"Its my birthday today." She muttered softly.
"And I am not your birthday gift with which you will play for some time and throw away." He muttered loud enough for her to hear. He sounded rude and she was hurt.
"No, you took it all in a wrong way. I am just offering to help." She informed, holding his wrist and her eyes wide, hurt totally visible in her eyes.
"Are you always this rude or you are being rude to me purposely?" she asked still holding his wrist. Now the hurt was turned thick, shining tears which were on the edge to roll down.
Xavier poked his cheek with his tongue on the insult and almost jerked his hand out of her grip but then again, he didn't wanted the drama to end to so not in his way. Because she was nothing but the sunshine of this school.
"Nobody talked like this with me. What wrong did I ever did to you? Today is my birthday, you can't be a little nice. You hurt me." Xavier felt like hitting his brain on the wall. What a girl she was.
Many people complained him but he just couldn't come to ignore her complains. He panicked seeing her sobbing. Now the students walking through the hallway curiously glanced at them. Some glaring at him, too
"Hey hey, shushh. No, no, no. Please don't cry," he panicked and shook her hands.
"You hurt me," she choked between a sob.
"I hurt you, right. It was me. My fault I am sorry. Please I am sorry." He rambled whatever came in his mind wiping her tears.
"Are you even truly sorry?" She asked hitting him on his chest.
"Yeah, I am now, please stop crying." He begged her.
"Promise me, you will hangout with me the whole day." She asked rubbing her eyes.
"Okay, I promise. Please stop crying now." He pleaded making her stop crying. He wasn't afraid of her tears and crying but of the attention they were grabbing. She was almost ruining his cold exterior infront of the school audience.
"Are you always a cry baby?" He was amused seeing brightly smiling the next second.
"No, I am just soft hearted. And you were really too rude. Nobody ever talked me like you did." She informed him glaring at him.
"Nobody?"
"Nobody."
"Why did you sounded so unsure?" She asked as she walked with towards the class.
"No. Its nothing," he answered and walked faster.
"Heya, wait!" She yelled behind him.
~
"You both are late." Grumbled the teacher with a stern face.
"Thanks for informing." Xavier said ignoring him and went to his seat making the teacher go red with anger.
"I apologise for my mistake, it wouldn't happen again." She apologised softly and sat beside him when the teacher gave a nod to her.
"Don't you have another place to seat on?" He asked frustratingly.
"Do you see any empty seats here?" She asked taking out her books making him grumble under his breath.
He looked at her or to say gazed at her shamelessly.
'She is beautifu- nah scratch that she is gorgeo- what the. You are not supposed to behave like that'.
'But Whats wrong in complimenting.' He thought scratching his nape.
"Okay so now do the activities given on page no ten and eleven." Said the teacher breaking his trance.
She fumbled with her pencil and did the activities. Her tongue stucking out of her mouth.
'What a pleasi-'
"Xavier why are you not doing anything?" Asked the teacher.
"Just on the way," he muttered and turned his text book pages to page number eleven..
"Hm, I am not getting this question. Mind helping me?" She asked stuck on a question.
He have a look at the question and solved it.
"That's how you do it." He gave her smug look.
"Thanks," she smiled then rolled her eyes.
"Can you ask you a question?" He asked rubbe his nape hesitantly.
"Go ahead," she muttered.
"Who is Eric to you? I mean is he your brother because you both have same eyes." He carefully asked as curiosity was bubbling up in his throat. He avoided saying 'child'.
"No he is my nephewn he is cute right." She smiled brightly at the mention of Eric.
He mentally jumped and dashed out of the room as the bell rang.
Gazing in the direction he went she muttered,-
"He is not only bipolar but weird too."
