The Water Splash jump is often regarded as the most useless move. It has no attack power and doesn't contribute to any Contest Condition bonuses—essentially, a completely ineffective skill.

However, in this moment, Magikarp's eyes grew dull, its eyelids drooped, and its gaze froze. Its momentum suddenly shifted, and just as it was about to be attacked, it flicked its tail, launching itself out of the water.

Water splashed as Magikarp's body soared into the air. With each tail swing, the surrounding water scattered, and Magikarp rose higher.

For some reason, the moment Magikarp leaped from the water was strikingly beautiful. As it descended, it seemed as though a massive arch had formed, and Magikarp's eyes were filled with determination as it soared over the imaginary dragon gate.

Suddenly, a Bubble Beam burst forth, passing through the descending Magikarp and striking the water below with astonishing force. The impact caused a loud explosion, sending water spraying high into the air.

At the same time, the force of the explosion propelled Magikarp even higher.

"What?!" Lily exclaimed, her face showing surprise as her attack was evaded.

"Splashing to dodge the attack? This kid really knows what he's doing!" Sakura and Violet, watching from the shore, were equally astonished.

To them, Splash seemed like a useless move.

When Ash arrived in this world, he quickly learned that in the games, Splash really is pointless.

But here, he discovered that Magikarp often uses this move to jump out of the water. It may seem useless, but in reality, the constant use of this action over time has strengthened Magikarp's body, building explosive power in preparation for evolution.

Ash also noticed that the moment Magikarp splashes out of the water, it moves incredibly fast. Combined with recent weight training, Magikarp's body had grown stronger, and its reaction time had improved.

With increased speed, the impact force naturally follows, and Magikarp's power has now become quite formidable.

"So what if you dodged it? You can't avoid it in the air! Horsea, use Water Gun!" Lily quickly adjusted her strategy.

Horsea aimed at the airborne Magikarp, its barrel-shaped mouth acting like a scope, and unleashed a powerful blue water stream.

"Avoid it, use Tackle!" Ash commanded, his expression calm.

"Impossible, there's no way it can dodge in the air... Ah!!"

Just as Lily was about to finish her sentence, Magikarp began flicking its tail in the air. Each swing was strong and precise, allowing it to shift its position as if it had wings.

As the Water Gun approached, Magikarp dodged with a swift movement. Its eyes grew more focused as it plunged from the air.

With the force of its fall, Magikarp seemed to transform into a torpedo, crashing down with immense power.

Boom!!!

Lily barely had time to react, and Horsea couldn't dodge in time. Magikarp struck directly from above.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The water surface erupted with a loud crash as Magikarp's powerful Tackle hit, sending water splashing several meters high. Magikarp collided with Horsea, driving it underwater with such force that it continued to propel Horsea deeper even after the initial impact. Magikarp's tail swung frantically, keeping its grip tight on Horsea.

Under the impact of Magikarp's fall and the buoyancy of the water, Horsea was tightly pinned to the top of Magikarp's head, unable to escape.

Magikarp slammed directly into the bottom of the pool, creating a small crater in the ground. Horsea was embedded in the hole, with Magikarp still holding it down.

Magikarp's body was incredibly solid, with tough scales and a body structure that was nearly all bone. Taking a hit from Magikarp was akin to being struck by a Rock.

"Horsea!" Lily cried out in concern.

But Ash wasn't about to give her a chance to recover. This wasn't a turn-based game; in the real world, you had to seize the opportunity to secure victory.

"Magikarp, use Struggle!"

As soon as Ash gave the command, a determined glint appeared in Magikarp's eyes. It began thrashing its body wildly underwater.

The water churned as Magikarp's seemingly disorganized movements resembled a drunken brawl, but its tail and head continuously pummeled the black Horsea, which remained embedded in the ground.

Struggle was one of the few offensive moves Magikarp could use besides Tackle. In fact, it's a skill any Pokémon can use when all other options are unavailable.

Veteran players know that under normal circumstances, any Pokémon will have at least one move, no matter how low-level they are. But if someone used cheats to delete all their moves, during battle, the Pokémon would default to using Struggle.

It's considered a last-ditch effort for Pokémon. The power of Struggle depends on the user's physical strength—the higher the strength, the greater the damage.

However, this desperate move also inflicts damage on the user, similar to moves like Double-Edge or Flare Blitz.

But for Magikarp, whose body and nerves were already quite sluggish, the pain was barely noticeable, making Struggle an ideal choice.

The water continued to ripple with Magikarp's movements, and after a while, it gradually calmed. An olive-colored belly slowly surfaced.

It was Lily's Horsea, floating belly-up with its cylindrical mouth still sputtering water. Its eyes had turned into spirals—it had fainted. Meanwhile, Magikarp also surfaced, its mouth wriggling as it blew bubbles.

The sharpness in Magikarp's eyes had returned, but it was clear that Horsea had lost the ability to fight.

"Damn it! I actually lost to a Magikarp," Lily muttered in frustration, clearly feeling embarrassed.

"Can we start the next match?" Ash asked calmly, ignoring Lily's reaction as he addressed the two people on the shore.
