As Lucian was walking through the bustling streets of the inner city, he suddenly felt uncomfortable.
Despite the crowds, he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. His crimson eyes constantly darted from side to side, scanning the faces of passersby, searching for the source.
He tried to use his Qi Sense to detect any hidden observers, but he couldn't pick up anything unusual.
Whoever was following him was skilled at concealment. Or, perhaps they were simply observing him from a distance his Qi Sense couldn't cover.
Deciding to play it safe, Lucian chose to stick to the busiest areas of the city. He wove through the crowded market square, where merchants loudly hawked their wares.
The market was alive with activity. Vendors called out their wares, the scent of spices and roasted meats filled the air.
Cultivators haggled over spirit herbs and weapons. Under normal circumstances, Lucian would have enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
