"Why can I see cursed spirits?" Rin asked herself, wandering the village and enduring the villagers' suspicious, fearful glances. She had always been a rational thinker, and now she needed to understand the reasons behind her strange new abilities.

There could only be three explanations:

1-Rin had the potential to be a 'window': Someone who could see cursed spirits and had the ability to control basic cursed energy, albeit limited to the power of a grade 4 sorcerer.

2-The previous owner of this body experienced a life and death event: This could have unlocked the ability to see and manipulate cursed energy.

3-The body she now inhabited was born with a cursed technique: An innate ability that would allow her to wield greater power.

Rin hoped fervently for the third reason. Being born with a cursed technique was like hitting the jackpot. It would mean she had the potential to become strong enough to survive and perhaps even thrive in this cruel world.

she continued to explore the village, her grey eyes flicked around, taking in every detail and noting the occasional flicker of a cursed spirit in the corners of her vision. The villagers' reactions were a mix of fear and hostility, which reminded her that she couldn't stay here for long. She needed to find out more about her abilities and this new world she found herself in.

Rin slipped into a narrow alleyway, where she could practice using her cursed energy without drawing attention. She focused, trying to summon and control her energy, but her attempts were met with failure. Frustration bubbled up inside her.

"I need to learn how to manipulate cursed energy. Ugh, this is going to be a pain in the ass," Rin sighed, realizing that the comforts of her previous life—movies, tutorials, and even dummies for practice—were all absent in this era. She was on her own in this new world.

"Everything by myself, huh?" Rin thought to herself, irritated by the daunting task ahead. But there was no other choice. She had to adapt and learn quickly if she wanted to survive.

Taking a deep breath, Rin tried to focus her mind. She closed her eyes and recalled scenes from "Jujutsu Kaisen," the only reference she had for manipulating cursed energy. She remembered the intense concentration and control the characters exhibited. If they could do it, so could she. But now was not the time to train; she needed to find food, water, and a place to sleep.

As she wandered through the village, her attention was drawn to a slave shop. The sight was disturbing, with men, women, and children being sold like commodities. Rin's sharp eyes quickly noted the price differences, especially the relatively low prices for children.

In her previous life, Rin had been adept at pickpocketing, finding it amusing to take from others rather than spending her own money. The skill had come naturally to her, and she had enjoyed the thrill of it. Now, in this era, she realized that her old habits could be a valuable asset.

Slipping into the crowd, Rin moved with practiced ease. She scanned the bustling marketplace for potential targets, her eyes zeroing in on those who seemed wealthier and less attentive. She spotted a portly merchant, distracted by haggling over the price of spices. His coin pouch dangled invitingly from his belt.

Rin approached cautiously, blending into the throng of people. With nimble fingers, she deftly loosened the pouch and slipped it into her own small hands. The merchant remained oblivious, too engrossed in his bargaining to notice the loss.

Feeling the weight of the coins in her hand, Rin allowed herself a small, satisfied smile. Stealing in this era was easy, almost too easy compared to the modern world she had come from. She moved quickly, repeating the process with a few more unsuspecting targets, each time growing bolder and more confident.

By the time she was done, Rin had amassed a decent amount of money. She needed to find a place to sleep and some food and water. With her newfound funds, she could afford to stay at an inn, at least for a night or two, and buy enough supplies to last her for a while.

"But I'm too young to be accepted, right?" Rin thought to herself. She decided that if they refused to let her stay, she would simply sneak in. She was shameless and resourceful, and she knew how to make things work in her favor.

She approached a modest-looking inn at the edge of the village, trying to appear as confident and unassuming as possible. The innkeeper, a stout woman with sharp eyes, looked down at Rin skeptically.

"And where are your parents, young one?" the innkeeper asked, suspicion evident in her tone.

Rin quickly concocted a story. "They're traveling merchants, ma'am. They had to leave on urgent business and told me to stay here for the night. They left me some money to pay for a room and food."

Rin adjusted the strange hat that concealed her hair and eyes, hoping it wouldn't draw too much attention.

The innkeeper eyed her for a moment, clearly debating whether to believe her. Rin held her breath, ready to argue or, if necessary, find a way to sneak in later.

"Alright," the innkeeper finally said, her voice softening slightly. "I suppose it's not right to leave a child out on the streets. But you stay in your room and keep quiet, understood?"

Rin nodded eagerly, handing over a few coins. "Thank you, ma'am. I really appreciate it (bitch)."

Once inside her small room, Rin allowed herself a sigh of relief. The bed was simple but clean, and the meal provided was warm and filling. She ate quickly, savoring every bite, and then lay back on the bed, thinking about her next steps.

She needed to find a way to train her cursed energy and learn more about this world. Maybe there were people here who could help her, mentors or sorcerers like in the stories she had seen and read. For now, she had secured a temporary haven and enough supplies to get by.

As Rin drifted off to sleep, she vowed to keep pushing forward. She had been given a second chance in a strange, dangerous world, and she intended to make the most of it.
