Chapter 16 - Infiltration #3

"Huf, h-hey Alex, huf, I see cloudy…"

Alex, who was about to turn around and choke the fat man who did nothing but complain, heard a slight crunching noise.

"Hey, fat guy, get on the floor."

"Hey?"

And without giving Robert time to think, he grabbed him by the neck and fell to the ground with the surprised boy.

"Shh, I think I heard something…"

"Ivan?"

Just when Alex had covered the fat man's mouth to prevent him from making any noise, he heard the voice of his friend.

"Ivan, what are you doing outside the headquarters?"

Ivan was happy to see Alex unharmed. He was about to go hug his friend when he realized that they were in the middle of a mission, and it was not the time to waste time.

"Shit, Alex, after you didn't show up, I immediately retreated to headquarters. I figured something was wrong when you didn't show up."

Alex, who had just gotten up, breathed a sigh of relief, but he was also surprised to hear Ivan's story. He was also proud to see how quickly Ivan had made decisions, and above all, he felt like hanging those five idiots from group 1 who almost threw the mission overboard.

The three cadets were sweating bullets. If Ivan seemed like a strict superior while they were scolded, Alex, just by looking at them, gave them the impression of an impassive judge about to sentence the three to the electric chair.

"S-we're sorry."

"You… it's okay, Alex. It's just five unlucky idiots. Let it be."

Alex, who listened to his friend, looked at the three with a cold look and nodded his head. He knew that, in the bigger picture, these three were essential to pass the mission. God knows how many cadets had been killed by the infiltrators.

"Well, the situation is this: the fat guy next to me was immobilized with a taser while you were urinating next to a tree…"

Robert, who was about to introduce himself, froze at Alex's words. His face paled, and his mouth opened like a cartoon. He watched as Alex, with the same impassive look, told these cadets the shameful story of him.

"Pff."

"Hey, bastard, you're laughing!"

Robert, who yelled at the cadet who was holding the package, was hit on the head by Alex.

"Shit, fat man, calm down. You will make them locate us."

Ivan, who looked at the situation with a face of reluctance, shook his head and calmed the situation.

"Okay, we have to calm down. The past stays in the past. Now, the important thing is to see what steps to take next."

Alex, who was angry with poor Robert again, calmed down and nodded, took a deep breath, and looked at the group of cadets gathered.

"Well, I have a plan. It's risky, but as long as we follow it, I don't think we can't pass the mission…"

"Sergeant Volkov, Ramírez here. We have sighted the cadets."

While Alex and his group planned their next move, the two sergeants watched them with a smile of anticipation. They had been watching from afar a moment ago and were surprised by the mental agility of these children. Others would already be running around like headless chickens.

"This is Volkov. Keep an eye on the cadets and wait for their next move."

Ramírez and Petrov looked at each other. Although they were wearing night vision goggles, they could tell that the other was smiling at the audacity of the little cadets.

"...Okay, and that's the whole plan."

Ivan, Robert, and the other three cadets looked at Alex with strange looks. They knew how risky his plan was, but they still couldn't help but agree. Anyway, they couldn't think of anything better.

Robert put his hand on Alex's shoulder and gave him a thumbs-up in acknowledgment.

"Shit, I never thought there would be someone more shameless than me."

Alex's eyebrows furrowed; for some reason, this fat man was able to get him off his nerves with just a few words.

"Take your hands off me."

Robert withdrew his hand with an awkward smile, yet he recovered immediately and acted as if nothing had happened.

Ivan, who saw all this, applauded and made everyone concentrate again.

"Well, since there are no complaints about Alex's plan, let's get going."

Before the group could take a single step, Volkov, through the intercom, told the sergeants to move to capture the cadets. He did so at the same time as he prepared to enter the gym where the package they had was located.

"Okay guys, your tenacity is admirable, but that's all. Surrender obediently and no one will get hurt."

Alex and company were surprised by the two men in front of them. They seemed like something out of a spy movie, but what made them shiver were their robust figures. They realized that they had no chance against the two men, but still…

"Fat man, Ivan, and you two come with me and let's keep our guests busy."

Alex was the first to speak of the group, which made the two sergeants and the captain and the two lieutenants who were watching surprised.

"This brat is really tenacious."

Captain García laughed loudly. What she valued most was courage, and it seemed that these cadets were not lacking in it.

Ramírez and Petrov looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders, giggled lightly, and got ready.

"Okay, brat, I admit that you have courage. Let's see if it's not just an impulse of the moment."

"Run with the package!"
