Alora swallowed her thick saliva feeling the power oozing in that intense voice and slowly calmed down before turning around to face the owner of the voice.
She looked at the silhouette of the tall man standing a few feet away from her. Her eyes traveled up all the way, seeing the red Cloak covering his high frame up to his head. Her breath struck in her throat seeing the man's face. He was not some ordinary man but more like a Greek God.
His electric blue eyes were like a shining glass piercing her gaze and made her numb on a place yet again. Those gorgeous globes are very rare to see but there Alora witnessed them in this man. The white swirls around his blue orbs were dancing in rage as He leveled his eyes on her.
His sharp jawlines and pointed nose were other examples of indicating He was not someone to fool around. A white sheen charmed on his wide forehead stating He was calculating her every move. Slowly He advanced towards Alora with heavy yet slow steps.
His boots made sound under the snow, breaking her reverie. He stopped merely three steps away from her and tilted his head at her with an unblinking gaze.
Alora looked up at his almost six feet six inches frame.
"Who are you!" He asked indifferently. Alora opened her mouth to speak but He asked again with clenched jaws.
"Don't dare to lie, Little bird. I will catch your sweet lie."
Alora blinked at him, keeping her calm. She knew how to respond to the one who could detect a lie. "Iam Alora Dragomir, the princess of the Black Bridge Coven."
Listening to her soft yet firm voice, He narrowed his gaze at her and linked his hands behind his back. His eyes slowly scanned the surroundings in silence and Alora stood on her ground emitting a normal scent trying to hide her true essence.
"How did you come here?" He asked again, piercing her hazel green eyes with his Electric blue one. Alora inwardly stiffened seeing his hard and impassive gaze.
"Through magic. I want to meet a moon guardian. Can you please take me to him?" She asked politely. He arched his perfect eyebrow at her audacity.
"Through Magic?" He ignored her request.
"I would like to know which powerful magic enabled you to send here. The most protected and secured realm, Lora?"
Alora shivered visibly when He called her a name that only one person used to call her in her childhood. And she didn't like it. Not at all! But Ignoring it, She cleared her throat and responded.
"Through a wizard. I came here with a purpose, Sir. Please take me to the Moon guardian!" She requested again.
He blinked up leisurely. This girl was testing his patience without answering his inquiry.
"What business do you have with the Moon guardian? Until and unless you don't tell me, I am afraid I can't fulfill your wish!" He stated.
"But I can't tell you. I want to meet only him, Sir." She forced the words out of her. No way in hell she would tell him her purpose if he was not a moon guardian and she doubted him if he was him. Wearing a red clock on his body he seemed like his disciple or something like that.
The man hummed and chuckled deeply which resonated the eerie place. Alora felt something in her stomach at the sound of his deep chuckle.
"Sure enough! Come with me!" He nodded and turned to walk and Alora left the breath she held before. He was emitting dreadful vibes around which she didn't feel positive. She glared at his back grudgingly but followed him, maintaining a good distance.
They walked for a while and Alora could swear they were strolling and passing by the same spots repeatedly. "Can you tell me how long it will take?" she stopped and asked as politely as she could manage.
He halted his steps too and turned to look down at her. The deep frown in between his eyebrows made her blink.
"Why? Do you have an appointment somewhere?" He asked sarcastically. Alora was surprised with his sense of humor. Being the resident of the immortal realm, He surely knows the things from earth.
"No! I am seeing the same spot for the third time. We are passing through the same route!" She said curtly, showing him that she figured out her surroundings so He shouldn't take her as a fool.
"Is that so?" He arched his perfect eyebrow and calmly looked around.
"Hmm! Last time I checked it was the same surroundings since my two hundred years of life. Should I change something around?" He asked her curiously, scratching his jaw. Alora's mouth turned taut in anger.
"Why are you wasting my time? Would you take me to the Moon guardian or should I find another way to reach him? I told you I have business with him!" Alora said, emphasizing the word Business.
His full lips stretched into a complacent smile, listening to her words. Stepping ahead, invading her privacy, He touched her forehead with his two fingers.
Alora stiffened and felt something run through her body as his warm fingers touched her skin. It was like tingles, Delicious tingles. What the hell!
"And I told you the moon guardian won't entertain you until and unless you tell me what I want to know from you.. Lora!" He rasped and before his fingers could trail down to her neck Alora pushed his hand away. "Stay away from me!" She gritted her teeth in anger.
"Or what would you do, little bird?" He provoked her, smirking to see what she was. As expected, Alora stepped back, tugging the magic into her fingertips, she threw the powerful yank at him. In a blink, His body jerked back with the sudden force, his boots scratching roughly against the ground but he took control of his body instantly. He clenched his legs and abruptly stopped on the spot.
Alora gasped, her magic never disappointed her. How come He escaped the impact of her spell? Other people would have flown away from the mere spell by her hand. But this man!
But her breath hitched as soon as He raised his eyes at her. His blue globes illuminated like a crystal ball of ice as anger surged through every nerve of his body. This mere little girl dared to practice her magic on him.
He curled his lips and twisted his neck. The next second He raced towards her. Alora was not prepared and before she could blink, He clutched her neck in his death-like grip before pulling her to him. Her mouth opened in shock and her eyes blazed.
But as soon as his hand touched her delicate neck something snapped inside him and He froze in place as a strong, sour and sweet scent hit his nostrils from close and a small voice whispered strongly in his mind. The voice of his beast!
MATE!
He paused, blinked and looked directly into the eyes of a vixen in his hold.
And He knew then and there that his downfall had come.
She was his mate! A fated mate!
Fucking hell!
How come this mysterious cunning vampire girl could be his mate? And not to mention a sorceress! He couldn't believe his twisted fate and chuckled darkly at the play of moon goddess.
