Dead Again?

After Bernard warned them, they all ready their weapon and became alert. Heizen also corrected his posture and caught the boar's tusk like a spear. 

"Goblin settlement. Around 20 adult Goblin. The highest is only at level 4. I will deal with the leader, you guys kill the remaining ones. Be careful." Bernard warned. 

"Bowen, you cover them from behind and don't let them get in danger." He said to the archer at the back. 

"OK," Bowen nodded and climbed the tree to get into the position. 

"Ok, let's go." 

After that, Heizen, Sarah, and Sophie slowly walked forward. 

They saw crude camps made of wood and leaves in front of them. Several Goblins were doing some stuff in their camps. 

"System, optimize the status panel according to the new information. Show only essential info and skills, and delete the unnecessary data." 

Heizen quickly ordered the System in his mind while walking closer to the camp.

After getting affirmation, Heizen quickly looked at the middle of the camp. He saw a tall Goblin different from others sitting at the center.

When they were almost at the camp, the chieftain also discovered them.

He roared and all the Goblins in the camp ran in their direction with their bone weapon. 

"Ok, I will fight with the chieftain, you guys cleared up the remaining mobs," Bernard ordered and ran toward the leader. 

Heizen picked up his spear and quickly made his way toward the nearest goblin. 

After knowing the power system of this world, he had a rough idea of how to deal with the monsters. 

So, he used his agility to his advantage and impaled the tusk at the back of a Goblin at an extreme speed. 

"Screech." 

Without paying attention to the sound, he quickly picked up the weapon and distanced himself again. 

"Mana-shield." Just then a blue light covered his body from head to toe. 

"This shield can last for 10 breaths. You can deal with them during that time." Sarah quickly added. 

Heizen nodded and started to deal with the monsters at the periphery. While fighting, he also paid attention to his team members. 

Bernard was fighting head-on with the leader of the tribe. From the looks of it, it would not take long for him to deal with him. 

Sarah quickly cast the mana shield to herself and Sophie, while firing a wind blade from the distance. 

Sophie was even more aggressive. She was firing fireballs one after another. She almost killed 3 Goblin herself in no time. 

Bowen was also firing arrows continuously. But he was paying more attention to the safety of the girls.

"Ok, let's rest for a while and then we will return," Bernard said. 

"Sophie, please help burn these corpses." He asked while piling them up. 

Sophie fired a fireball and burned all of them to crisps. 

"Come to think of it, the corpse here didn't dissolve like in the dungeon." Heizen thought. 

He picked up his weapon and came to the campsite. Just when he was trying to lean down on a tree and rest, a robotic sound came to his mind.

Heizen quickly became alert. Now, he would get scared when listening to this sound. 

"Hum, if I was alone, I would be no match for the Goblin chieftain. So, now that we have cleared the camp, there shouldn't be any risk left, right?"

Heizen thought. 

Though there was a risk, the gains were always worth it. Furthermore, the Cyclope eye didn't sound particularly precious. 

Thinking so, Heizen slowly went towards the central camp.

After entering it, he rummaged through the stuff and found an oval eyeball mixed with mucous below the bed.

He quickly stuffed it into his portable space without checking it. He then breathed a sigh of relief. 

"Don't you have a weapon? You are always using that animal bone to fight." 

When he went out of the camp, he saw Sarah asking him something. 

Just when he was about to reply, a huge shadow enveloped both of them. 

"Watch out," Heizen yelled and grabbed the waist of Sarah and rolled towards the ground. 

"Bang." The whole tent collapsed under the heavy force. If he was a step late, he would be a minced meat now.

"Roar," seeing that its prey had dodged the blow, Cyclope got angry. It quickly ran towards Heizen at an incredible speed. 

"Damn, at level 10, slow agility is not going to work anymore." He thought in exasperation.

"Run separately. It is a level 10 Cyclope." Heizen yelled at his teammates who were coming in his direction. 

He quickly picked up Sarah from the ground and ran in another direction.

He knew that this monster was eyeing that Cyclope eye. So, it would definitely follow him. 

Due to the increased agility, he was able to run faster. If it was any other monster than Cyclope, he would be caught even with increased speed.

"Which direction is the town?" Heizen asked Sarah in his arms while running. 

"Roar," the monster seemed more enraged as it began to run even faster towards him. 

"That way." Sarah quickly pointed at the right side with her hand. 

Her face was a little red. Nobody had ever touched her before, not to mention this intimately. 

However, the situation was dire and she couldn't say anything.

She just placed her hand tightly on the Heizen's shoulder so that she wouldn't accidentally fall. 

Heizen had no time to take care of the beauty.

A giant monster was running at a fast speed behind him that could punch him into a pulp with a fist. So, how could he think of other things?

After 15 minutes of continuous running, they finally saw the official road. The 1-hour journey was completed in 15 minutes. You can imagine, how fast he ran. 

"Hah, hah." He was gasping for breath. His stamina had bottomed out. 

"Fortunately, it didn't follow us all the way." Heizen looked behind and relaxed a little after seeing no one. 

He quickly let go of the girl and sat down on the grass at the roadside. 

"Are you ok?" Sarah asked as she opened a bottle of water and gave it to him. 

Heizen quickly drank all the water and washed his face to get rid of the heat. 

"I will be fine after resting for a while. Thank you!"

He replied and gave the water bottle back. It was made up of some plastic-like material. 

"Well, thank you for helping me. That was really dangerous." Sarah said in a frightened tone. 

"It's ok," Heizen replied weakly. Only he knew who was at fault. If he hadn't picked up that eye, they would be returning safely now. 

"You seem stronger than you look. Your speed is no joke." Sarah said. Her cheeks were slightly red but Heizen failed to see them. 

"Haha, my agility is slightly higher." He replied perfunctorily. 

After both of them rested for about 15 minutes, they saw Sophie, Bernard, and Bowen walk out from the other side. 

"Thank god, you two are ok. That was dangerous." Sophie said while checking the condition. 

"That was my dereliction of duty. I should have thoroughly checked the surroundings. I am sorry." 

Bernard apologized while bowing toward Heizen and Sarah. 

"It's ok, that wasn't your fault. It was unexpected." 

"Yeah, don't worry about it." Heizen also replied. 

"Thank you!" Bernard said and continued. 

"Let's go to the town if you have rested enough. It is almost night."

"Ok." Everyone nodded as they proceeded along the cobblestone path into town.
