"I wanted Princess Heaven as his mate!"
Alora looked at the Lycan queen with uncertainty as a frown marred in between her eyebrows. A princess?
"I wanted princess Heaven for Erix's chosen mate and the future queen of Snowspell. She is the Alpha woman from the Empire of Winter falls from the Northern side. We even talked to the king of Winter Falls about it And He was happy with the alliance of the two kingdoms."
'Which son are you talking about, whom I haven't met yet? Who gives a damn about him or his princess Heaven?' Alora wanted to spit sarcastic remarks but she restrained herself and scoffed in her mind.
"Iam sorry for everything, my queen. I haven't had any intention to interfere in anything. I deeply apologize." Alora murmured pathetically and for once she tried to emit her enchanting aura to entice the queen but she failed to tell if this was working on her as Rowena was staring at her unblinking like she would swallow her down raw.
"Don't apologize until you haven't made any mistake or did you?" Rowena raised her eyebrows at her. At this point her sharp gray eyes stirred the worry inside Alora. So This woman really had developed doubts in her mind regarding her. Alora shook her head looking down.
"Hmm! I will give you a chance to prove yourself but there will be challenges for you, Alora. In the evening, the pack members of the Snow spell will gather to see you as Erix's mate. And your first test will be to prove how well you're raised up in the Moonshine pack. I expect you to fulfill the task given to you." Rowena said before pulling the book out of her desk's drawer and sliding it in front of Alora.
"And you need to learn about the history of Snow Spell. I reckon that you are aware of this dynasty but not in detail. Being the mate of a Lycan, you need to be well educated, it will become useful for you in the future!"
Alora grabbed the red thick book and stared at its cover. Alora knew she needed it more than anything. The queen had given her the first key of the hidden room. Alora smirked internally.
"Thank you Queen. I appreciate it." Alora said politely. Rowena nodded, giving her a look of intimidation.
"Don't forget that you are about to challenge a few qualified members inside and outside the kingdom, Alora. And your last battle will be with the princess Heaven. If you surpass her abilities, it will be an honor to announce you as the next queen." Rowena reminded her strictly.
Alora nodded. Now after hearing Rowena's words she figured out that this Werewolf Princess was someone powerful and special to them.
After the Queen dismissed her, Alora walked back to the room with the Red book in her hands. She wanted to start it as soon as possible to know the kind of the original lycans.
Once Alora stepped into the room, she paused her movements. Since when did He changed the interiors?
The furniture, curtains and the theme of the room was changed to golden, red and black colors. A new red and golden colored couch was placed at the corner and Alora raised her eyes at this. Did He bring it for himself?
But then her eyes fell on something on the bed. It was a little square box with a red ribbon wrapped around it. A gift?
Alora looked around but she couldn't find Crimson so she decided to open the box. She walked near the bed and after Putting the book on the nightstand she grabbed it and opened it. What she saw inside made her intrigued.
"I thought you would need it!" She heard the deep voice behind her at the door.
Alora looked up to see him leaning at the doorway with his legs crossed and hands pocketed inside his pants. His charming face illuminated the aura around him the second He threw a smile at her. This man was indeed a walking Greek God, enchanting everyone with his magnificence wherever He stepped on.
Alora cleared her throat and looked down ignoring his infectious smile. She pulled out the latest black colored iPhone out of the box.
"Impressive!" She hummed and turned it on.
The screen blinked and Alora saw the picture of the high mountains of the Snow spell as wallpaper on the home screen.
"I thought you might be missing your family and friends. So you need a phone to contact them." Crimson said, walking to her slowly, attempting to coax her to get information about her family.
But the response startled him as Alora chuckled.
Family and friends? Does she have any?
He arched his brow, seeing her amusing smile. It was the first time she chuckled but why did it seem ironic?
"That's so thoughtful of you. Thanks to you, again. For this gift." She said, waving the phone in her hand.
"You are welcome, my dear mate." He grinned. Alora rolled her eyes.
"Who gave it to you?" Crimson asked, as his eyes narrowed on the red book eyes.
"Oh! Queen Rowena gave it to me to learn about the Lycan stuff." She shrugged her shoulders, looking through the apps on the phone.
"Then it would be valuable to me too!" He was about to grab it but in a blink, Alora seized it and glared at him.
"Why? You are the moon guardian! Don't you know enough about them? I need it more!" She tight-smiled at him. Crimson blinked silently at her behavior.
"I didn't hear rubbish for nothing just to get this reward!" She gritted under her breath as she recalled how the Queen insulted her and compared her to some oh so good princess.
"Then let's read it together tonight! What do you say?" He proposed. Alora curled her lips and twisted her wrist before vanishing the book in her hand.
"Alright, for your little gift. I can offer you this!" She nodded.
"You are also kind, Mate!" He smirked. She gave him a look but then immediately asked when He turned to leave.
"Who is Princess Heaven? From the winter falls empire?"
Crimson stopped and blinked at her bewildered. "Princess Heaven?" He repeated her words. Alora nodded carefully hoping He might have known her.
"And why do you think that I would use my powers on these trivial matters to find out about some princess? I am not that ideal?" He rolled his eyes but Alora didn't let him go.
"I need to combat her in some challenge according to the Queen. She wants me to be like her. What's special in her?" Alora said, Walking to him.
"Why do you ask me? You should see it yourself when she comes to challenge you!" He suggested. Alora sighed.
"Can't you help me in this before The competition so I could prepare myself. You are supposed to help me, as my mate, you know." She smiled, imitating his words.
Crimson raised his perfect eyebrow and scratched his jaws. His inner beast erected his head in his mind excitedly. Now now! He found the moment to tame her attitude.
Alora looked at him expectedly. He took predatory steps towards her, making her retreat. Her legs hit the bed behind her and she sat on it with a thud as He hovered over her with his huge frame. He bent to her level before putting his one knee on the bed.
"Why is it only you, who gets help from me? I also need favors, You know!" He said in his usual tone, nodding seriously.
"What.. What do you need?" Alora asked him, leaning back. Damn! Why did she have to be so helpless in front of him?
Crimson smirked with a glint In his electric blue eyes and Alora reckoned He would surely sputter some nonsense or demand something ridiculous. His eyes fell on the newly covered sheets.
"You…."
