Chapter 4: Iron Man Knows You're Transmigrator

Chapter 4: Iron Man Knows You're Transmigrator

Tony felt disdain towards the official explanation. If he could trust the words of the American authorities, pigs would fly. As a major capitalist, he knew all too well the true faces of those people.

"So, there really is a story behind this?" Tony said. "Though I don't know how he found out, it seems like there's something to verify here. JARVIS, find a way to hack into the Defense Department's intranet and see if we can retrieve the original documents!"

Tony was eager to uncover whether the extensive casualties and destruction across a whole street were caused by suicide bombers as claimed, or if this Marcus was right about there being a so-called Hulk and Abomination. Those names didn't sound like ordinary people—perhaps nicknames?

"But this also confirms my earlier judgment—that Marcus should be in the United States, or more specifically, in New York. JARVIS, is this wealthy third-generation Marcus in New York?" Tony asked.

[According to the current information available, he is indeed in New York.] JARVIS replied.

"Bingo, I guessed right!" Tony's face showed a smug smile, then he continued. Regarding the diary's mention that firefighters didn't receive compensation, Tony didn't find it strange at all.

After all, capitalist governments were always neglectful in such matters. They had even suppressed World War I veterans before; it wasn't out of character!

"Did you find anything about that 'Little Robert Downey Jr.' who looks a lot like me?" Tony asked.

[Based on the current search results, there's no one named Little Robert Downey Jr. who resembles you, sir.] JARVIS replied.

Tony furrowed his brow tightly. That meant not everything Marcus said was accurate.

Meanwhile, Marcus was in his spacious penthouse apartment, writing in his diary while watching the news. In fact, since he crossed over into this world, he had expected to awaken some superpowers or receive a system of some sort. Instead, all he got was a diary system. As long as he wrote in it every day, he could accumulate some energy. Once the energy gauge in his mind was fully charged, he could have a chance to draw a prize. Once today's diary entry was completed, Marcus's energy gauge would be fully charged for the first time. He was excited for his first chance to draw a prize.

However, his attention was quickly drawn to the news playing on the television nearby—a bank robbery. Normally, this wouldn't be remarkable in the US, where such incidents were not uncommon. But as he watched the news, a figure appeared—a woman in ancient Greek-style armor swiftly defeated the robbers and left the scene in style. The entire incident was captured on camera.

Marcus was dumbfounded! Because he was very familiar with that woman—so familiar that he couldn't help but blurt out, "Wonder Woman?"

Marcus couldn't believe his eyes. How could he encounter Wonder Woman here? This was even more absurd than him crossing over into the Marvel world and encountering Wonder Woman. He even carefully recalled memories from his previous life, and there was no mention of Wonder Woman's existence. But now, there she was—Wonder Woman. Could this be a combined Marvel-DC universe?

Marcus felt utterly bewildered! He immediately recorded this in his diary.

[Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!]

He started with three big "oh my god"s, which immediately caught Tony's attention as he was still analyzing everything.

"What's wrong with him?" Tony was a bit puzzled.

[Today in the news, I actually saw Wonder Woman, Diana! My whole worldview is shattered! This is more mind-blowing than when I realized the portrait hanging on the building wasn't a young version of Robert Downey Jr. but was supposed to be Tony Stark!]

[Transmigration was already ridiculous enough, and now I'm in this crazy Marvel universe, but I just realized I'm seeing Wonder Woman? Isn't she a superhero in the DC universe? Could this be a combined universe of multiple comics?]

Soon, Tony saw the diary entries continuously appearing, and his worldview was also slightly shattered. Marcus wasn't the only one whose worldview was shattered. Tony was also left reeling.

"What do you mean? Transmigration? Marvel? Wonder Woman? Superheroes? What are those?" Tony was dumbfounded, feeling overwhelmed by the sudden influx of information.

"JARVIS, explain to me what reincarnation or transmigration is," Tony asked, even doubting himself.

[According to the information I can find, transmigration is a term used to describe a person traveling to another world. There are many examples of this in modern literature, anime, movies, and even video games. Would you like me to list them specifically?] JARVIS replied.

"No, I just wanted to make sure I understood correctly," Tony said. "And superheroes - are the only superheroes we know of Captain America?"

[Yes, sir. When people talk about superheroes nowadays, they usually mean Captain America.] JARVIS replied.

Even in this world, America was still the top dog. With America's powerful propaganda machine, the existence of Captain America had given rise to a new term: superhero. So, in this world, when people spoke of superheroes, they were usually referring to Captain America.

"So... wait a minute, wait a minute, I need to sort this out!" Tony felt like his brain was overloaded too. "So, assuming for the moment that what he's saying is true, and not a lie, he's from another world, or rather, another universe, and he's not an original human?"

[Yes, sir. However, considering that his life trajectory is very complete, my deduction is that it might be something like soul possession.] JARVIS replied.

"Soul possession, that makes sense!" Tony exclaimed. "No wonder the information says he's had a drastic change in personality, like he's a completely different person now. But can we analyze his words and actions to get a sense of what his original world was like?"

[From his words and actions during this time, he seems to have been human before he transmigrated.] JARVIS analyzed.
