Xavier shot him a look. “Do you always have to analyze everything, Mark?”
“Hey, it’s not me,” Mark said, holding up his hands. “Just an ‘innocent observer,’ remember?”
Angelina shook her head, trying to hold back her laughter. “Well, if it makes you feel better, Xavier’s actually picking it up pretty quickly. He’s not as hopeless as I thought.”
“Hopeless? Really?” Xavier pretended to look offended. “I’ll have you know I aced my last history paper, thank you very much.”
“Barely,” Mark coughed under his breath, making Angelina giggle.
“Okay, okay,” she said, giving them both a playful glare. “Can we get back to the topic? I don’t think I can survive another psychology lesson with you two interrupting every five seconds.”
“Oh, look at her, all serious and stuff,” Mark smirked, leaning back. “Xavier, I think you’ve met your match.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Xavier muttered, glancing at Angelina, who was clearly trying not to laugh. “Let’s just… focus, shall we?”
