Chapter 2:
The previous chapter I explained every basic technical word you should know in this journey of being a mage, but the thing is we humans can't do anything magical with just that, well most humans. Our race can't change the property of Magilus with its own accord, but instead we use the powers from spirits or 'Ruu'. Spirits are our benefactors letting us borrow the miracles of magic, and remember that very well, be grateful to them, spite is not the answer.
When we use magic, we call upon a fraction of that spirit's power, our Thrius then acts as a gateway for that power. As we call upon this power, it's only a very small, and I can't emphasize how small of the spirit's power that is we borrow. But as the mana flow in an individual gets better, we get access to slightly more its power.
In the previous chapter I mentioned the different elements, but please remember those elements are the most common. I have met some individual with other elements those are from spirits. Spirits don't only provide elemental powers, for example some spirits can make you small or large, apply buffs, and much more.
There are ranking in spirits too, I won't go over them right now. But let's take the example of 'Phoceles' one of the three Spirit Lords. He is the spirit that provide 'Aura' to warrior. He is so strong that Thrius operates entirely different, when borrowing his power. I won't give details about aura and how to acquire them. But if you want, try reading, 'Master Sword by Aerich' he might be rude but he was the Blade Emperor for 10 years now, he might hold that position till the day he dies.
Got off topic, but let me mention the three Spirit Lords; Phoceles: Master of Aura, Angar: Overseer of All Elements and Carpef: String master of Destiny. Only our second king was even able to borrow Angar's power. Phoceles hands out his power to whoever he sees fit, while nobody has borrowed Carpef's power believing doing so could deviate the fate of the human civilization.
But to learn our first spell we will call upon the Spirit of fire, Agni. There are other spirits of fire but Agni is very kind and generous, so beginners are asked to call upon him as their first spirit.
The next chapter we will learn how to call upon Agni.
