Chapter 1550: Voices from the Chasm

The lingering silence after the collapse of the spire was deceptive, almost tranquil, but none of them trusted it. The abyss had retreated, yet its presence lingered like an unshakable shadow. They moved through the fractured terrain, the ruins of the chamber stretching into a labyrinth of jagged rocks and shimmering voids.

Elara led the group, her steps purposeful despite the exhaustion etched into her body. Behind her, Kade kept his bow drawn, his eyes scanning for any movement. Nyssa walked on his left, daggers at the ready, while Morgana leaned heavily on her staff, her energy visibly drained from the battle.

"We need to find a safe place to regroup," Elara said, her voice firm but low. "Morgana needs to recover, and we need a plan before the abyss retaliates."

Kade nodded but kept his gaze ahead. "The question is, will it give us the time? It's not just going to let us walk away after what we just did."
