Journey to the Crystal Tower

The ancient stones of Castle Viscine loomed before Vincent as he approached, his sports car speed allowing him to cover the vast distance from Eldoria in a few short hours. The familiar Gothic spires and gargoyles, once a source of comfort, now seemed to harbor untold secrets and dangers.

As Vincent entered the grand foyer, he was immediately on alert. The air felt different, charged with an unseen tension. Servants scurried about, their eyes downcast, avoiding his gaze more than usual.

"Your Highness," a voice called out, and Vincent turned to see his steward, Aldric, approaching with a bow. "We weren't expecting you back so soon."

Vincent's eyes narrowed slightly. "Plans change, Aldric. Where is my sister?"

Denise had been released from the dungeon by Princess Jasmine who had begged Vincent to punish their sister in another way.

Aldric hesitated for a fraction of a second – a pause that wouldn't have been noticeable to human ears, but to Vincent, it spoke volumes.
