Everyone held their breaths for a while. What just happened?. Bryan placed his hands on his chest, it was pounding like crazy.
"Grace?", David called.
Grace was glaring at the woman still holding the woman, she pulled the trigger but didn't kill her. Her father taught her how to shoot a gun incase enemies. When they are defendless, she could be able to defend herself with a gun.
" I am I still a sweetheart?", She asked.
Amber shook her head instantly, her body was trembling.
"My name is Grace Donald", She fully introduced herself, "Are you taking me away from here?".
Bryan wanted to scream at her, 'You piece of shit', her roared in his head, looking at the pistol she was still holding. The room fell quiet again, Grace knew why she haven't and maybe won't say anything. She looked at the gun in her hands, handing it back to Amber from the back.
"I'm sorry", She said, "I... I didn't know what....", She sighed, Am I going to jail?".
"You.... ".
"No", David cut Bryan off glaring, "You won't. You didn't kill anyone, you were provoked".
Grace sighed as she smiled, "I won't do it again".
Amber broke out from her thought, taking the gun away from her gently returning a smile.
"It's fine", She stood and turned looking at the bullet hole, her hear skipped the beat.
"I didn't..."
"It's not your fault. The CIA should have known better", David voice sounded like a scolding.
"My apologies, Grace. I just wanted to test you".
Grace didn't easily buy her words, but she agreed anyway. At least, she will leave this place.
"We will get going now", The man dressed in suit said, still trembling in fear, "Grace shall we?".
She nodded, at least freedom. She first stepped out of the room with the officials trailing behind. They were still afraid of her. No one said anything, but stared at her back in fear and awe. A nine year old who could shoot it's rare, except she was trained. Thet imagination sent shivers down Bryan spine.
As they exit the headquarters, the other policeman and women stared at Grace, the news about her and the wanted hacker has spread rapidly. Some didn't belive it, some did.
She bided goodbye to David and Bryan as she entered a SUV, finally she escaping this mess. She once called this place home, it looks like it's going to be her parents grave, forever. She sighed, noticing that the have left the headquarters and maybe heading to the airport. She didn't ask.
"You have anything to say?", Amber asked as has been staring at her for a while now, "Nothing bothering you?".
"How did you know my parents?", It wasn't the question she wants to ask now, but somehow she felt it was right, "Who are you to them?".
Amber smiled, "I am a nobody to them. I am just a official in the CIA, your parents have been sneaking around. And it caught our attention, we tried to find them only to realise they are ten times faster than us so we got interested. But they broke many laws".
Grace quietly listened, so her parents weren't running away from the Slayers, but the government too. But why?, why is a question no one can answer now. She sighed and looked out the window, Alaska is a very beautiful place and it has turned her heart dark.
"Did you find anything?".
Amber shook her head understanding her question, there are many secrets in her life. Some so dark if expose....it might be hell for her. Amber didn't want to say much, but she knows her life is in danger, she had received a call concerning Grace to take her away from her. That why she had to volunteer to bring her to Washington with her colleague Samuel, who has been silent. Since they left Alaska police headquarters.
"So Grace.."
"I am going to be adopted, I know".
Amber jaws hit the ground, how does this girl brain works?. She didn't say anything, but shivers ran down her spine, some kids can be too scary sometimes especially in one seating beside her. She's cute but deadly.
"Samuel how long are we get to the airport?".
"In one hour time", He answered.
Grace ears pooped up, she doesn't have a pass port, she looked at Amber with questioning eyes.
"We arebboarding a private jet, Grace".
Grace lips shaped as a oh immediately turning her gaze back to the window.
The trip was faster than she expected. They got to the airport on time, Grave didn't feel comfortable and her stomach rumbled, how can she forget to eat?, she hasn't eaten for two days straight!!!. She felt like she was going to faint, like the thought can to reality, everything around her turned dark.

"So you're tell me she's in the hands of the police?, 163?", A well built man asked standing as he looked at the window in front of him with his hand behind his back.
163 rolled her eyes, she didn't see the reason why the commander was so angry. Besides in the next few hours, 357 plane will land in Washington, why worry?.
"I'm sorry, commander. 357, was already protected by Ronin before I even arrived. Then he died protecting her. All I could is watch", She replied not feeling sorry about the whole incident. What was she supposed to do?, cry?, hell no!!.
"That wasn't the mission", The man voice snapped in her ears, "You better listen to me whenever you are on a mission, 163!!".
His voice was so frightening that her colleague behind almost peed on his pants. 163 turned to face him, her glare as deadly as a scorpion tail. If one could describe it.
"You have failed me".
That word shocked her like lightening, failed him? how?. She thought he said something else and decided to ignore him.
"You are lowered from your rank, 163".
"Why!!", She snapped, just to look after a stupid girl?, what has she done to deserve this, "There is no reason for you to lower my rank!".
The man turn with a dark expression, "You dare shout at me!".
"I dare", She hissed. 163 was known for her bravery and high intelligence in mission even if she was just nine years old!, "I dare with every breath".
Her colleague had the urge to slap his forehead, what is the point making the boss angry now. He was hoping for a escape as the tension in the commander office increased. No one spoke and to him they were not planning to say anything but glare at each other.
'God help me', He prayed in his heart, wanting to be invisible instantly.
"You...".
"I will not accept my rank", 163 spoke proudly not breaking the eye contact, "Never".
Silence followed her word, the two glared none stop.
'What will I do now', The boy thought. About to say something, the commander voice rang.
"Like it or not you are a disgrace to the empire, 163. Leave my sight".
"And if you like it or not I will never accept my rank", She fired back.
The rank is one thing spies like them dream of and 163 is the highest in the entire organisation. Her rank has improved for the last few years in service and only who knows how she always keep it up to her standard. Being of the most feared spies and the best in the game. She was cute but also deadly to those who knows her, others might have a hint.
"That is all I can tell you.... commander", She voice was low and filled with venom as she walk off, leaving the boy behind. The boy only prayer is that no one should annoy her at this moment or else that person will have a free trip to hell.
