Chapter 34 The Sewers.

With Lili sitting upon Accalias back they had tried to stay out of sight and stick to the roof tops, but even in the darkness of night it was hard to miss the sight of the two. Needless to say they managed to garner a lot of unwanted attention which sent the whole city into an uproar.

All around the city streets there were now large groups of peasant mobs on the move. They wielded makeshift weapons of all kinds as they hunted for them.

While this was bad on its own, it didn't help that the city also had hundreds of well trained and equipped guards on the hunt for them as well.

The whole city had seemingly turned into a huge prison for them. There were guards everywhere they went, in front of the gates, on the walls and on the streets everywhere there were guards hunting for them. It seemed that all the exits out of the city were blocked and there was no escape.

Because of this Accalia had for a brief time turned back to normal. They had attempted to hide themselves amongst the masses, but Accalias hair colour was just too noticeable.

No matter where they went, they were either shot at by arrows or chased by guard dogs. The dogs were the worst of them all as they never ceased their persuit of them, even when they lost sight of them. The dogs just kept on sniffing them out and because of that they now found themselves in the sewers.

While not tidy or nice smelling, the sewers here were definitely spacious. The main sewer line even had a walkway going along next to the stream of sewage. Then there were also hundreds of smaller pipes and tunnels all around which made the whole place look like a maze.

From here on their path seemed simple, all they needed to do was follow the stream of sewage and then they would hopefully make it out of this place, but that was much easier said than done as the guards had already made their way into the sewers.

Wherever Lili and Accalia went there always was another torch light waiting for them. The guards seemed to be all around the main sewer line. Behind most corners Lili could see the fires of the torches and the shadows of the guards moving about.

Most of them were quiet and hard to hear, but some couldn't keep their mouths shut which made evading them easy. Lili could hear the echoes of their voices and the clacking of their metal armours from a distance as the guards moved around.

Luckily it seemed that the dogs at least couldn't follow them down here. Most likely their sensitive noses couldn't handle such a smelly adventure.

Despite this Lili and Accalia were forced to use the smaller tight tunnels to get away from the guards. They had to crawl through hundreds of meters of sewage water that was full of who knows what.

Lili just knew that the smell of it constantly made her stomach turn, she constantly had to fight hard not to puke her guts out. Despite this she kept on going and didn't complain about it as Accalia didn't do so either, so how could she.

Because Lili was the smaller of the two she led the way through the tight tunnels. Like so Accalia could at least pull her out of danger if she ever got stuck somewhere too tight.

For an unknown amount of time they continued to crawl. Sometimes they went up and sometimes down, but a lot of the time it was merely them just going down.

Then the tunnel finally seemed to come to an end and opened up to reveal a wide open underground area. The area was so vast that in the darkness of the tunnels Lili couldn't see it's end or how far down the drop before her went down for.

Behind her she then heard Accalia say.

"What is it Lili? What do you see?"

Hearing this Lili turned to look at Accalia who seemed quite stuffed inside the tunnel. Accalia was in her smaller human form, but even then she couldn't crawl properly on her hands and knees, so even now she was forced to lay on her naked stomach with her tits squished against the tunnel floor.

The sight of her made Lili feel bad. Crawling like that through the tunnels most definitely didn't feel good. She really needed to find some way for them to get out of this place and fast.

With this in mind Lili then said.

"I'm not sure what it is. But this place for sure is massive. As long as we don't die from the fall then I think well be able to stretch our legs pretty soon."

From in between her young developing breasts Lili then took out the last two of her small light stones. The things weren't bright, but with a little boost of her magic she was able to make them glow a bit more.

While she held one in her hand she handed the other one to Accalia and then she turned back to look at the massive area before her.

But even with the light she still couldn't see the whole area. She could see that the wall that their pipe was coming out of had hundreds of similar pipes that were slowly spewing out their sewage water. Down, maybe 20 meters below them Lili could see a long, but not very wide of a pool of sewage water. The water seemed to be travelling along an arching stone path that seemed to be going in a circle around the place.

In the darkness she could see the outline of something massive in the middle of the room. There also seemed to be two stone pathways leading to the circle. One pathway was to Lilis right and one to her left, both were in the dark so that she couldn't see the whole thing.

Now the only thing that was missing was a safe way down there. The walls were smooth and the other pipe holes were too far for her to reach. There might have been some way down there back the way they came. The only problem was that the soldiers might have been behind them in the tunnels. Plus Accalia couldn't turn her body around in this tight space and so she would have had to crawl backwards.

Lili wasn't really a religious person, but nonetheless she did the sign of the cross to boost her courage. Then she turned to Accalia and said.

"I'm sorry mother, but I think I'm going to try something really dangerous now. But don't worry I'm sure that it will, maybe be ok."

Accalia looked concerned as she grabbed a hold of Lilis hand and said.

"Hmm, what do you mean my sweet child? If there is something dangerous out there, then don't worry about it and just let Mother handle it for you."

To this Lili just shook her head and said.

"No just forget about it, ok. It's nothing too dangerous, since I can heal myself. So as long as I don't die instantly, then I should be good."

Lili could feel Accalias grip tightening on her hand, but before it got too tight she pulled her hand away. Then she turned around towards the dark room and went to sit at the edge of the pipe. Her heart started to beat like crazy as she looked down into the darkness, her legs were hanging in the air and then she remembered.

She remembered that, there is no courage without fear. She also remembered the words, this is how legends are made. Well then again maybe it was best if this wasn't how her legend was made. She definitely didn't want to be remembered for falling into sewage water and possibly killing herself in the process.

Nonetheless she managed to push away her doubts and fears as she pushed herself off the edge and yelled.

"I believe in you Jesus!"

From behind her as she fell Lili could hear Accalia scream.

"Nooooooo, my baby! Don't leave me!"

Hearing Accalias scream, Lili couldn't help but look up, only to see the naked woman diving right after her.
