The boy, Vanitas stares at his status.

'Should I laugh because after a long time, I finally realize that I have a name or should I cry because both of them are words that never encapsulate what I really am.' I thought as I stared at those floating screen text.

He couldn't help but feel an unpleasant feeling churning in his stomach every time he looked at that title, the title "The Last Kin of Ofokoshima", even though there was no description of it. Just its name was more than enough for him to understand its very meaning.

"Doesn't Matter."

He said as if everything that has happened to him doesn't really matter.

'Everything just doesn't make sense.'

Inspecting the Titles he has, he saw that all of them are fuck up in every way possible.

It sure is funny, though, the ability to have knowledge of the universe itself has.

'I would love to research about this ability, but it's pretty useless to do that at a time like this' He thought so.

Then, he looked back over his shoulder and saw a gigantic Skull towering over him. It's a bit intimidating since it feels like he's but an ant in front of it. Without wasting time, he starts inspecting the outer layer of the skull.

''There are signs of cracks in the skull indicating that it is very very old.''

He muttered, even though it was intimidating, he needed to know what was in there.

Without pausing, he started walking. Inside the skull is a spacious land that could somehow house an entire estate. His eyes darted toward the distorted space in the middle, the feeling of being pulled over was quite unique since it was his first time feeling this kind of magnetism.

According to the law of electrostatic, the higher the opposite attracts, with a force that is proportional to the product of charge, which is his case, the magnetism that binds him.

Feeling a little curious, he started approaching it. He raised his hand, He tried to get closer and to his surprise, his hand passed, and a powerful force pushed him over, if not for his feet firmly planted on the ground, he would fly over to the other side. Feeling a bit more curious, he nodded and pulled over his sword. He hacked the space in front of him and a distorted fissure appeared upon him. For a moment he thought that he would be sucked in. Once the fissure calmed down, the force that pushed him had already disappeared. Then, without further Ado, he clamps his feet and starts walking.

Throughout the whole time he's walking, his whole body was wobbling without control over it. Though he found the event quite amusing.

The thought of powerful energy concealing itself within this space is quite a horror since whatever is in here isn't normal. The question in his mind has found its answer after he reaches the core of the place.

There, a core, that releases an almost nigh-infinite amount of energy is floating in the middle of the place. It seems that it learned to conceal itself from any potential threat by releasing an amount of mana enough to distort the space. He read it in the book, this type of core is usually cores that are considered a national treasure and old enough to have a sentience, usually hundreds of years are needed for this to happen.

He cautiously approaches the core, he isn't greedy and just strides forward. To steady and respectively, so that he won't scare the sentient core or whatever horror is this. The air then freezes, and the boy stops afraid that any slight movement could be his end. The core humm, with a disturbing sound, a shiver then ran down to the boy's spine.

Vanitas' eyes widen, He immediately retreats because of death oozing down the sentient core. The core darted forward, after him, he dodged the first surprised dash, but the second one, he confronted it. He raised his sword as he tried to cut it down.

Quite a reckless act for someone whose mind is calculating every possibility of survival.

Contrary to what he expected, it flew straight to him and latched into his chest. An unimaginable pain that neutralizes any move and strategy of his thinking.

"Arggggghhh!!!"

Vanitas' cries reached every part of the skull and his eyes bled like there was no tomorrow, his body was slowly turning pale eyes that were black turn grey and his body slowly thinning until his body was nothing but a skeleton with blood and skin. He once again felt the same pain he had gone through, the feeling of nostalgia in the form of pain woke him up.

"FUCK!"

'AISHHH!!'

'WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!'

'FUCK THIS IS KILLING ME!'

"DAMNABLE LIFE"

He yelled at the top of his lungs, As he screamed his agony.

He gnashed his teeth as he reached toward the core that was seeping his energy and mana, he reached out his chest as he attempted to rack open his ribs where the core was attempting to take place.

Cracked!

His cartilage split the very moment he grasped the core, he immediately put pressure on it. Trying his best to destroy it with nonexistent strength, blood splattered the ground.

Unbeknownst to him, his desperate attempt to break free on the core stacked in his inside, the core felt the bloodline roaring at him.

Whoosh.

"No…" He said, as his eyes slowly closed over. For a moment there's silence but a loud cry takes over the silence and the core roars as it tries to take control over the boy.

That was when the boy's first death happened.

[Recalibrating the system…. 1%… 15%...

25%… 45%... ERROR… ERROR…]

...…

[The condition has been met]

[Initiating awakening of the bloodline…]

[1%… 5%… 10%… 20%… 45%... 50%… 61%… 69%… 75%… 81%… 100%…]

Vanitas' eyes turn black and white before he feels the energy coming back to him, he can hear a series of notifications coming from the asylum system. He took a deep breath and exhaled it, he started inhaling and exhaling, like a fish desperate for water.

Before he could even see what happened to him, the skull that sheltered him was destroyed. A giant abomination, shaped in a four legged monstrosity. With the immense amount of gelatin-like head covered with wolf fur in its arm and the hand of a skeleton. The sluggish monster makes it looks like a sewer slime but the fact that this is more of abomination can't be overlooked.

It have a body yet at the same time it looks like a slime, but that's not what is important. What matters the most is the boy stunned by the turn of events. His mind was spinning trying to find a way out, Or so he tried.

When the arms made up of bones swung, the place visibly lost its air around it.

A powerful gust of wind slapped Vanitas' whole body, and without any way out, the only way he could do it was to face it and pray tell he wouldn't die.

BOOOOM!!!

His body flew like a ragdoll, like some kind of paper mache in a printer that had no use.

Casually sweeping Vanitas' body without any way depending is a nightmare he now faces.

His body flew over the area, and in an instance of another impending death, he was but without any resistance from it. The blood splattered the area he landed on, his body, intact, couldn't be more horrible than before.

Just then, his overwhelming vitality finally shows its use. His body healed at an unbelievable rate, the Umbilicus and the intestines that were all over the place had found their way back, his bones that were destroyed beyond recovery had healed and his organs impaled with his ribs had also recovered very quickly. But just because he healed so fast, doesn't mean he doesn't feel anything. Contrary to the fact that he had been healed, the agonizing pain washed over him again and again since his body was healing every inch and every cell he had.

His healing ability is like an angel, but deeply it was but a devil in disguise.
