Sentinel Healing Center (Part 1)

Chun Ho-Jin watched as Lee Anna skillfully manipulated these small and agile birds.

It then gently and carefully flew around the injured patients, seemingly guiding and comforting them.

After a while, a painful groan was heard from one of the patients, and a large tiger with charred fur and patches of rotten flesh falling off came out from the patient's body.

Of course, this tiger was not real; it had no physical form and could not be touched.

It was the patient's mental power manifestation, or, using the terminology of this world, their mental power body.

The chunks of flesh that were falling off the tiger represented the continuous loss of mental power and energy from the patient.

However, Lee Anna did not allow this dire situation to persist for long.

In the next moment, under the soothing and healing of several birds, the burnt tiger's flesh gradually ceased rotting and began to slowly heal.

Eventually, it turned into unsightly scars, and the tiger who was feeling less pain, quieted down once again.

Although the condition of the large tiger didn't appear particularly good, with its fur still charred, it did feel considerably better than it did at the outset.

In order to fully recover, it would likely require multiple sessions of comforting treatment.

However, throughout this entire process, the pressure on the Guide side was not insignificant.

As time passed, Lee Anna's complexion grew increasingly pale, especially when the treatment ended and she attempted to stand up.

She nearly lost her balance and almost fainted.

It was only with the quick reaction of her colleague beside her, noticing her deteriorating condition, that she was supported and swiftly escorted to the rest area.

Lee Anna's vacant spot was quickly filled by other staff members.

This was the role of a Guide and a Sentinel, this was the job of a "Healer" in the Sentinel Healing Center.

It could be said that at this moment, Chun Ho-Jin had a deeper understanding of the terms "Sentinel" and "Guide".

However, the current issue was not here.

The problem was that he seemed to have arrived at the wrong time, as the Guides of the Sentinel Healing Center clearly had no spare time to pay attention to anything else while dealing with the dozen or so injured people in front of them.

Lee Anna, who had just come over, was also sent out back to rest due to excessive consumption of mental power energy.

She hadn't even seen Chun Ho-Jin who was standing by the door, let alone introduced him to the work.

Perhaps... he should come back tomorrow when the Sentinel Healing Center isn't so busy...?

With these thoughts in mind, Chun Ho-Jin intended to go back, but...

As he was about to do so, before Chun Ho-Jin could leave the Sentinel Healing Center, he was suddenly grabbed by the head of the Healing Center, who anxiously grasped Chun Ho-Jin's hand and spoke hastily to him.

"It's you, right? You're the 'Healer' who came for an interview today, aren't you? I've been waiting for you for a long time. Now our Sentinel Healing Center suddenly has too many injured people to handle, and the situation is urgent. Can you come and help us first? Just consider it part of the 'trial work content'!"
