Chapter 86: Repeating the Same Tactics

"Stop it, you should understand that if we continue to fight, we will only perish together."

In the end, Odin finally admitted defeat. His voice, carrying divine power, spread through the vacuum of space.

"So, that's it?" Peter asked.

"That's it. You've had enough fun, haven't you?"

Odin's tone was filled with exhaustion. He needed to return to Asgard immediately for another Odin's Sleep, which this time might last for a very long time. It was the first time Odin had been beaten so severely that he had to go back to sleep immediately after waking up.

Peter, satisfied with the intense battle, knew he didn't want to push Odin to death. He paused and said, "This is not enough."

Odin frowned, "What do you want?"

Peter chuckled, "Just like a defeated country, the winner always has to pay something. War reparations, isn't it?"

"You did not defeat me, child!"

"But time is on my side, Odin."

"..."

Odin fell silent. Peter was right. Unless Odin made a decisive move now and died with Peter, his advantage would only diminish. As a five-thousand-year-old man, time was not on his side compared to a new god like Peter.

From this point of view, Odin had lost.

In the end, Odin sighed, "Tell me your name, child."

"Black Superman, from Earth."

"Tell me your terms, Black Superman."

If Odin wasn't angry about today's events, it would be a lie. But as a king, he knew how to weigh the pros and cons and make rational decisions. He even prepared for a significant loss, wondering if Black Superman had been eyeing a certain treasure in his vault from the beginning.

But unexpectedly, Peter simply opened his hands, showing his mostly damaged vibranium suit, and said, "Look, you damaged all my clothes. Don't you think you should compensate me for that?"

Odin's expression was priceless. Even after living for nearly 5,000 years, he had never encountered such a shameless person. He swore that if Peter had asked for treasures, he wouldn't be this speechless. But asking for compensation for his clothes?

Odin was well-versed in the art of compromise. This was better than a worse outcome. He just said, "Come with me."

He summoned the Rainbow Bridge and took Peter back to Asgard. Neither party was foolish enough to act aggressively now, especially Odin, who understood the potential damage Peter could inflict.

"We have the best dwarf craftsmen in the nine realms. They will meet all your requirements. I will ask Thor to take you there," Odin said concisely as they arrived at his temple. "Now, we should talk about your supernatural power."

"Oh?" Peter raised his eyebrows.

Odin took a deep breath. "We Asgardians, and all the gods in the Midgard come from an ancient god, Gaia, the mother of Earth. She created us. Humans in the Midgard regard us as gods, but she is far more powerful than us, the true god. My family, as the royal family of the Aesir, inherited most of the divine power given by Gaia."

Odin looked at Peter. "As for the power of our bloodline, it may be more appropriately called the power of the elder gods."

His meaning was clear. He believed Peter might be a descendant of a direct god created by Gaia and had inherited a significant amount of divine power.

Peter refused without hesitation, "If I said that she and I have nothing to do with each other, would you believe it?"

Odin was surprised but after a moment said, "Does it matter?"

...

Odin fell into a deep sleep again. Loki was imprisoned in Asgard's prison for his actions. When Thor returned, he not only awakened his divine power but also regained Mjolnir's approval and was appointed regent during Odin's slumber.

Thor had reached the peak of his life but was not in a good mood. Odin gave him the task of taking Black Superman to the star ring where the dwarves lived to build a new suit. Odin even told Thor to learn from Black Superman, using the tone reserved for someone else's child. This was a first for Thor in his fifteen hundred years of life.

Thor didn't object to the task, and he had no ill feelings towards Black Superman. But thinking of Mjolnir being "borrowed" by Superman made Thor uncomfortable.

Besides this, Thor was troubled by his brother Loki.

At this moment, he heard Black Superman say, "You seem troubled?"

Thor, stunned, replied, "Yes."

He couldn't mention Mjolnir, so he said, "It's my brother, Loki."

Peter glanced at Thor and said, "If you feel embarrassed, I can teach you some methods."

"What?" Thor asked curiously, valuing Peter's advice due to Odin's explanation.

Peter continued, "Are you worried about how to avoid future troubles? If I remember correctly, your brother once wanted to kill you. He's imprisoned, Odin is sleeping, and during this period, you have ten thousand ways to deal with him without shedding blood..."
