I want in

Xanthe's eyes locked onto Thane's phone, her gaze flicking to the screen as he received the text. Her eyes widened slightly as she read the message, a sly smile spreading across her face.

Thane's eyes met hers, a hint of surprise and curiosity in his gaze. He seemed to wonder how she had seen the text, but Xanthe just leaned back in her chair, her smile growing wider.

The movie continued to play, but xanthe's attention was now fully focused on Thane and the mysterious text. She seemed to be thinking several steps ahead, her mind racing with possibilities.

As the class ended and the students filed out, Xanthe lingered behind, her eyes never leaving Thane's face. "Looks like you're a busy man, Thane," she said, her voice low and husky. "What's at NH?"

Thane's expression turned guarded, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Just a business deal," he said curtly. "Nothing that concerns you."

Xanthe chuckled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I think it does," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "You see, I have a feeling that we're going to be seeing a lot more of each other, Thane."

And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving Thane looking at her with a mixture of intrigue and wariness.

Thane's eyes widened in surprise as Xanthe walked in, her eyes scanning the room with a knowing glint. "So you hide your weapons at NovaHaven, huh?" she said, her voice dripping with amusement.

Lyra lingered in the shadows, watching the scene unfold. Thane's face was a mix of confusion and alarm, his eyes darting between Xanthe and the weapons on display.

"Who are you?" Thane demanded, his hand instinctively reaching for his gun. "How did you know about this place?"

Xanthe chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Let's just say I have my ways," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "And I'm not the only one who's interested in your little arsenal."

Thane's eyes narrowed, his grip on his gun tightening. "What do you want, xanthe?" he growled.

Xanthe smiled, her eyes glinting with excitement. "Oh, I think you know," she said, her voice dripping with anticipation. "I want in on your operation, Thane. And I'm not leaving until I get what I want so let's head down to your base even though I can find it myself."

The sound of the gunshot echoed through the room, but Xanthe didn't flinch. She knew Thane's bullet would never touch her, and she was right. The bullet hit the wall behind her, leaving a small hole in the concrete.

Thane's eyes narrowed, his face twisted in a snarl. "You think you're tough, huh?" he sneered. "You think you can just waltz in here and demand a piece of my operation?"

Xanthe smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "This little trick doesn't scare me, Thane," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "I know you're not going to hurt me. You will need me , you just dont know it yet."

Thane's face turned red with anger, but xanthe just chuckled. "You're so predictable," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "You think you're the first person to try and intimidate me? Please. I've seen it all before."

Lyra watched from the shadows, her eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before them. She knew xanthe was playing a dangerous game, but they also knew she was a force to be reckoned with..

As they stepped out of the building, Xanthe's eyes scanned the surrounding area, her senses on high alert. She knew Thane's men could be lurking anywhere, waiting for their chance to strike.

"Well, Thane," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "It seems we're at a stalemate. But I'm not leaving until I get what I want."

Thane snarled, his eyes flashing with anger. "You're not going anywhere," he spat. "My men will make sure of that."

Xanthe smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "We'll see about that," she said, her hand slipping into her pocket.

Xanthe's hand emerged from her pocket, a small device glinting in her fingers. She pressed a button, and a high-pitched hum filled the air. Thane's men stumbled back, clutching their ears in pain.

Xanthe smiled, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Advanced technology," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "You should invest in some better gear, Thane."

With a flick of her wrist, she sent the device flying towards Thane's men. It exploded in a shower of sparks, leaving them stunned and disoriented.

Xanthe turned to Thane, her eyes blazing with intensity. "Now, let's talk business," she said, her voice low and menacing.

Xanthe's eyes locked onto Thane's, her gaze piercing and intense. "I want a share of your operation," she said, her voice firm and commanding. "I want access to your resources, your network, and your profits."

Thane's eyes narrowed, his face twisted in a snarl. "You're crazy," he spat. "I'll never let you in on our operation."

Xanthe smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, but you will," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "You see, I have something you want. Something you need."

She paused, her eyes taunting him. "I have the location of the legendary 'Eclipse' weapon. And I'm willing to share it with you... for a price."

Thane's eyes widened, his face pale with desire. "You're bluffing," he whispered.

Xanthe chuckled, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Try me," she said, her voice dripping with challenge.
