Chapter 1: Party

(Erick pov)

The cool night air pushed the curtains aside, blowing through Erik's small homey room. The brisk air reached where he sat on his computer, brushing against his short brown hair. His green eyes glowed, his reflection bouncing off his bright laptop screen, as shadow danced with his every movement in the dimly lit room.

The cool air sent a chill down his spine. He reached to his side to grab one of his favorite sweaters, pulling it over his head. The oversized piece of clothing made him feel warm and comfortable, he lifted his legs sitting cross-legged, burying his hands between his black sweatpants. He sighed in comfort.

His thoughts drifted into his own world, only making out bits and pieces of the conversation his friends were having on voice call. He could just barely hear them talking about their future plans for when they all moved in together. He himself was also really excited about this, his 18th birthday only a few short hours away. They had been talking about this for a few years now.

Grant being the dad of the group that he was, was always planning out the small details for everyone, how they would split their expenses, who could cook and clean, how they would decorate the house, and how he sure as hell wasn't going to be cleaning up after Indigo!

Indigo argued with him about how she would clean up after herself, knowing full well that she had zero intent of keeping the promise. She knew she was naturally messy and that was okay, that didn't bother her, it sounded like Grant's problem to deal with. She loved pushing his buttons, it brought a sense of comfort to her to piss off the gay man they all loved, no matter how much he sometimes frustrated them.

But no matter how excited Erik was for all this, his mind was elsewhere, once again seeing that familiar handsome man. He could just barely hear them talking about their future plans for when they all moved in together. He himself was also really excited about this, his 18th birthday only a few short hours away. They had been talking about this for a few years now.

His mind was elsewhere, once again seeing that familiar handsome man he seemed to be dreaming of more and more.

One of his friends spoke, trying to get Erick's attention, "Erick! Earth to Erick!" Erick snaps out of his thoughts and comes back to planet Earth. "Yes, what is it?" he replied. Erick is a well-known daydreamer of the group, always talking about the daydreams they have about the future and his dreams about having a boyfriend. Erick did have a few partners, but they never worked out, either because of long-distance or because it was one-sided.

He talks to his friends about his daydream not too long ago, about meeting a handsome, tall Yandere and how great it would be to meet one. They always make fun of him for liking Yandere's and always reading about them. His friends always take every opportunity to playfully make fun of his type. Erick never cares about his friends making fun of him, he knows that most people's ideal type is not someone who is clingy and possessive, and who was a bit crazy, but also someone who would kill for them. Erick knew he was a bit mentally not well he always joked about it, but he never cared much for what other people thought about his "ideal type" he just liked what he liked.

The daydream he had about his Yandere lover kept playing in his head as he talked about it. Erick speaks to his friends, "You know... I wish he were real. I would love to meet him. He would be just like I dreamt of, with nice black hair that's short yet kinda long. His bangs blocked his brown eyes. His nice, tall, slender yet muscular body..." Erick trails off, unaware of how much he is talking about his dream yet again. "Erick! You're doing it again! You keep talking about that Yandere. It's Your 18th birthday tomorrow! We just wanted to know if you are down to have your first drink with us tomorrow at 9 pm?" Grant asked, annoyance evident within his tone.

Erick replies," Yeah, I'll be down, sorry about going off again. I just wish that he was real." A wish that Erick should have really thought about before saying out loud. Erick soon falls asleep, an hour after being on call with Grant and Indigo for over 3 hours. Erick has typically lost track of time, talking with them and daydreaming.

The sound of a phone alarm was heard. Erick woke to his alarm. Well, one of the few alarms that he set because he would always set at least three alarms to help him wake up, but always turned off the first two. As Erick wakes up and yawns, he stretches, moving to sit up on his bed.

He checks his phone, seeing it is 10 in the morning. He yawns one last time before getting up to shower and prepare for the day. (shower playlist) He listens to his music as he showers he hops out of the shower after finishing he does his skincare routine.

He washes his face and brushes his teeth, all while still listening to his music. Erick dances with his towel around his waist as he's still getting ready for the day. His dancing is not the best, but he keeps shaking his ass. His towel almost slips off of his body but he grabs the towel before it falls. He goes to his room and picks out an outfit to wear just for the time being to run some errands, like getting his coffee and picking up a few things from the store. He knew that his family need some juice and eggs.

Erick puts on a nice dark green sweater, a size bigger than him. The oversized piece of clothing brought him a sense of comfort and security. He wore light Indigo jeans that wear baggy on him. Only kept up by a light brown belt with a gold clip. Erick put his plain white socks on before leaving his room, he walked to his door before asking his family if they needed anything. "Does anyone need me to pick up anything for them?"

Raising his voice loud enough for them to hear without yelling. "No, I am good." he heard from his brother Charlie's room. Who was normally in his room all the time playing games with his friends if he wasn't out working. Erick heard small yet heavy footsteps coming from the kitchen. It was his sister Hazel. Hazel came running to Erick while talking. "Can you get me some candy please!" Hazel was only 14 but she loved her sweets like her older brother Erick.

Erick smiles and speaks to Hazel. "Yes, I will get you some candy. Just don't eat it all at once." Erick sides his foot in his shoes that were worn down from wearing them often. He never cared to get new ones because he liked wearing the shoes he had even if they were old.

Erick walks out of his house. The warm yet slightly cool wind hit his face as he left his house. He walks to a coffee shop to get his normal ice coffee. As he walks Erick's mind drifts off thinking about how fun tonight will be and he can't believe that he is 18 now. Erick starts to think about the man in his daydream. He doesn't have a name for him yet but he still wishes he was real even if it was just for a little bit.

Erick starts to think about him more. His hair, his eyes everything. How tall his Yandere would be. Erick is 5'8 and the Yandere is 6'. Erick blushed at the thought if the man standing in front of him. 6 foot tall, Yandere man with beautiful brown eyes that would almost look black, nice wavy short black hair that would be so soft just to run your hand through it and play with all day. His big warm smile he would have with his perfect teeth.

His soft tan skin, so effect less for the yandere to get not worrying about it. Erick wished he was real once again, always feeling lonely was not fun for him. He had his friends and would talk to them every day on call or text but he wanted love. Not just normal love. He wanted a Yandere to love him. Erick wanted to know how great it would feel if that happened.

As Erick is near the coffee shop, only five minutes away. He starts to feel like someone is watching him..only him... he looks around only seeing a few people walking on the sidewalk paying no attention to him and cars driving by on their own journey. Erick looks around one more time but laughs a little to himself at how stupid he probably looks, what was he thinking? The only people that are around are a tall man wearing a black hoodie on his phone minding his business and a small family. There is no one there who is looking at him in this moment.

Erick walks into the coffee shop. He waited in line, it was a short line with only 2 people in front of him. Erick hears the baristas call out people's names for their drinks." A drink for Ian!" "Drink for Carl!" Erick still thinking about his daydream and he starts thinking about the names he hears and likes the name Ian and plays with the thought of using that name for his Yandere.

"Hey, sir, are you ready to order?" the cashier asked him.

"Oh, sorry. Can I get one large iced coffee, please?" Erick smiled, feeling a twinge of embarrassment and trying to hide it.

"Okay, one large iced coffee coming up. What's the name for your drink?"

"Just put Erick," he replied, smiling at the cashier.

As Erick waited, he looked around the coffee shop. People sipped their drinks, worked on their phones and laptops, and chatted in hushed tones. The soft hum of conversations and the clinking of cups filled the air. He glanced at his phone to see if any of his friends were active. Only Grant was online.

~Erick texts Grant~

Erick: Hey bestie

Grant: "Sup Erick, you excited for tonight?"

Erick: "Yeah, I am! Tonight is going to be wild!"

Erick smiled, thinking about what the night held-getting black-out drunk, maybe. A voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Coffee for Erick!" the barista called out.

Erick grabbed his drink. "Thank you!" he said, taking the large, icy beverage.

As he stepped out of the coffee shop, the cool breeze hit his face. He walked down the bustling street, lost in a daydream. The city around him seemed to blur as his mind drifted. Suddenly, he noticed a man across the street. The figure was tall, dressed in a long, dark coat, and seemed to be staring directly at him. Erick blinked, shaking his head. When he looked again, the man was gone.

Erick tried to shrug it off, but a chill ran down his spine. He continued walking, his mind unable to shake the image of the man.

The streetlights cast long, eerie shadows as dusk settled in. Erick's footsteps echoed in the quiet, growing heavier with each step. He couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.

He turned a corner and stopped dead in his tracks. The man in the dark coat stood at the end of the street, partially obscured by the shadows. Erick's heart pounded. He rubbed his eyes and looked again. The man had vanished once more.

Erick quickened his pace, trying to outrun the creeping dread. He glanced over his shoulder, expecting to see the man at every turn. His phone buzzed, startling him. It was a message from Grant.

Grant: "Don't forget to bring the stuff tonight."

Erick's hands shook as he typed a response.

Erick: "Yeah, got it. See you soon."

As he approached his apartment building, the feeling of being watched intensified. He fumbled with his keys, glancing nervously around. The street was empty, but the shadows seemed to move and twist, playing tricks on his mind.

He finally made it inside and locked the door behind him. Erick leaned against the door, trying to catch his breath.

Erick sat on the couch, sipping his iced coffee, his mind drifting into a daydream. He often found himself lost in thoughts of Ian, a mysterious figure who haunted his dreams. Ian was tall, with dark, messy hair and eyes that seemed to pierce right through Erick's soul. He was always there, lurking in the background, watching over Erick with an intense, almost obsessive gaze.

In his daydreams, Ian was a yandere, fiercely protective and unhealthily clingy. Erick couldn't decide whether to be scared or flattered by the attention. The thought of Ian being so obsessed with him made Erick's heart race, but it also filled him with a creeping paranoia.

Erick shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He thought about how he forgot something as he was too worried about his unrealistic yandere after him. When he looked around, Ian was gone. The room was empty, but the feeling of being watched lingered. Erick tried to shrug it off and went back to his coffee, but his mind kept playing tricks on him. Every shadow seemed to move, and every creak of the house sounded like footsteps.

(Ian's pov)

The scene changed. Ian stood in the shadows, his eyes fixed on Erick. He couldn't help but smile as he watched Erick sip his coffee, oblivious to his presence. Ian's heart swelled with affection and possessiveness. He had to protect Erick, no matter what. The thought of anyone else getting close to him was unbearable.

Ian knew his obsession wasn't healthy, but he couldn't stop himself. He loved Erick too much. Every moment he spent watching over him only intensified his feelings. He wanted to be with Erick always, to keep him safe and happy.

As Erick finished his coffee and got up from the couch, he felt a chill run down his spine. Ian's eyes followed him from the shadows, unseen yet ever-present. Ian knew he couldn't reveal himself just yet. He needed to wait for the right moment, the perfect time to make Erick understand just how much he meant to him.

Erick moved through the house, the sensation of being watched growing stronger with each step. He tried to brush it off, telling himself it was just his imagination. But deep down, he knew that Ian was always there, watching, waiting, and loving him with a devotion so intense it felt otherworldly.

(Erick Pov)

As Erick's friend arrived at the apartment with alcohol and snacks, ready to party the night away, the atmosphere grew even more unsettling. The shadows seemed to thicken, and the air grew colder. Yet, amid the eerie tension, there was a sense of protection, a presence that felt both sinister and tender.

The night wore on, and Erick found himself occasionally glancing at the darkest corners of the room, feeling a mix of fear of the possibility of Ian being real and the comfort of being with his friends. He couldn't shake the feeling that Ian was real, but he knew he couldn't be. As his friends laughed and the music played, Erick felt strange he didn't want his friends to know how he felt so he pushed through it and took a nice shot of his cold vodka, which burned the back throat on its way down, to try to ignore how he felt.

"Shit, I forgot the food I was going to get!" Erick said, a bit stressed, running his hand through his hair in frustration.

Indigo chuckles, "When did you, Erick, ever forget something? That's a first!"

Erick turns to face Indigo. "Hey! Sometimes it happens to the best of us!" He tried to smile, but the worry was still evident in his eyes.
