The Last Day (Part 1)

Anka did not feel out of place stressed by the situation, on the contrary she was happy in a way.

She couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

Her personality underwent some changes with the deciphering of those sealed memories, but they weren't big. Maybe only her aura became more mature, but the behavior was the same.

She enjoyed reading all kinds of information about the latest events in the universe and even compared them to what information was in her mind.

Meanwhile, the others searched for magic and temple-related books. Because their lives depended on both of them, they were quite desperate.

Calculating the time, it now had to be the early morning of 7 days since they had been on this planet, which was very controversial because so much had happened that it seemed much longer.

Since they only had a few hours left, it was inevitable that they would be agitated.

Then around noon they finally discovered where those magic books were kept.

They found out something even more wonderful in the meantime: that they were in a magical library and the books that fit them best would automatically come to them.

The secret room with the magic books was also big but in a different sense.

It was round in shape and outside the entrance there were only bookshelves everywhere. They climbed up continuously and the end could not be seen.

The floor had a crystal ball in the center that emitted a little light.

As if the information was already in their minds, they knew they had to get their hands on the object to receive the correct carriage.

Although they couldn't say where this knowledge came from, they didn't have the time or energy to investigate it.

Everyone got at least one book, some more and the odd chira.

Anka was the last to enter the room to get the magic book. It wasn't something she needed now, but she had to do it as an eye to the system.

Even if there were chances that she was the Dead goddess, the power she has now is not comparable to the one she has in her memory, so she has to keep a low profile in front of the universe for now.

The System is a being she must avoid for now, as for the little system she will soon meet he has other plans.

The girl put her hand on the crista ball and it immediately shone. The library shook a little then seven books came at once.

They were quite thick and heavy, but Anka didn't even blink and put them in the system bag indifferently.

Her mind had a lot on her mind right now, but they were put on hold until the script was finished. Now she wanted to explore the temple.

She wanted to release all the souls that were still trapped here and so her powers would grow again.

Only this time she'll do it in a way that won't put pressure on her physical body.

She will use the methods of the system to evolve her sealed skills and everything will be fine.

In short terms the ability 'I will judge anyone I see' (C-???) will evolve, which requires the destruction of 10,000 black souls.

From her memory she learned that black souls are souls that have stayed so long in the material world that they forgot everything and the only thing left were negative feelings.

In general, this soul time is a bit hard to find due to many factors that can intervene, but fate brought it to a planet full of such souls.

Last night when she used the lie punishment as evidence in front of the group, her soul was drawn to the cry of a group of black souls and released them, so at least 5,000 souls must have been destroyed already.

By destroyed it does not refer to the literal destruction but to a complicated process by which it cuts the ties with past emotions and the rebirth of a new mind.

Anyway, our girl was very determined in this idea so the short time she has was used very intelligently.

The group didn't seem to notice her disappearance, nor did they care about her anyway.

She wandered through the chasms of the caves below the temple and all the souls she found chained as in her dream were collected.

She didn't count them but she knew there were many.

Then she even found the precious stone that supported the gate to the Afterlife.

Well, as far as she knew ,that stone didn't really do that. It was more like a save point for a dimensional gate, it didn't require energy. However, it looked quite spectacular.

It's a bit stuck now.

Even if it didn't require energy, it's true that those ropes came from it...

In fact, the situation was simple but also complicated to explain.

As is known here is the gate to the Afterlife . Here is also the temple of the Dead goddess. It is true that it was quite a Sacred place. But the reason behind that string is not really relevant to these things above, yet not completely separate.

The souls that the girl saw on the first day were servants from the other world (Afterlife) who were supposed to take care of the realm of the Dead. These servants themselves were punished souls.

They had the duty to bring other evil souls to replace them to advance in the cycle of death. So when they see a soul that has a little darkness, they mark it with the seal of death and wait for its censure in the world beyond. The more souls he brings, the lighter his punishment.

So in a way the situation is a bit…

'There are only four people left who still have that string, the rest are dead...'

'I'm not sure but I think I can take it from their souls...'

'But even if I can do it, will I?'

'I don't really care about them...'

'Can I exchange interests?'

'I can't think of anything they could buy for their life with...'

' To be good?'

'Can I hear what I'm thinking? I am the supposed goddess of death...'

'Can I really stand another death?'

' Our team really got a little small...'

'Anyway we become enemies under this scenario, so it's preferable that they die.'

'That's not how my principles work.'

'I should probably help that Matella woman.'

'Yes we had an understanding...'

' But the rest will probably come to me with stupid reasons to help them.'

'Arguments that will try to take advantage of my morality, sympathy and pity.'

'What will I do then?'

'I guess I'll just ignore them?'

' I don't think it's possible. It will probably be easier if I release them directly...'

Anka carried a long pros and cons weighing in her head and without knowing it was already approaching dinner time.

She looked again at the beautiful red stone that was embedded in the wall, and a sudden impulse came to her.

She took out the dagger and took out the stone.

As soon as it reached her hand a vortex of black mist that usually swallowed souls in the form of pearls, she absorbed it without a trace.

Anka was satisfied and headed back towards the upper temple.
