Chapter 8 : Encountering Players

Back in the village, I had just had a few words with some NPC friends when a vendor came over. He told me he was leaving the village to stock up and asked if there was anything I needed to order. I immediately ordered a batch of magic potions, but I was disappointed that he couldn't do anything about the skill books and equipment I really wanted. Why can he bring Po a weapon, but he can't help me? I guess it's just because I don't like you enough.

In order to expedite the hawker's return journey as much as possible, I decided to give him a horse, but he told me that he did not know how to ride or manage horses. And so, again, my plans fell through.

The day after the hawker left, I had consumed most of my blood medicine, but had also succeeded in clearing most of the wild animals from the road leading to the creek ditch. Although Alan could not ride, I gave him a gentle horse so that he could walk on it and be in the ditch fishing in an hour.

In my experience, after clearing an area of monsters, it usually takes two days to refresh the dense monsters again. Alan's fishing safety was assured, so I decided to take advantage of the gap and head to Blue Jade Mountain in search of the magic stone to restore the teleportation array in the village.

On the way to Blue Jade Mountain, I did encounter a lot of high-level monsters. Just walked halfway, encountered monsters are already monster level. And to the foot of the mountain, it is encountered 29 level monster. Fortunately, I had Albert, whose extraordinary agility and sheer speed allowed me to safely reach the Blue Jade Mountain four hours later.

After calling Albert back to the pet space, I began to carefully search the mountain for the magic stone. However, the mountain has few special plants and minerals, and I have no idea where the magic stone might be hidden. Just as I was feeling a little disappointed, I suddenly saw several people walking not far away.

I was so excited to see these people, because they weren't just NPCS, they were real players! After twenty years of not interacting with other players, I simply didn't know how to relate to them. This excitement was unimaginable in the past, when I had few friends, either in real life or in the game. But this time, feeling lonely for a long time made me decide to change the situation, hoping to make more friends in the game.

There are five players in this team, including two warriors, a priest, a mage and an archer, which is a perfect combination. They were also very surprised to see me, as it was a long way from the surrounding villages (our lost village was not visible on the teleport map).

The mage gave a quick wink to his teammates behind him, and the tall warrior in the lead walked over and smiled, "Brother, are you here to kill the blue demon, too?" I shook my head. "No, we don't have a teleport in our village. I'm looking for the magic Stone."

The soldier said, "The original transfer array is made of magic stone, magic stone this kind of spiritual things, should be guarded by advanced monsters, may be in the blue demon there." But there is no need for you to come to this dangerous place. Magic stones are sold in the magic shops in the city. They are not too expensive for 100 silver pieces."

Not too expensive? It's a rich man's world. At this time, the thin face of the mage walked forward and said: "Friend, your strength can not kill the blue demon, or to save your life, wait for you to come again at the 30 level." Apparently, this mage uses skills like sleuthing, and it was obvious at a glance that I was only level 23 and not very well equipped.

The tall soldier frowned, "Bruce, let's take him with us, more than one man, more than one strength, anyway, this brother just needs the magic stone, will not share our things."

Master Bruce's face slightly changed, "Leon, our monster level BOSS is very dangerous, when he may bring us down!" Leon smiled, "It's okay, he can help us lead the little monster when the time comes." By the way, brother, what do you do?"

Naturally, I couldn't say I was the only full-time "apprentice" in the game, so I had to lie, "I'm a 23-level master." Before the official transfer at level 30, the characters did not have professional badges on them, and although I did not have a mage's special equipment on me, they did not suspect. Next, Leon introduces me to the rest of his team.

Leon is a level 30 fighter, Bruce the Mage is also level 30, another fighter Randy is level 28, Glenn the archer is level 28, and Jimmy the Priest is level 26.

Leon is from the Village of Sunset, and because of his high charm, he receives information from an NPC in a neighboring village that there is a demon "Blue Demon" in the Blue Jade Mountain, guarding a treasure he badly needs. In order to defeat the powerful monster BOSS, he, Randy and three other friends form a team of five.

I think now ranked first "demon King" should have more than 45 level, and these players can only count as novices, although their birthplace is better than me, the equipment is obviously more advanced. In fact, with the exception of the "Demon King" and the intelligent characters simulated by various game companies, real human players are currently only at level 35, and most players are between level 20 and 25. Anyone above level 25 is a professional gamer who spends 15 hours or more per day online.)

Based on Leon's Intel, we found the hidden cave and lit a fire to get in. The monster in the cave is a level 28 vampire bat, and even though this team is good, it is still very difficult to deal with large numbers of bats. And I slashed with my sword after a few fireballs, which made Bruce yell, "What are you doing, aren't you a mage?" Your physical attacks are useless, just enough to break through, you idiot!"

I grits my teeth, I would never team up with them again, but thinking that this is the first time in Infinite World, I hope to become friends with them, so I swallow my breath to explain that there are no magic potions for sale in our village, and then offer to buy some from them.

A wizard without a magic potion? As expected, I was scolded again. Only Leon came to my rescue, convinced Bruce to sell me pills. Bruce said coldly, "My potions are all plus 100 MP, can he use them?" After I stayed, my MP is now only 80, which is a bit of a waste. Leon frowned and said to the priest, "Do you have a smaller blue medicine?" Finally, "Jimmy" sold me 20 blue pills plus 50 MP for 30 coppers each. When I heard that I only had a few blood drugs, they were speechless, and sold 10 red drugs to me, I was humiliated.

In order to save the blue medicine, along the way to the warriors and archers mainly attack, the priest "Jimmy" cast healing, turned out to be a medium healing, adding 60 HP at a time. I was embarrassed to be conspicuous with my primary secondary healing skills, after all, it was too surprising for them to see a mage who could cast healing skills.

Finally entered the second floor of the underground, we met the BOSS blue demon. It was lying asleep in a stone nest, three or four meters long, with blue skin, and the most striking feature of its tall hands, each finger about a meter long, sharp nails, which were its main weapon.

After a brief discussion of tactics, the soldiers began to inch closer. When the blue demon senses them, immediately launch the "charge" skill, while rushing up to block the blue demon in the nest. Although the Blue demon's nest is large, it is surrounded by deep trenches with only one exit, making it impossible for the Blue Demon to bypass the warriors and attack the mages and archers behind them. It seems that these people are experienced and have developed the most advantageous tactics in the shortest time.

At the beginning of the battle, the priest's "inspiring skill" enhanced everyone's attack power. Leon deals 70 damage to the Blue Demon, and with various abilities, deals between 100 and 150 damage at a time. Randy deals 50 damage, 60 to 80 after using skills (the difference between level 28 and level 30 is obvious, with many important skills and equipment at level 30).

Bruce's Medium Level 3 Fireball and Medium Level 2 Lightning deal 120 and 100 damage, respectively, and the lightning also stops the Blue Demon's movements for a few tenths of a second. Glenn's bow deals 40 damage, the "Triple Shot" ability deals 120 damage, and the "Ice Arrow", which comes with an ice spell attack that damages 60 HP and gives you the chance to freeze your opponent, is effective. I, on the other hand, can only fire my own first class fireball, dealing 20 damage to the Blue Demon each time (spell level difference and lack of equipment are the main reasons).

The blue demon is afraid, but still powerful. Each attack hit two fighters at once. Despite the protection of the priests, Leon still loses 200 blood at a time and Randy loses 270. So Randy cuts his sword and then steps back to replenish his blood. Leon, on the other hand, has 400+ HP, and with the priest adding blood and himself using Red Medicine, he rarely needs to fall back as long as the wizards and archers occasionally succeed with their lightning and freeze skills.

The battle has become a protracted war, no one knows the specific health of the blue demon. The two warriors are equipped with 200 extra blood, their package can hold 300 items, minus the necessary blue medicine, they should also carry 200 blood medicine. According to the current playing method, when 40,000 blood is used up, the blue demon will drop 80,000 blood. In my experience, games don't make level 32 bosses that twisted.

Still, the blue demon is stronger than I thought. When we lost 30,000 of its blood, the blue demon began to panic. In my gut, it's probably low on blood. At this time, I found that Bruce's eyes flashed with a gleam of light, and the corners of his mouth showed a dark smile...
