CHAPTER 12: Mito's Unexpected Insight

Some of Chiba's nonsense came true when it fell into Mito's ears.

It's not that Mito is easy to deceive, but Chiba's body proved all of that.

Lies can deceive people, but the body cannot. At least in Mito's perception, Chiba's physique is infinitely close to that of the Uzumaki clan or the Senju clan.

If there was no Uzumaki or Senju lineage in his ancestors, Chiba's physical build would never make Mito feel so friendly towards him.

The previous check of the family registry only served to confirm whether the blood flowing in Chiba's body belonged to the Senju clan or the Uzumaki clan.

After all, the Senju clan and the Uzumaki clan are both heirs to the "sage body" lineage. Although their physiques are different, they are similar, so it is difficult to tell them apart.

As for the issue of leaking the Uzumaki clan's bloodline, Mito will not think about it in detail, much less delve into the matter.

Because during the Warring States Period, various clans migrated frequently, and not only the Uzumaki clan but also the Senju clan would suffer blood leakage during migration.

There are many blood outlets, but very few outlets that can reach Chiba's blood concentration level.

It was precisely because of this incident that Mito looked at Chiba differently.

If before it was just pure curiosity, he wanted to meet Tsunade's new playmate of the opposite sex. So now Mito treats Chiba like half a relative.

Furthermore, Mito also had other ideas.

After chatting a bit about internal matters, Mito picked up a messy ball of yarn from the bedside and looked at Chiba with a smile.

"Chiba, Grandma's vision isn't very good. I can't untie this ball of yarn. Can you help me?"

"It's okay, grandma."

"Grandma, how long has this ball of yarn been here and you still haven't untied it?"

Chiba raised his head and looked at Tsunade.

But before Tsunade could say anything else, Mito took over, "That means you're impatient. If you were patient, would Grandma have to wait so long?" After saying that, his gaze moved away from Tsunade's unconvinced face and looked back at Chiba, who was lowering his head and patiently undoing the knot on the thread.

"Chiba, please explain carefully, be patient, and don't be afraid of trouble." Uzumaki Mito instructed with a tip.

  "I know, Grandma."

Chiba replied without looking up. He knew in his heart that this was an opportunity, and he was more serious and meticulous at the moment.

Mito looked at Chiba, a smile on her wrinkled face. She pulled Tsunade aside and the two began talking.

Grandfather and granddaughter's laughter had some impact on Chiba, but this source of interference was not a problem for Chiba. He didn't have much else, but he was very patient.

After playing it for almost two hours, Chiba's neck hurt. Then he untied the knitting balls one by one and placed them neatly together.

Mito also stopped talking to Tsunade at this point and looked at Chiba with a smile in her eyes: "Chiba is a patient child, much better than Tsunade."

  Mito ignored Tsunade.

"I know Tsunade's temper better than anyone else. She's not going to change her temper without encountering some setbacks."

Tsunade wasn't a bit convinced, "Grandma"

"Look, that's the temper." Mito joked, making Tsunade stamp her feet and fall into Mito's arms.

Seeing the harmonious scene between her grandmother and granddaughter, Chiba also smiled and occasionally glanced at Tsunade.

After a short interlude, Mito did not put away the ball of yarn that Chiba had untied, but stood up and led Tsunade and Chiba outside.

"It's so late, you two should be hungry. Chiba-kun, there's no need to go back. How about eating here tonight. It's not too late to leave after eating."

Chiba nodded obediently and agreed.

"Okay, okay, since Chiba-kun is so obedient, you should come more often to spend time with grandma and talk to grandma when you have time."

"Well, I know, Grandma, so don't bother me."

Chiba was surprisingly serious, completely different from the way she usually behaved when she got along with Tsunade, which made Tsunade click her tongue in surprise.

Arriving next to Chiba, Tsunade circled around him, "Chiba, aren't you usually like this?"

"I've always been like this, okay?

  "Usually you're...um...but..."

Thinking about it for a long time, Tsunade couldn't find words to describe it. She remembered that her little face was full of anger, and she looked at Chiba.

Mito watches happily, her eyes full of wisdom.

Having followed Hashirama for half his life, Mito was undoubtedly an elite individual. In fact, she could see Chiba's true nature at a glance.

It's slippery, but not bad. He is smart and has small thoughts, but he uses them in the right place. It doesn't hurt to cross the line occasionally.

The most important thing is that Mito can see that Chiba really cares about this girl, Tsunade.

"Tsunade, Chiba-kun is a guest today, please pay attention."

Mito spoke, calling Tsunade back from Chiba, and took the two to the place to eat again.

Without Mito's orders, the mansion's Senju clan members responsible for taking care of Mito's daily life prepared a meal.

Having an extra pair of chopsticks is a small thing and there's no need to make things difficult for Chiba.

The guests and hosts really enjoyed the meal. Chiba chatted with Mito for a bit before getting up and planning to say goodbye and leave.

"Grandma, it's really late. I have to go to school tomorrow, so… I have to go back first."

Chiba stood up and bowed, but Mito didn't want to let Chiba leave.

The main reason is that he speaks very well. Mito was very happy to be persuaded by him and can't seem to talk enough.

"It's so late. It's not safe for you to go back alone. You should stay here tonight."

"Isn't Chiba-ku happy?" Mito said with a stern face: "It seems that I am a very worried old woman. Since I don't want to..."

"Grandma I was joking. be willing? I was very happy, so I... I was a little flattered."

Chiba scratched his head, "I like talking to grandma the most, especially the stories you tell me, I never get tired of hearing them."

Chiba sat down again and started talking. "Grandma, please continue telling your latest story, I haven't heard enough."

"Okay, okay, I'll tell you, I'll tell you."

Chiba is a good listener and a good praiser. He doesn't say much, but every sentence can speak to Mito's heart.

  This is amazing...

Mito continued babbling and didn't want to stop. Tsunade was so sleepy that she dozed off.

"Grandma…" Tsunade couldn't take it anymore, "Let's go to bed. You and Chiba can talk tomorrow, and I'll bring him over tomorrow."

Mito smacked her lips with some unfinished thoughts.

"Tsunade take Chiba to rest."

"Oh." Tsunade nodded sleepily and suddenly realized when she slipped out of Mito's arms.

"Should I take him?" Tsunade pointed at Chiba, then pointed at herself, "Take him to my room?"

"What are you thinking, silly girl!"

"Isn't there a spare room? Take Chiba there. From now on, that room will be his."

Tsunade suddenly felt relieved, while there was sadness in Chiba's eyes, but he was also quite happy.

Unexpectedly, he and Tsunade became close so quickly.
