The next morning, the sun bathed the fields surrounding the mansion in golden light. The crops were growing steadily, and the sounds of birds chirping filled the air. Alex stood outside near the barn, watching the land that was now a symbol of everything he had worked for. A smile crossed his face as he spotted his son Joan, sitting near the fence, watching the animals graze.

Alex approached Joan, his boots crunching softly against the gravel path. His son, now almost twelve, was growing fast, both physically and in his magical abilities.
