It seemed that Arie was using him to deflect this creepy doctor's attention. Keith sighed
to himself and looked at the young man. He smiled and said, Sorry, Dr. Conner.
Nurse Park did agree to accompany me to the movies. You fulfilled Arie's wish to avoid
Dr. Conner. Wish value, plus one.
Current progress, two of ten. Dr. Conner's face fell when he heard this. He looked at
Keith coldly and said, And may I know who exactly you are? Keith shrugged and said,
One of her patients.
Her patient? Dr. Conner sneered and said, I'm asking who you are. What's your
profession? Summerfield Society had its rules. Before you decide to deal with a person,
you look first at their profession, then at their income, and then at their relationships.
Keith replied, I'm a police support staff. Dr. Conner scoffed at Keith's reply. A few of the
other patrons in the cafeteria looked at Keith with disdain as well.
Dr. Conner looked at Keith with contempt. He smiled and said, How about this? You don't
have to watch the movie anymore. I'll give you this instead.
Five hundred dollars. That's enough for you to buy ten movie tickets. As he spoke, he
took a handful of hundred-dollar bills from his wallet and placed them on the table.
He said, I'll pay for your breakfast too. Now, if there's nothing else, you can leave. The
salary of a police tech would never compare to a doctor's.
This man was clearly looking down on Keith. A faint ripple of laughter was heard from the
surrounding crowd. Keith's expression slowly became serious, but he kept his tone light.
As a doctor, you should know how to treat others kindly. Instead, you only seem to know
how to judge and flaunt your wealth. Seems like you're lacking in professionalismprofessionalism.
