The Showdown at Alfonso Wells Memorial Playground .Pt II

Jamar picked up the ball and proceeded to check it to Nas.

"You need to keep your eyes on me, my boy," Nas taunted, jab-stepping left before quickly dropping his step to the right. Jamar shuffled his feet, trying to keep up, but the slight hesitation was all Nas needed. He smiled like a cat spotting an open canary's cage, sensing the opportunity as he dribbled the ball between his legs and crossed over to his right. Finding space, he stepped back and faded away from the 3-point line. Jamar was a split second too late to contest the shot.

**Swish**

"Nas with some beautiful moves, scores!" announced the host, MC Kraken.

Drones buzzed overhead, capturing every angle of the game, while content creators adjusted their cameras for the best views.

"Good defense, better offense on that one," remarked Coach Anderson from Pershing High.

"So this is what you're planning to unleash on us, huh?" said Coach Kyle from Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High.

"Didn't even know we had him in our school," replied Coach Anderson. "And don't pretend you don't have Malik and Bryson," he continued.

"Let's just watch the game," chuckled Coach Kyle.

"Check up, my boy," Nas called out.

Jamar passed the ball back to Nas and got into his defensive stance. This time, Nas jab-stepped and immediately pulled up for a jumper, catching Jamar off guard.

**6:4**

The scoreboard updated as Nas flexed and talked smack. "Guard up, my boy, or I might send your black ass home in a body bag," he said, adrenaline pumping.

Jamar picked up the ball and prepared to check it again. 'That wasn't in his playbook because he isn't consistent with a quick jab shot. I was expecting him to fake and drive to the basket,' Jamar thought.

Play resumed, and Nas drove to the basket, executing a tough fadeaway shot from mid-range.

**Swish**

The scoreboard now read 6:6. "He can't guard me, he's too little," Nas shouted, hyped up.

The game continued, and this time Nas sped to the rim, executing a behind-the-back move that made Jamar stumble before recovering. In the blink of an eye, both players met at the rim, jumping simultaneously. The sequence ended with a thunderous dunk.

**Bang**

The crowd erupted as Jamar found himself on the floor with Nas stepping over him. "Crazy things we are seeing here! An insane posterizer! Nas said it, Nas did it. Where's the body bag?" exclaimed MC Kraken.

Comments on the live streams blew up:

"🔥🔥🔥"

"Rip to Jamar, it was nice knowing you."

"Sheesh, 8 straight points and a poster dunk. Hell no."

Anne watched the match, tears welling in her eyes. "I'm going to miss you, Jamar," she whispered.
