Chapter 4

"Hey, did you have fun at your grandmother's house, Ruhi?" Snigdha asked. Snigdha is Ruhi's best friend. "It was nice," Ruhi said with a light smile. "At least you have someone, I have no one," Snigdha said sadly. Ruhi smiled and placed her hand on Snigdha's shoulder, "Aren't we here for you?" "Yeah," Snigdha smiled faintly. "Today it's my turn to wash the dishes," Snigdha said. "And I have to clean the bathroom," Ruhi laughed. "I really hate cleaning the bathroom," Ruhi scrunched her nose. "You're right, it's disgusting," Snigdha agreed. "Let's go, or you know how Miss Jennifer is." "Yeah, let's go," Snigdha said. The two of them went to the dining hall. Miss Jennifer stood in front of their table. "Before we start eating, I want to share some good news," she said. "What?" everyone exclaimed together. "Tomorrow, we'll go to Gazipur to the Swapno Nir picnic spot," she announced. Everyone was overjoyed. "Now, you all can eat," Miss Jennifer said and left.

"What will you wear, Ruhi?" Snigdha asked. "Avantika Apu bought me many dresses, I'll wear one of those," Ruhi replied. "I don't have any nice dresses," Snigdha said sadly. "You can take one of mine, no need to worry," Ruhi said. "You're so kind, Ruhi," Snigdha hugged Ruhi.

"Sir!" a man called Rowen. "What?" Rowen looked at him with red eyes. "Rafiq isn't in Gazipur, he supplies our goods," the man said in one breath. "Hmm, what has Rafiq done?" "He's collaborating with the Dark Group," the man replied. The Dark Group is another mafia gang and rivals of Rowen's Tiger Group. Rowen's face hardened, and a vein on his forehead bulged. He couldn't tolerate betrayal and gritted his teeth, "He will pay for it." Rowen slammed his hand on the table.

Ruhi and Snigdha were lying next to each other, too excited to sleep. They were thrilled about the picnic the next day. Ruhi had a different feeling, as if something special awaited her there. "Ruhi!" Snigdha whispered. "What?" Ruhi whispered back. "I can't sleep," Snigdha whispered. "Me neither," Ruhi replied softly. "What should we do?" "Let's go to the roof." "Are you crazy? What if Miss Jennifer sees us?" "Don't worry, nothing will happen," Ruhi assured her. "Okay, let's go," Snigdha agreed. They quietly got up and went to the roof. "You know, Snigdha, I feel like something special is waiting for me in Gazipur," Ruhi said. "Really?" Snigdha smiled. "Yes," Ruhi replied.

Rowen brought a girl to his room that night. She was new and different from the others. Initially, she didn't want to come, but she agreed after Rowen threatened her. The girl followed Rowen inside and sat on the sofa as he instructed. Rowen went upstairs to freshen up. The girl kept looking at the door, ready to leave. Just then, Rowen grabbed her hand, "Where are you going?" The girl trembled with fear. "What happened? Tell me, where are you going?" Rowen shouted. "Please, sir, let me go. Don't ruin me," she begged, holding Rowen's feet and crying. "Stand up!" Rowen shouted again when she didn't move. Trembling, the girl stood up. "Sit on the sofa," Rowen commanded. "Yes?" "Can't you hear?" Rowen scolded. The girl sat down. Rowen ordered food from outside. After the food arrived, they both ate. After finishing, Rowen told her to sleep in the guest room downstairs and went to his room. He called a girl named Lisa to come over.

Early in the morning, everyone woke up. Ruhi and Snigdha were already awake. Ruhi had taken a shower earlier. She laid out all her dresses for Snigdha to choose from. Snigdha picked a pink salwar kameez because she loves pink. Ruhi wore a white salwar kameez, paired with white glass bangles on one wrist and a golden watch given by Avantika Apu on the other. She left her hair down and put a white stone bindi on her forehead. She applied sheer-colored lip balm. Ruhi looked enchanting today. She was already very beautiful, but today she looked exceptionally lovely. All the other girls were envious of her. Two buses arrived to take them. Snigdha and Ruhi sat together on the bus. Miss Jennifer played music, and some students got up to dance. Ruhi and Snigdha clapped and sang along.

After about an hour's journey, they reached the Swapno Nir picnic spot. Everyone got off the bus cheerfully. Miss Jennifer reminded everyone to stay together, but no one listened and scattered. They cooked and ate together, then played various games. Some even played musical games. In the afternoon, Miss Jennifer suggested they go for a walk around the area. Everyone went together. Snigdha and Ruhi were walking side by side. Absentmindedly, Ruhi wandered off in a different direction. She wasn't paying attention when she suddenly heard gunshots. Her heart pounded. She tried to peek and saw six or seven men in black standing there. The tallest man in a black coat shot two men in front of Ruhi. Startled, she tried to move but made a noise. The men looked in her direction. Ruhi tried to run, but a deep, stern voice called out, "Who is there?" She couldn't move. Seeing the men approaching, she lost control and fainted, screaming.
