During the entire genetic modification process Rika didn't use any anesthesia fearing that it might do some reaction during the process that means Mia was experiencing pain of being cut having her organ removed and modified during entire time entire process was 10 hrs long and Rika was constantly supplying her ki to Mia within her nervous system so that she didn't die from shock
