Tesler The Bully

Chapter 8

'My limbs!?' Mark's eyes narrowed at the chilling threat.

Activating the Analytic Eye, he assessed Tesler's information:

Character: Tesler

Quasi-warrior

Strength: one hundred and two

Physique: Seventy-five

Speed: forty-six

Overall combat strength: seven hundred and fifty-two.

Mark's pupils constricted. Tesler was on the verge of becoming an official warrior, and except for his speed, his other attributes surpassed Mark's by far.

"Bang!" Tesler charged, aiming a punch at Mark.

Under normal circumstances, Mark could dodge, but with over one hundred kilograms weighing him down, evasion was impossible.

The blow struck Mark's chest heavily, sending a surge of pain through him as he coughed up fresh blood.

"Stop it!" Fiona rushed over, positioning herself in front of Mark protectively.

"Get lost, or you'll end up like him," Tesler snapped icily.

"Don't you dare!" Mark shot to his feet, fists clenched, his voice fierce.

Before Tesler could attack again, Mark launched his assault.

"You've overestimated your abilities," Tesler sneered, unimpressed by Mark's slow movements.

As Mark attacked, Tesler made no attempt to dodge, simply throwing a punch of his own.

But as their fists neared each other, Mark noticed something strange about Tesler's punch, there seemed to be a peculiar energy surrounding it.

Source of strength!?

Mark was stunned. How could Tesler, only a quasi-warrior, possess such advanced cultivation techniques, able to absorb energy into his body?

Their fists were about to collide when Tesler suddenly opened his hand, seizing Mark's arm with a bone-cracking grip.

Mark gritted his teeth against the searing pain as Tesler swept his leg, knocking Mark to the ground.

"Smash his legs!" Tesler's lackeys urged, while Tesler himself prepared to crush Mark's leg.

But before he could, a voice rang out, "Stop!"

Tesler hesitated momentarily before being forced back by an invisible force.

"Tesler, what are you doing?" Valor, his gaze stern, confronted Tesler.

Relieved to see Mark relatively unharmed, Valor couldn't help but sigh in relief. Mark had improved remarkably, and if he continued at this rate, he could become formidable.

"Oh, it's Teacher Luo," Tesler responded indifferently, showing no deference despite Valor's position at the academy.

"A senior bullying a sophomore?" Valor's brow furrowed with disapproval.

Though upset by Tesler's behavior, Valor knew the influence of the Tesler family in the area. They had sponsored the academy's construction.

"He broke my younger brother Sly's wrist first," Tesler retorted coldly, eyeing Mark with disdain.

Undeterred, Tesler vowed to cripple Mark, even if it meant doing so after school or during the holidays when Valor wouldn't be around to intervene.

"Mark bullied us first!" Sly's lackeys chimed in, echoing Tesler's accusation.

"The academy will determine the truth," Valor stated coldly, knowing that surveillance cameras would reveal what truly happened.

Tesler scowled before turning to leave.

"Tesler, I challenge you to a martial arts battle," Mark declared, halting Tesler in his tracks.

Tesler turned, sneering, "Are you sure?"

"Mark, don't be reckless!" Valor interjected, quickly grasping Mark's arm.

A martial arts battle was another term for a fight to the death. Neither party is held responsible for the outcome.

"You afraid?" Mark challenged, his eyes narrowing.

"What a joke," Tesler laughed. "Three days from now, in the martial arts hall."

"Brother Mark, what's a martial arts battle?" Fiona inquired nervously after Tesler had departed.

"Just a sparring match," Mark reassured her with a smile, exchanging a knowing glance with Valor.

"You must be careful," Fiona cautioned.

Shortly after, Fiona left with the teacher.

"You're going through with this?" Valor asked.

"I've made my decision," Mark affirmed. "It's not in my nature to tolerate such treatment, and old Mark has suffered enough."

Back in his dorm, Mark retrieved the bottle of medicine from his bag and applied it to his broken hand.

Originally intended as an experiment, the medicine surprised Mark with its effectiveness, numbing the pain as it began to heal his fractured bones.

As for Mark's decision to fight Tesler in the martial arts battle, it wasn't impulsive; he thought it over carefully.

With his Fury skill cooling down, and his Rapid Growth progress completed, Mark believed he had a good chance of defeating Tesler.

Despite the remarkable healing properties of the medicine, Mark opted not to focus on spear techniques that day. Instead, he retrieved the 'Rapid Growth Enlightenment Card.'

"Are you sure you want to use the Rapid Growth Enlightenment Card?" Mark received a system notification upon taking out the card.

"Yes!" he affirmed.

"Remaining time: Twenty-three hours, fifty-nine minutes, fifty-nine seconds" the system began the countdown.

As Mark concentrated on the cultivation technique, he felt his mind sharpening, enabling him to understand things he couldn't before.

Sitting cross-legged on the bed, Mark endeavored to absorb the source of energy, though initially without success.

Despite the challenge, he persisted, eventually feeling a warm sensation permeating his body, signaling success.

With each subsequent attempt, the source of energy was gradually absorbed into his body, enhancing his strength and skills.

The source of energy not only strengthened his body but also enhanced his skills, making them more powerful.

Believing the Rapid Growth Enlightenment Card aided his success, Mark noticed his experience slowly increasing with each absorption of the source of energy.

News spread through the holographic television in class: "Loser Mark to face Tesler in a martial arts battle!"

Mockery ensued from classmates, though some acknowledged Mark's past victory over August as more than luck.

Curious about Mark's absence, Tien wondered aloud about his decision to fight Tesler.

Meanwhile, Sly urges Tesler, but Tesler remains composed, planning to help his brother in due time.

Concerned about Mark's intense training regimen, Tesler's subordinate reported Mark's persistent efforts on the training ground.

Despite the initial hope that Mark possessed a way to defeat him, Tesler doubted Mark's true abilities.

At midnight, Mark diligently practiced the Rupturing Fist skill he discovered, aware of its potential dangers but confident in his ability to overcome them.

Under the moonlight, Mark's determination was evident as he trained tirelessly, his sweat mingling with the mountain air.

Utilizing the Rapid Growth Enlightenment Card, Mark's proficiency in spear art increased significantly, and his Awe of the Phoenix skill advanced to silver level.

As the night progressed, Mark absorbed sources of energy, feeling a comforting warmth envelop him as his body leveled up to level eleven.
