1 THE OATH

Ariana, Aria and Angelina stood rigid while taking an oath to complete their missions with utter sincerity and responsibility. It was new come for Angelina to an oath like this. She was going to turn eighteen this year. A task will decide her life, to be lived as an Angel or not. Amidst chaos in her mind, she stood straight. A pile of nervous coiling around her guts as she repeated the words after her sister.

Elysium was a world of pure beauty. A home to all the Angels, where they lived together and travelled to human world for their missions. Their only mission was to save human from the pawns of evil. The diamond under her palm grew bright with different colours. Angelina drew her brows together, she was told about the glowing diamond. The colour will tell her about her powers. But, seeing so many colours together made her thinking shut down.

As the oath came to an end, she straightened her eyes to her elder sister.

"Sister Aria, what does this colour tells about my power." Pointing at diamond in her hand she asked.

Aria's face twisted into a frown, she herself was confused. Her hand raised to pat Angelina's shoulder, assuring her.

"Everything will be clear. Let me have a talk with Aiden." Gently, taking the diamond in her gloved hands she walked to her husband.

Aiden stood in the podium. Adorned in a white dress. Desperate for her wife's arrival. His gaze lingered on the figure as he narrowed his eyes. A sigh of relief escaped from his mouth as he neared her. She took her steps with sheer elegance. She wasn't near any high spirits like Gabriel but she knows what she powers she possess and who she is.

"What does the diamond says, Aria?" His question rushed out eagerly as he held her shoulder in his soft grip.

Without saying anything, she raised her hands, showing him the glowing diamond. It shone bright with rays of uncountable colours illuminating from it.

Aiden's mouth dropped, he couldn't possess any thoughts. His eyes glowed with the reflection. As he raised his hands to grasp his hold on diamond.

"This is far beyond our powers." Aiden muttered, his chest tightening as he realised the upcoming future of his sister in law.

Aria sensed his 'but' and nudged him to go on. Her eyes shone with fear.

"But, Angelina's mission is going to be tough. We can only pray for her." He heaved a sigh into the air. Aria gulped before closing her eyes. This couldn't be happening. But, she knew it. One day or the other Angelina have to face her fate. Seems like Aria can't hide the secret anymore. A silent wave of emotion passed through them as they consoled each other, eyes shining with pure fear.

On the other hand, Ariana nudged Angelina with gloved elbow, making her snap out of her reverie.

"Sister Angelina, are you excited for your future first task." Ariana cheered, her curly red hairs bouncing with the turn of her head.

"I sure am. But, nervous is overpowering it." Angelina spoke truth, knotting her fingers together. Eyes furrowed in fusion.

"Few days more, and we will be back on earth. How is the experience going on?" Ariana changed the topic, seeing her nervous. Red ruby diamonds dangling from her ears.

Angelina's gloved fingers raised in her sister's ears direction. A different look in her eyes.

"The experience is good far most. But, I can't understand. Why am I so different from you all?" Dropping her hands she glanced over her reflection in the holy water. Long pointed ears, white pupil eyes with platinum hair reflected back. She was pure white. None of the Angels from Elysium was white, everyone had a colour to reflect their powers. But she didn't yet still her diamond glowed with in numerous colours.

Aria's soft steps with pure elegance made them turn around and wave at her.

Aria, the eldest sister, radiated with a serene grace that captivated all who beheld her. Her wings shimmered like iridescent pearls, and her golden halo emitted a soft, celestial glow. She was known for her wisdom and compassion, often sought after by other angels for guidance and counsel.

Ariana, the middle sister, was the embodiment of passion and courage. Her fiery red wings blazed with intensity, matching the fervor of her spirit. She possessed a quick wit and a mischievous grin that could brighten even the darkest corners of Elysium.

Angelina, the youngest sister, was a vision of purity and innocence. Her wings were the color of freshly fallen snow, and her laughter echoed like tinkling bells across the heavens. She had a gentle nature and a heart overflowing with kindness, always seeking to bring joy to those around her.

On this particular day, the sisters had gathered in the garden of Elysium for Angelina's oath, surrounded by blooming flowers and sparkling streams. As they basked in the warm embrace of the sun, Aria spoke, her voice melodious like the whisper of the wind.

"Dear sisters," she began, her eyes sparkling with warmth, "I have been contemplating the wonders of creation, and I cannot help but marvel at the beauty of our world."

Turning to Angelina, she caressed her sister's arm with pure adoration making her nervousness and doubts fly away from her mind.

"Sister Angelina, things have been worked out wonderful in your way. Soon, you will be bestowed with your first mission. Our prayers and guidance are with you." Addressing Angelina she soothed her thoughts.

Ariana chuckled, her eyes dancing with mischief. "Ah, but sister, you always find wonder in the simplest of things. Why, just the other day, you were enraptured by a mere mortal's painting of a sunset." Her words contrasts to Aria's earlier words.

"And yes, even my wishes are with you." Tilting her head she continued nudging Angelina again making her shake her head and laugh on her words

Aria smiled indulgently. "Indeed, sister, for in every stroke of color, I see the hand of our Creator. Is it not a marvel that even mortals possess the spark of divinity within them?"

Ariana couldn't help but roll her eyes on her sister's hard words, which she couldn't digest. Aria always had her way with words. She spoke with sheer elegance and graceful-ness.

Angelina nodded eagerly, her eyes wide with wonder. "Oh yes, sister! I believe that every living being is a testament to the infinite love and creativity of our Creator."

Ariana rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, spare us your poetic musings, Ariana. Sometimes I think you spend too much time frolicking in the clouds and not enough time embracing reality." She couldn't help but let out a chuckle in the end.

Angelina stuck out her tongue in mock indignation. "Well, at least I have a sense of wonder, unlike some angels I know who are too busy lecturing us about the mysteries of the universe."

Aria chuckled, a twinkle of amusement in her eyes. "Now, now, my dear sisters, there is no need for such bickering. We each have our own perspectives to share, and it is through our differences that we learn and grow."

Ariana grinned mischievously. "Oh, but where would be the fun in that, sister? I much prefer our lively debates and spirited banter."

Aria shook her head fondly. "You will never change, will you, Ariana? But come, let us set aside our differences for now and enjoy this moment of tranquility together." She was successful in making Angelina forget about the glowing diamond. Only their Creator knows with what fate she is going to be blessed.

The sisters continued to laugh and converse, their voices blending harmoniously with the melody of the celestial realm. For in the bond they shared, they found strength, joy, and the truest expression of love.
