I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's in the textbooks. I know, right? It's amazing the way
he's reeling off all that information. If only my son was that talented.
Ari gave a rueful smile, but when Dr. Conner saw it, he became even more excited. From
time to time, he would glance complacently at Keith. Finally, Dr. Conner finished his
recital and said proudly, Oh, well, Ari, am I right? Ari sighed softly and nodded.
The four methods you mentioned and the notes from the distinguished doctors are
almost exactly correct. When the crowd heard this, they all nodded their heads
enthusiastically. Although Dr. Conner was vulgar, he was still a doctor and a talented one
at that.
Some of the older ladies even leaned over to whisper to Ari about how much a doctor
like that could earn in a year. If Ari married him, they winked, she would never have to
worry about money again. They barely even glanced at Keith anymore.
No one thought for even a second that this junior from the precinct could be Dr. Conner.
Dr. Conner, on the other hand, was determined to see Keith make a fool of himself. He
sneered and said, I'm finished.
Keith, it's your turn. The crowd's eyes swiveled to Keith. Not many of them bothered to
hide their amusement.
Ari looked at him helplessly and gave a weak smile. Keith took a look at the expressions
of the crowd and smiled noncommittally. How about this? I'll also discuss some of the
treatment methods for the common cold.
It will save Ari the trouble of having to find a whole new chapter. For the next ten
minutes, the room was stunned into complete silence. The only sound was that of Keith
talking endlessly about how the common cold related to the theory of various diseases.
The accuracy of his narration was spot on. He recounted all kinds of cases as well as
various things he'd inferred from them. He even included the footnotes added by the
distinguished doctors.
He didn't miss a single word. Ari's jaw fell open and she stared at Keith in disbelief. The
rest of the crowd had similar expressions.
Oh my God, he's a secret genius. Wow, this guy's an expert. Hey handsome, you study
medicine too? You got a girlfriend? Bro, didn't you say you'd eat five bites per second
from the scraps bin in the kitchen? Well man, I hope you're hungry.
The crowd was stunned beyond belief and the cafeteria erupted into an uproar. The
nurses in the corner watched Keith with shining eyes almost falling off the edge of their
seats. Dr. Connor was so shocked that his eyeballs almost popped out of his head.
He was a doctor of medicine, so of course he knew what Keith was saying was correct.
He stared blankly at the young man before him, who was serenely explaining the
advanced medical theory. For the first time in his life, Dr. Connor truly understood the
saying, never judge a book by its cover.
Keith concluded his mini lecture and said with a faint smile, how did I do Dr. Connor?
Was I right? Dr. Connor looked embarrassed. After all, he was a professional physician. A
layman shouldn't be able to even come close to him in medical knowledge.
How could he show his face around here any longer? The crowd watched him with pity,
waiting to see how he'd react. Finally, he stood up and looked at Aerie, who was smiling
and talking to Keith. There was hatred in her eyes, but it disappeared in a flash.
You've fulfilled Aerie's wish of winning. Wish value, plus one. Wish value progress, four of
ten.
You've shattered Dr. Connor's wish to date Aerie. Attribute point, plus one. Keith was
delighted when he heard the notifications from the system.
For breakfast, he'd won three wish values and one attribute point. This was too
awesome. After Dr. Connor left, Keith realized everyone was still staring at him.
There were even a few people who wanted to talk to him. Since they'd finished their
waffles, Keith nodded to Aerie, and they headed out of the cafeteria. Along the way,
Aerie chattered like an excited little bird.
It seemed that she'd even forgotten about going home to sleep. Keith, Keith, Keith,
you're so awesome. Can you teach me TCM? I always wanted to get my TCM license.
Keith smiled and said, it wouldn't be impossible to teach you, but the tuition fee. Seeing
the way that Keith smiled at her, Aerie seemed to understand. Her face turned a pale
shade of pink, and she softly said, so you're bad as well as smart.
Though her words sounded indignant, she didn't seem to be angry at all. Instead, she
looked a little shy. She lowered her head as if considering something.
Keith wanted to tease her, so he moved closer and whispered, what are you thinking
about? You do like me, don't you? Aerie looked up in shock. What? She hurriedly took a
few steps back and scoffed, her face bright red. I don't like people younger than me.
Goodbye. With that, she stormed away. Keith watched her go and shook his head with a
smile.
There was something he needed to do, but he didn't want just to tell her to get lost. So
he deliberately irritated her so that he could escape. However, just as he was about to
turn around and leave, Aerie ran back againagain.
