Chapter 99: A Paradise-like Employee Dormitory

"Not bad, everyone looks spirited!"

Chen Jianhai nodded in approval as he looked at the employees he hadn't seen in two weeks.

Reading more books really does make a difference! This group, who usually looked like a bunch of monkeys, now returned from school looking completely different. Each one seemed more energetic, more motivated, and even their eyes sparkled.

They were in much better shape than their usual dull, just-working selves. It seems like he would need to arrange more training sessions for them in the future.

Thinking about this, Chen Jianhai asked, "How did you all do in your exams?"

Upon hearing this, the employees' expressions became varied. Some looked proud, while others turned their heads a bit awkwardly. Zhu Tingting had a particularly "doomed" expression, looking as miserable as could be.

Chen Jianhai took note of everyone's reactions and laughed, "I won't concern myself with school matters here. Whether you did well or poorly, Teacher Gao will take care of you."

"The hotel has just been renovated, so everyone should get familiar with the new environment. Tonight, you are free to explore. The hotel officially opens for business in three days!"

"Meeting adjourned!"

...

After quickly wrapping up a brief motivational meeting with the employees, Chen Jianhai left them to freely explore the hotel.

Bai Cheng stood in the hotel lobby, filled with admiration for Chen Jianhai.

As the saying goes, laypeople watch for fun, experts watch the details. Nowadays, the exterior and interior designs of major hotels are pretty much the same. Some hotels even highlight their luxury with custom-brand soaps and hand sanitizers to greatly satisfy the guests' desire to use complimentary hotel items.

The red wine bar under the floor-to-ceiling windows, the small meeting rooms in the business center, the boutiques, and the specialty restaurants are all very nice. But being able to find the service desk quickly, clearly, and easily is the core of a hotel's lobby.

Bai Cheng and Zhu Tingting, who were originally students of hotel management, evaluated hotels based on comfort, environment, aesthetics, and, most importantly, service functionality.

To ordinary guests, the hotel lobby might just be a nice place to take photos, relax, and sit. But to them, the lobby was a large functional ***, hidden beneath beautiful murals and soft carpets.

The entire lobby, with the service desk at the center, radiated like a spider web to all functional areas, shortening the distance between the hotel and its guests.

No matter who it was, once they pushed open the hotel doors, they would immediately see the service desk without feeling lost.

As Bai Cheng was seriously studying the layout of the lobby, her three short-haired roommates said, "Da Chengzi, we can look at this later. The boys have already gone to the dorms, let's check out ours too!"

"Yeah, yeah."

...

The employee dormitories were on the 2nd to 6th floors of the hotel. The boys were considerate enough to let the girls take the better rooms on the 5th and 6th floors.

As the elevator light for the 5th floor turned on and the doors opened, Bai Cheng and the other girls walked on the thick, soft deep-blue carpet, searching for an unoccupied room.

The short-haired roommate remarked, "I wonder where the boss got these carpets from, the soundproofing is amazing."

"Hmm? Yeah! I didn't even notice!" Bai Cheng realized. They had been dragging their suitcases down the corridor, but there wasn't even a hint of noise from the wheels rubbing against the carpet.

Walking down the corridor, it was so quiet that they often thought no one was in the rooms and knocked several times.

"Is anyone there?"

The roommate with a repetitive speaking habit knocked lightly on one door and pressed her ear against it to listen carefully.

After a while, hearing no response, she pressed down on the handle and with a "click," the door unlocked and opened slightly.

She peeked inside and then happily called out, "Come quick! This room is unoccupied!"

Hearing this, Bai Cheng and the others quickly pushed their suitcases over.

As soon as they opened the door, they exclaimed in awe, not believing their eyes.

This was a four-person room with two beds on each side near the window. Each bed was a bunk with a desk underneath.

The room had a sofa, wardrobes, air conditioning, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a dryer, a microwave, a rice cooker, a bathroom, a water heater, and a private balcony.

Everything, from the bedding to the towels and slippers, was brand new.

Opening the wardrobes, they found bathrobes, uniforms, and dress shoes all ready, making it so they could move in with just their luggage.

Most importantly, the room was spacious. Even though it was a four-person room, it didn't feel cramped at all.

There were two small potted plants on the windowsill, with purple flowers gently swaying in the sea breeze, filling the room with a faint floral fragrance.

Each desk had a cute plush dolphin toy, seemingly welcoming the new occupants.

"This is the best employee dormitory I've ever seen!" Bai Cheng exclaimed, hugging the small dolphin plush to her chest.

They had previously speculated about what the hotel's employee dorms would be like.

Considering the hotel had only 15 floors, most rooms had to be guest rooms. So, employee dorms were bound to be tight. They had even prepared themselves to live in an eight-person dormitory.

But who could have imagined that the rooms would be so spacious and fully equipped with furniture and kitchen facilities? It was unbelievably comfortable to live in!

"Free food, free accommodation, uniforms, a monthly salary, and bonuses for good exam results..."

"This isn't a hotel, it's paradise!"

...

Meanwhile, downstairs, the boys' dormitory was in the midst of a heated battle.

"Get him!"

"Someone heal me, please, help me!!"

"Retreat, retreat! Defend the base!"

...

Seeing the red Victory symbol on the screen, one boy exclaimed, "That kill was amazing! The internet speed here is even better than in an internet cafe!"

They had brought little luggage, and since Chen Jianhai said they could freely explore tonight, they quickly set up their computers for a game.

But once they started, they couldn't stop! The internet speed was phenomenal!

Moreover, each room was so soundproof that no matter how loudly they shouted inside, it wouldn't disturb the neighboring rooms.

Truly, their dear boss spared no expense for the employees! He even invested in high-speed broadband and WiFi for the dorms.
