Chapter:-103 So we can't be friends anymore?

I stayed here last night. Nonsense, Mr. Park said coldly. It doesn't matter if a man is poor,

but he must have a backbone.

Young man, you don't have to pretend to be something you're not. If you don't change

your attitude, I'm afraid you won't have much of a future. As for going to see a movie, I

don't think that's a good idea.

My daughter won't be contacting you again. Frown lines appeared on Keith's forehead.

What was up with this guy? Was he afraid that Keith would kidnap his daughter? Why

wouldn't he believe Keith was telling the truth? Ari looked embarrassed.

Seeing Keith frown, she hurriedly said, Keith, I'm sorry. My dad can be kind of blunt.

Don't take it to heart.

Keith smiled and shook his head. That's okay. It's normal for parents to care about their

daughters.

I've something I need to do here, so I'll leave you guys to it. As he turned to leave, a car

suddenly drove over and blocked the road out of the park. A young man in designer

clothes and sunglasses jumped out.

He strode over to Ari, ignoring Keith entirely. He said kindly, Ari, have you been waiting a

long time? As Keith was squeezed to the side, Ari gave him an apologetic look. Then she

smiled and said, we've just arrived.

The young man nodded and addressed Mr. Park with a smile. Sir, I've asked my dad

about the job at the mall. He agreed that you can be a logistics team leader.

If you want to go now, I can take you there. Mr. Park smiled and said, thank you, Benny.

You've been so helpful to us.

Why don't you let Ari treat you to a movie tomorrow? The young man called Benny

laughed and said, how could I let Ari treat me? I'll treat her. Mr. Park smiled and nodded.

As he passed Keith, he said quietly, you see, the difference is clear.

I hope you will remember what I told you just now. Ari heard him clearly. She said angrily, dad, why would you say that? Keith may be a little young, but he's very talented.

He's better than you think. She turned to Keith and said, Keith, I'm sorry. I'll treat you to

a meal and apologize later.

Keith nodded speechlessly. He was just taking a walk in the park. Why was he being

mocked? But he couldn't be bothered to argue with these people.

He was about to leave. But the scene of him and Ari talking had made Benny's face dark

and he called out in a deep voice. Wait a minute.

Keith looked at him in surprise and said, what's up? Benny said faintly. I don't know what

your relationship with Ari is. Keith looked at Ari before saying, we're friends.

Is there a problem with that? Friends, huh? Benny replied. I don't know where you're

from. Before Keith could say anything, Mr. Park sneered.

Keith used to be in the police, but he quit. I see. Benny smiled sarcastically while

pretending to be sincere.

Since you're Ari's friend, I'll help you out. The car wash at my dad's mall is short on staff.

The pay's not great, but it's still a job.

I'll get someone to take care of you. These words were obviously said to make himself

look good. He was showing off his generosity while making Keith look like a fool in front

of Ari.

Keith narrowed his eyes and said lightly, I don't know which mall it is. Benny pushed up

his sunglasses and said with a smile, Sunshine Square. My dad is the boss there.

Oh, Keith laughed. Sunshine Square, huh? I heard that belongs to Olive Industries. No

wonder you're so arrogant.

Speaking of which, does your dad not need to interview people before offering them

work? Or do you usually just hand out jobs so directly? Benny became even more puffed

up when he heard that. My dad is the boss. He's in charge of Sunshine Square.

He hires whoever he wants. Seeing Keith's faint smile, Benny changed the subject and

said, if you don't want to work there, fine, but Ari is my friend and she deserves better

than you. Stay in your lane, dude.

Keith laughed and looked at Ari. So we can't be friends anymore? Ari hadn't expected

things to turn out like this. Tears welled up in her eyes and she shook her head.

But under her father's strict gaze, she didn't dare speak up. Keith saw this and sighed.

He looked at Ari and said, I understand what you mean.

I'll make sure to take you to that movie I owe you when I get the chance. Keith shook his

head and turned to leave. But just then, a Rolls Royce drove down the street.

Because the road was still blocked by Benny's car, they had to stop. A woman in a suit

got out of the driver's seat and looked at Keith in surprise. She asked, Sir, didn't you go

out early? The woman was the Strauss' family's housekeeper.

Her name was Vivian and she looked to be about 35 years old. She'd been with the

Strauss family for years. Because she lived in the old Mr. Strauss' house, she was one of

the few people who knew Keith's identity.

Mr. Park and the others widened their eyes when they heard her call Keith, Sir. They

could tell this woman worked for a prestigious family. But what was her connection to

Keith? Keith smiled and said, I met a friend on my way out and stopped to chat for a

while.

I see. Vivian turned back to the car and said, Miss, Mr. Sandberg is here. Olivia, who'd

been checking her emails in the car, looked up in surprise.

She got out of the car and said, Keith, why are you hanging around here when you

should be at work? Do you know how many people have their eye on the position as vice

CEO? Keith touched his nose and looked at Ari. I just bumped into a friend. Friend? Olivia

looked at Ari with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

She said, your friend is very beautiful. Don't tell me you were on a date. Keith shook his

head and smiled.

I'm gonna buy groceries and then go home to tutor my sister. Buy groceries? Tutor his

sister? This was the reason he wasn't going to work? Was he a housewife? Olivia rolled

her eyes at him, but on the inside, she secretly heaved a sigh of relief. You've shattered

Olivia's wish for you to go to work today.

Attribute point plus one. You fulfilled Olivia's wish of not dating other women. Wish value

plus one.

Current progress two of ten. While the two of them had been chatting, Mr. Park and

Benny's eyes had almost popped out. Who in Somerville didn't know who Olivia Strauss

was? And that meant the vice CEO she had mentioned must be the vice CEO of Olive

Industries.

Oh my god, this had to be one huge joke. This raggedy kid was the vice CEO of Olive

Industries? No way. Never mind the vice CEO position.

Why would the Strauss family's staff call him sir? Why was Olivia so close to him? Why

was she still chatting with him? Could this kid be related to the Strauss family? Mr. Park's face was full of shock, but it soon was full of regret. He looked at Keith with a slightly

frightened expression. Benny seemed to have shrunk four inches.
