Chapter 9 - A long Week

Principal Ohanyan and the students shuddered at Captain García's roar, everyone tensed and focused their gaze on the captain, who at some point had stood in front of the students.

"Well, it looks like screaming will do for now."

A sadistic smile appeared on her face, and Alex and the other students felt a chill when they saw her smile.

For a moment, they did not know how to react.

"You have exactly 10 seconds to form a line."

The students stood frozen while the captain counted.

Alex, along with Ivan and two other children, shuddered and ran to line up.

They didn't know why, but they didn't want to know what would happen if they didn't comply.

Captain García's eyes lit up. She didn't have much faith in the group of 15, but it seemed that four of them were astute enough to understand that they wouldn't want to disobey her orders.

"... 10, it seems that everyone has followed their example. If you had not been trained, the punishment would be to run until fainting, and believe me…"

Before finishing her sentence, García's smile disappeared, and she looked at everyone menacingly.

"...I have the authority to do it."

Alex felt that these days had been hell. Starting from the first day, as soon as they formed the line, the captain assigned them to three teams: Team 1, Team 2, and Team 3.

It's not like she put much effort into naming the teams...

The captain explained that each team, after the "normal" morning classes finished, would be in charge of patrolling, guarding, and rapid action tasks.

Patrol meant a kind of exploration team responsible for monitoring the outskirts of the gym and contacting the rapid response team.

Guard was in charge of access to the gym and its defense. Alex had a bad feeling when he heard the word "defense" from the captain's smiling mouth.

And finally, Quick Action, they would be in charge of immediate movement when the patrol and guard teams required it.

Of course, before doing the aforementioned exercises, they would have a strict academic training schedule. They would start at 5 in the morning doing exercises until 7, take a shower and have breakfast until 8, and from there until 2 in the afternoon, they would have basic academic knowledge.

From 2 to 3 p.m., they would have their break to eat, shower, and, if they were lucky, sleep a little. Until now, no one had had time to sleep.

But the real hell would come at 3 p.m. when their military tasks began. In the week that had passed, they were learning martial arts, military marching, and field knowledge. They had heard that they would begin to implement the use and maintenance of firearms soon.

Alex felt like he was preparing for the special forces. He had lost track of time; he only knew that a week had already passed since he entered this hell.

Today, Alex was with his team as a Guard. It was 8:00 p.m., and he was completely attentive.

His mission was to patrol his 'command center,' specifically the gym. During this week, their objectives had varied as they were always rotating.

Today, Captain García had decided to increase the level of difficulty.

García and her team, when midnight arrived, moved to a small room where they monitored the students.

She had conveyed her decision to the students and had instructed her sergeants on the mission to infiltrate and steal a package provided to the cadets.

García smiled as she remembered what was inside the package, and she smiled even more as she remembered what failing the mission would mean for the cadets.
