lilian said and closed her eyes before dawning another content into her mouth.

"Goodness sake,you said it was going to be good"Lilian said when she had drank a little again.

"I said it wouldn't be little sips,but don't push yourself okay,there's still lot of days to learn drinking"Austin said and Lilian furrowed her brows jokingly.

"I should at least learn a good lesson tonight then"Lilian said and instantly begin to gulp down the whole alcohol in the can.Austin's eyes wildened as he sees her determination.She dropped the can on the table after she was done and used the back of her palm to wipe the alcohol that was on her lips.

"God Lily"Austin exclaimed as he stares at her in astonishment.

"I…"Lilian was about to talk but suddenly see the room spinning.

"What…why is the room spinning"Lilian said with her eyes wildened.Austin knew right away she was drunk.There's no way a first timer will take that lot and not get drunk.He sees her trying to stand up and he caught her in his arms before she could land hard on the sofa.He held her petite body in his hold as his eyes roams around her flushed face.Lilian had looked up at him like she was trapped in a trance.Her drunken state lifts her hand up to touch Austin's face.She moved her hand to explore Austin's face and her hand ended at Austin's lips.She gazes intently at Austin's eyes while her hand was still paused at his lip.

"You are really bad"Lilian said with her brows furrowed.She moved her gaze to Austin's lips and lifts up her head to glue her lips with Austin's.Austin just stayed rigid,he wouldn't dare take advantage of a drunk woman.
