CHAPTER 40: THE COSMIC SHOWDOWN PART2

The clash reverberated through the multiverse, a cacophony of creation and destruction. The Don-Nothing and The Don-Everything recoiled, momentarily stunned by the brilliance of their children's unity.

"Impressive," The Don-Nothing grumbled, his dark form shifting as he regained composure. "But it won't last!"

"Let's see how long they can hold out," The Don-Everything chuckled, summoning more shadows to engulf the light. "They are foolish to think they can defeat us!"

As the battle raged on, the gods fought valiantly, their powers intertwining in a magnificent display of unity. Jokan and Jolee unleashed waves of creation and destruction, while Falcon and Eagle balanced life against the dark forces, keeping the chaos at bay.

But as the Don-Nothing and The Don-Everything advanced, their shadows grew thicker, snuffing out the light. "You are weak! You will never save your precious universes!" The Don-Nothing roared, his voice echoing like thunder.

"Together, we are stronger than you think!" Lucas shouted back, rallying his fellow gods. "We will not back down!"

Lanya, glowing with determination, stepped forward, her light piercing through the darkness. "We are the embodiment of existence! We will fight for our creations!"

"I've heard enough of your insolence; it's time for us to end this," The Don-Nothing said with a sinister smile. Then he shouted universal devastation, covering all the universes in darkness.

The Don-Everything started laughing. "Silly children, did you really think you could defeat us with such feeble attempts?"

"It's over; we have lost," Lucas and Lanya said, dropping to their knees, tears in their eyes.

---

Suddenly, a deep voice echoed through the void. "So is this the way you want it to end?"

They looked in the direction of the voice and saw a silhouette of a man covered by red and blue lights.

"Who are you, and what do you want with us?" Lucas asked the man.

The man laughed and snapped his fingers, and the darkness that was covering the universes disappeared.

"Who am I? That is a good question. I go by many names: The First One, The Last One, The Beginning, The End, The Narrator, The Writer, The Designer. All of these are my names, but my absolute favorite name is Shadow Lightning."

"You all can step back; I will deal with this," said Shadow Lightning.

The gods exchanged puzzled glances but stepped back, sensing the authority that radiated from him.

The only one who had a smile on his face was Meco.

" Meco! Why are you smiling, do you know who he is? Lanya asked in confusion.

" He's the one who created, The Don-Nothing and The Don-Everything.

He literally, wrote them in to Existence."

Meco said with a smile.

"Okay Meco, that's enough explaining, time to get back on track.

Don-Nothing, Don-Everything! You think you can destroy my creations? You underestimate the power of existence itself!" Shadow Lightning declared, his voice booming across the dimensions.

"Who do you think you are?" The Don-Nothing hissed, his form quaking with rage.

"Oh sorry! I forgot Meco is the only one able to break the fourth wall. So how do I break this down so you can understand? Oh, I know." He cleared his throat. "I am the force that binds the cosmos, the essence of creation and destruction! In other words, I am your creator, AKA the writer!"

With a flick of his wrist, he summoned a torrent of colors that spiraled around him, illuminating the void. The colors twisted into shapes of galaxies, stars, and life, reflecting the beauty that exists beyond the darkness.

"Your reign of chaos ends here!" Shadow Lightning shouted, unleashing a wave of energy that surged toward the primordial beings.

The Don-Nothing and The Don-Everything braced themselves, but the force was overwhelming. The darkness that enveloped the universes dissipated like mist in the morning sun, revealing vibrant worlds teeming with life.

"NO!" The Don-Nothing screamed, his voice filled with fury. "You cannot do this!"

"Oh, but I can," Shadow Lightning replied, his tone playful. "And I will. You have caused enough suffering."

---

As the cosmic forces battled, the gods watched in awe. Shadow Lightning, with a mere flick of his wrist, created a dazzling display of light that shimmered in front of the Don-Nothing and the Don-Everything, blinding them momentarily.

"Is this the best you can do?" The Don-Everything jeered, regaining her composure. "We are the essence of everything!"

"Ah, but you forget," Shadow Lightning said, his voice smooth like silk, "I am the essence of creation and destruction. You are merely fragments of the whole."

With another wave, he conjured a storm of light that swirled around the two primordial beings, trapping them in an ethereal cocoon.

"Your chaos has no place here!" he declared, his tone rising. "You will learn to appreciate the beauty of existence or be banished to the void from whence you came!"

"Never!" The Don-Nothing roared, trying to break free, but the light was unyielding. "We will return!"

"Perhaps," Shadow Lightning replied, his eyes narrowing. "But not today."

As the two primordial beings struggled, the gods gathered their strength, their powers flaring in unison, creating a radiant aura that surrounded Shadow Lightning. They felt the connection of their shared purpose, their love for existence igniting a fire within them.

"Let's finish this together!" Lucas shouted, rallying his family.

With their powers combined, they surged forward, joining Shadow Lightning in a final assault against the encroaching darkness.

"Together!" Lanya cried, her voice echoing through the void.

"Together!" the gods echoed, their energies intertwining, forming a brilliant shield of light that pushed back the shadows.

"NO!" The Don-Nothing and The Don-Everything screamed in unison, their forms disintegrating into particles of darkness.

"Mark my words shadow lightning, This isn't over. We shall return." The Don-Nothing shouted before disappearing.

The vibrant light enveloped the void, restoring balance to the cosmos. The gods watched in awe as the primordial forces faded, leaving behind a tapestry of stars and galaxies pulsating with life.

As the light settled, Shadow Lightning turned to the gods, his expression warm and inviting. "You have done well, my children. Your unity has prevailed over chaos."

In that moment, laughter rang through the cosmos, a sound that resonated with joy. The gods embraced, their bonds strengthened by the battle they had fought together.

"Does this mean we can finally celebrate?" Jokan asked, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Absolutely!" Tiffany-lee said, her enthusiasm infectious. "I think it's high time we threw a cosmic party!"

As the gods celebrated their victory, Shadow Lightning smiled, knowing that the balance of existence had been restored once more. The dance of creation continued, vibrant and alive, as the universes thrived under the watchful gaze of their creators.

And so, the saga of the Don-Nothing and the Don-Everything came to an end, for now but they may return later. However As the gods celebrated, Shadow Lightning faded into the background returning to his post as the writer ending this chapter and preparing to write the next one.
