Echoes of Water

A young woman named Maya lives in Arid, a city ravaged by drought and controlled by the Oasis Corporation, which hoards water and sells it at exorbitant prices. After her family's farm withers, Maya ventures into the harsh Scorched Dunes in search of a rumored hidden oasis. There, she meets Jeb, a protector of the oasis, who inspires her to fight back.



Back in Arid, Maya joins a growing rebellion against the Corporation. She shares stories of the oasis, and with the help of others like the fiery speaker Fatima and the skilled mechanic Omar, they rally the people and spread dissent. When a young man is unjustly executed for questioning water prices, the city's anger explodes. Maya herself is captured and tortured, but is rescued by the rebels in a daring raid.



News of the raid emboldens the people of Arid. The fight for water and freedom from the Corporation's tyranny has begun.
