Desire for Victory and Defeat

In a bid to rescue her own appearance, Lai Zhiyun quickly caught up on some sleep.

However, after waking up from her extra sleep, her eyes had also become puffy.

Staring at herself in the mirror for nearly a minute, Lai Zhiyun couldn't help feeling dismayed.

How come she looked uglier the more she slept?

With both hands covering her face, Lai Zhiyun went downstairs to find Zhou Liao.

"Zhou Liao, I've ruined my face."

Zhou Liao was making porridge in the kitchen. Hearing Zhiyun's voice, he turned his head with a soup spoon in hand, "What happened?"

"Look at my eyes, don't they resemble a sad frog?"

Lai Zhiyun crossed her legs and leaned slightly against the edge of the kitchen island as she stood there. When Zhou Liao looked over, she cradled her face with her hands, blinked her eyes, and asked somewhat gloomily.

"Not at all."

Zhou Liao took two steps forward, shifting the spoon in his hand behind his back, "They're just a bit swollen, an ice compress will do."
