Lingxiao pushed the door open and saw her, Xiangning, sitting alone at the table, drawing patterns.
"Aren't you afraid of ruining your eyes with strain?" Lingxiao walked up to Xiangning and, seeing the mandarin ducks playing among the lotuses she was drawing, asked with a smile, "Are you preparing your dowry embroidery?"
"I'm planning to embroider a pair of pillows for my elder brother and Sister Min," Xiangning glanced at him.
"If you do it yourself, when will you finish it? I'll have someone go to Jiangnan tomorrow to buy a ready-made set and bring it back." Lingxiao, as if he were in his own home, took off his outer robe, remaining in his undershirt, walked over to Xiangning's side, and held her in his arms.
"Can something bought be the same as what I'd embroider for them?" Xiangning's face flushed as she looked up at him, reaching to remove his mask, "You don't need to wear this in front of me."
