He buttoned his shirt and zipped up his pants, adjusting his tie, folding his collar and rolling the shirt sleeves upwardd showing his hairy wrists and on his left wrist was his black watch. Taking money from his pocket,he placed it on the side table beside the bed.
The girl sat upright watching him in silent, her eyes glistening with unshed tears that'll probably never fall.
"Don't speak to me in school,we don't know each other, got it?" His voice was cold and sharp piercing the girl's soul.
She meekly nodded "Take the money,I'll call you when you're needed" He didn't need to tell her not to tell anyone because she already knew that and if anyone should find out,he could and will destroy her.
A risk she'd never take. He ruffled his hair with his fingers and left the room slamming it,not giving a second glance at the girl trying to stop herself from crying.
He checked the time,it was fifty minutes past eight. He had only 10 minutes to get to school and not be late for the first class in this semester. His phone was on DND and he doesn't plan on turning it off as he considers the amount of missed calls he'd see.
His chauffeur was waiting for him just outside the hotel,"Good morning Sir,Your parents..." The car door slammed cutting whatever words the man wanted to say.
The man wasted no time in getting in and driving to school even though he was in a suppressed atmosphere.
"Sir,your parents are deeply worried about you...They called you yesterday and..."
"I didn't ask you,did I?" He cut off the man yet again. The chauffeur didn't speak again through out the drive to school.
The drive to the school took about six minutes, knowing he'd probably missed the first class,he sighed in regret.
He had chosen the hotel that was closer to the school but he still didn't make it in time.
He alighted from te car and slowly made his way inside, the hall quietened immediately he was seen by the students.
His every steps were under the gazes of the students,as if waiting for him to do something while some simply waited for him to pass their direction so they could breathe properly again.
The authority he held was something the teachers tried to have, even teachers that have stayed longer than him in this school. He didn't work for it nor earn it,it was just simply given to him and he seems to be enjoying it quite well.
Who wouldn't when it meant you get to rule the school and get to order people around, people fear you and hate to get on your bad side, they do everything they can to be noticed by you and make you happy.
That was the power everybody desired but it was owned by few.
Ember made her way to him, slipping her arm in his. She was his, will they, won't they girlfriend. She was the only one that got that close to him,she goes to his house and she knows his parents, she was always with him whenever she's not having classes, they act all lovey-dovey when they're in the cafeteria but yet he had not clarify if they were dating or not and nobody dared to ask him that question and Ember had gone out of her way to threaten girls to stay away from him and had even claimed to have slept with him.
He,of course, hasn't denied nor confirmed this accusations and it's not like he hadn't heard about this rumours that Ember had spread about, he either simply decided not to say anything or it's true.
"Good morning Pickles, how was your night?" Pickles was the nickname she had given him when they were little, there was a time he decided not to eat anything but pickles because of his parents,he wanted something and they refused to give him,so he took their cards and bought it,the thing they refused to buy for him,Pickles.
His parents were furious and made sure he ate the Pickles until they were finished.
Ember was there when it happened, she helped him eat the Pickles and had been calling him that ever since.
"Fine" His answer was succint,Ember was used to it and used to be the one who indulge him in conversations even though he isn't in the mood.
"Where were you last night?Mother called and she was worried,it also made me worried" Hearing her soft voice broke him. Everybody knows he has a soft spot for Ember especially if she sounds heart broken.
His gaze softened a bit but he still didn't look her,his voice also lowered a bit "I was out for something important".
Ember smiled hearing how soft he sounded "Okay but don't do something like that again, at least tell me or mother before leaving" He nodded at her. "My class is in the other direction, see you at lunch" She kissed him on the cheek and left blushing.
He walked to the stairs and saw a girl looking at something in her hands, she was imbalanced and he knew that she was going to have a bad fall. He thought to inform her or better yet hold her,his hand were going up but she had already fell before he could reach her.
The gasps were loud as she landed harshly on the ground, bones were heard. She stared at him in shock.
He just simply tucked his hands in his pockets and walked downstairs not sparing her another look. He had seen those stares before, like he was a monster,a fiend and he won't stand there and be under those gaze.
Of course he was late to the class, the teacher didn't say anything,it was the freedom that came with the power he had.
He get to do what he wants, with little to no repercussions because just like the students, the teachers adore him.
Unlike those dumb students in the movies that rules the school,he was smart,a straight A student and the teacher's favourite. He was subtle with the way he acts around them which earned him admiration from the whole school.
Three classes over, the bell rang and everybody proceeded to head towards the cafeteria. He chosed a table right in the center of the cafeteria, it was his table and everybody knows that and they dare not go seat there but today there was somebody there. A girl and she was eating a sandwich pretending to be oblivious of the stares of the students, even the lunch lady was shocked.
