Let Me Help You Achieve it (Part 1)

Why is this happening to me?

Why do they treat me like this?

What have I done wrong?

I just wanted to become a star card maker. I've worked so hard just to become a star card maker!

I don't want to die yet. I want to live. There's so much I still need to do. I don't want it to end like this. I want to continue making cards, to return to the stage where the star card makers belong to...

One unwilling scream after another, wave after wave of struggling emotions in despair, as if in that instant, they merged together with the current soul.

This reminded Chun Ho-Jin of his desperation and unwillingness when he faced an unstoppable zombie horde, and attempted every possible way to grasp onto a glimmer of hope.

In a certain sense, they were so similar.

They both just tried to live in their 'own way,' but the reality was ruthlessly stripping away even that tiny glimmer of hope.

Maybe it was a moment of resonance between the souls of two different worlds, or perhaps Chun Ho-Jin's mental domain couldn't bear the intense stimulation of pain, but in that instant, a thought surged into Chun Ho-Jin's mind and was confirmed the next moment.

At that moment, Chun Ho-Jin, enduring excruciating pain yet weakly but resolutely, spoke, "Let me help you achieve it. Let me be the one to help you fulfill your regrets since your body is now mine. I am you, so let me realize your unfulfilled wishes and lead you back to the stage of star card making!"

With the final, incredibly firm promise, the clamor in his mind seemed to hit a pause button abruptly.

The room fell suddenly silent, only the sound of Chun Ho-Jin panting heavily could be heard, he was drenched in sweat.

Time passed, and Chun Ho-Jin thought he heard a faint "thank you," but when he tried to carefully listen to it, there was nothing.

He just heard the fading echo of the 'buzz' in his head, as if it were a mere illusion.

Regardless of whether it was an illusion or not, the words that he had spoken were not false.

Chun Ho-Jin genuinely wanted to replace the original owner's dream and reclaim his identity as a star card maker.

There were two reasons for this.

Firstly, since he had taken over the original owner's body and survived by granting him a chance to be reborn in his body, he naturally felt responsible for fulfilling the original owner's wishes.

Secondly, because... up to this point, Chun Ho-Jin, who hadn't fully familiarized himself with the rules of this world, hadn't conceived of any other better means of livelihood.

Becoming a star card maker might just be the only means of survival for him at the moment.
