Chapter 8: The Beginning of Kyrian’s Journey

This is just the very beginning of the story in which we must all stick together. For whose sake? For Kyrian's sake, he who has to sacrifice all his cultivation to travel to the very future to stop Zarath. We must stay tuned together and embark on this journey for Kyrian, for his sacrifice for infinity, and for the universe.

When life sees you as nothing, don't relent. You must show them what's in you. Believe you have a purpose in this universe. For you to fight millions of your semen brothers through the eggs in your mother's womb, you are a winner and you will always be a winner if you don't quit because you must not know when to quit.

Kyrian smiles. It's time to let others know who he is. Even though advanced technology has changed everything over millions of years, there must be a difference. He must show them what he knows that advanced technology can never discover. It's time to end the wrath of Zarath. It's time to show them who he is and what must be done. Kyrian makes his way through the hallway.

Elena and Lucius appear.

"Where have you been?" Elena asks with worry, checking if he's wounded or got into trouble.

"I'm good," he replies simply.

"Good… don't go out alone, especially out of our sight," Lucius adds.

"Yeah, he shouldn't because I'll end him once I have the ability to, and you'll know the rules of this universe," Arric says from a distance, his hair messy, his suit sparkling with electric faults. He quickly throws his martial arts magic water, shaped into a blade, towards Kyrian.

"Run, Kyrian!" Lucius and Elena shout as Arric and his team run after him. He stops immediately as his Qi emerges into a dragon that flies towards the pursuers. They are all surprised. Elena quickly hits the dragon, which turns back into Qi and flies back to Kyrian. Lucius freezes the water magic from Arric, and Elena and Kyrian immediately shut down the room system, locking Arric and his team in the hallway. The freezing and emergency alert beeping soon brings security personnel rushing to know what's going on. Lucius and his team quickly escape.

"How did you do that? No one ever uses such magic," Elena asks.

"I did it with just a simple spell. It's just a magic trick," Kyrian replies.

"Magic trick? No one knows about that, and no one uses spells these days," Lucius says.

"Hope you believe the Kyrian you know is dead. How old are you guys? I can't sense any immortality in you," Kyrian says.

"None of us has yet embarked on the immortality journey, and why ask? We're in our twenties," Elena says.

"I'm millions of years older than you guys," Kyrian says.

"That means you are my…" Elena tries to tease.

"Grandpa," Lucius says.

"No, great-grandpa," Elena suggests.

"Great-great-great-great-great-grand-grand-grand-grand…" Lucius and Elena say, laughing hard until he cuts them off.

"Enough," Kyrian says.

"Yeah, enough, his royal majesty of the Cerriben Empire, or what's your empire? Emperor Kyrian?" she says sarcastically, bringing his Data Crystal close to him.

"What's this?" Kyrian asks curiously, not wanting to touch it.

"Your Data Crystal. It's for data information storing and learning, also with various activities on it. You know better, and no one can unlock each other's Data Crystals because it has a security code. So you have to unlock it before we believe you and accept you lost your memories," Elena says.

"Losing memories is rare," Lucius says, looking at Kyrian, who doesn't know what to do.

"Will I press the button as you did earlier at the door?" Kyrian asks.

"No, it'll scan one of your eyes," Elena explains, moving his head to the position. The scan fails, turning his eyes to the other side. Immediately, Lucius does the same, seeming like his head is now a toy.

"Enough! Are you guys crazy? Because of this small thing, you plan to uproot my head from my neck!" Kyrian says angrily.

"Something is truly wrong. We need to hack his Data Crystal," Lucius and Elena say, accessing each other's Data Crystals.

Kyrian evolves in Qi energy, meditating with his mind as it begins to write ancient text into the air, revealing some ancient secrets. They couldn't help but fall to their feet.

"You are not Kyrian… then who are you?" Elena asks, getting alert.

"One of Zarath's men in disguise?" Lucius says, ready to attack.

"I am Emperor Kyrian, the cousin of Zarath. I am here to finish what he started," Kyrian says, handing over the ancient text to them.

"How will we believe you?" Lucius asks.

"As it says in the prophecy, you guys believe I am back," he says as his Qi forms multiple dragon heads.

"I am the prophecy. I am the emperor. I am the emperor of infinity and the universe," Kyrian says, his green eyes turning golden, seeming to be outraged by his energy as he floats above the air. This is really serious as they fall to their feet.

"Can I trust you with my little secret?" he says as he falls back to normal.

"You can. We've got your back, Emperor Kyrian…" Elena says, putting on his Qi Catalyst Accelerator.

"Call me Kyrian. It'll be more comfortable like that," Kyrian says.

"But the prophecy has been around for millions of years. No one believes it anymore since we've all waited for so long," Lucius says.
