Give Me A Child

Maria opened the drawer at the bottom of his desk and picked up the carefully stored red invitation. This is an invitation letter for Maria to attend the 90th birthday of Robert's grandmother, which she received as Robert's girlfriend a month ago.

Although Robert is an illegitimate child, his father is a world-renowned entrepreneur, and the Frederick family behind him is also a century-old family with billions of assets. Now that Maria has lost Robert, this is a very good opportunity for her to meet other entrepreneurs.

Maria, dressed in a proper and beautiful dress, with a romantic big wave on her head, got into the car and went to Castle where Robert's Grandma was celebrating her birthday.

The mansion is located in Hollyrose Castle in the center of City. Maria

was stunned when she walked in.

In the thousands of acres of the Castle, there are private art galleries, sculpture gardens, a golf course, and a large artificial swan lake.

Maria lightly lifted her skirt and entered the banquet hall under the guidance of the waiter. In the huge banquet hall, hundreds of well-known artists and entrepreneurs gathered here, and the center was the grandma of Robert who was congratulated by everyone.

Maria knew that at this time, she did not have the status to enter the crowd and congratulate Robert grandmother like others, so Maria could only wait for the crowd to disperse before finding opportunities to meet celebrities and entrepreneurs.

Maria silently left the crowd and began to visit the grand castle. The castle was so large that Maria inadvertently lost her way and walked into a wide corridor covered with red velvet carpets.

Portraits are hung on the walls of the corridor. Some of them are artworks that the Frederick family has spent a lot of money to auction, and some are portraits of generations of the Frederick family.

Maria is curious to appreciate them, but she hears a familiar voice behind her.

"Why are you here?"

Maria turned her head and saw Robert standing not far away in a suit.

Maria stood with one hand on her hip and said in a speechless tone, "Of course, it's because I also received an invitation letter."

Robert sneered, "You are so proud of getting an invitation letter as my girlfriend before."

Maria rolled her eyes at him and said, "Do you have any right to ask how I got the invitation?"

Robert was very angry when he saw Maria's contemptuous look: "This is Frederick's family's territory, and I am the master here. I want the servants to kick you out."

Seeing Robert's agitated expression, Maria burst out laughing and said, "Master? How can you, a bastard who isn't even eligible to be painted in the family portrait, call yourself master?"

Robert was poked by Maria, and his face turned red with anger. He reached out to hit her.Maria quickly dodged back, but Robert's slap did not fall.

Robert's arm, which was about to fall, was violently clamped in midair as he held it high. Maria looked up and saw a tall and handsome man.

"Brother, why are you here?" Robert's voice trembled, obviously he was afraid of the man in front of him.

"Who gave you the audacity to hit my woman?" Charles Frederick said coldly in his deep voice.

Robert opened his eyes bigger and yelled at Maria, "You've hooked up with my brother again!"

Maria didn't know why Charles Frederick said he was her man, but she was happy to see Robert's angry expression.

Maria took Charles Frederick's arm and smiled, saying, "We've already broken up, so who I'm in love with is none of your business."

Robert was trembling with anger, but he dared not show his anger because Charles Frederick was present. He could only hold back his anger and turn away.

When Maria saw Robert walking away, she quickly released her arm that was holding Charles Frederick and thanked him, saying, "Thank you, sir, for helping me."

Frederick looked at Maria coldly, as if she didn't recognize him, and forcefully clamped down on her chin, forcing her to look directly at him. "Woman, how dare you pretend not to know me?"

Maria was scared of the fierce man in front of her and said, "Sir, please let me go."

Frederick sneers and leans down to press Maria against the wall, forcefully kissing her.

Frederick's tongue pushed Maria's closed teeth open and tangled with Maria's tongue.

Maria tried to push Frederick away, but he held her even tighter. Maria could only bear the long kiss. until she was out of breath, Frederick released her.

Maria was panting and clutching the wall in a panic. Maria was a smart lady, so she could naturally guess that the tall and handsome man in front of her was the one she had had a one-night stand with before.

Maria lifted her head, finally making eye contact with Frederick for the first time.

Frederick stood tall, his elongated figure clad in a black suit exuding an intangible aura of authority. His angular, exquisite face boasted an aquiline nose that seemed carved like an artwork and sensuous thin lips, while his fierce hawk-like eyes locked onto her like a predator eyeing its prey.

Maria recalled Robert's earlier introduction of the man before her as his brother. She shivered, realizing that Robert had only one brother - Charles Frederick, the president of SwiftWings, the country's foremost technology company.

Maria felt a headache coming on, knowing full well that Frederick was not a man to trifle with.

Nervously clutching the hem of her dress, Maria apologized sincerely, "I understand you might not believe me, but that night was an accident. I meant no disrespect. If you seek compensation, I'll do my best to fulfill your demands."

Frederick's lips curved into a faint smirk, a hint of amusement playing on his face. "Compensation? I think I'd like you to give me a little Frederick of my own, how about that?"

Maria widened her eyes in shock, "I'm serious, please don't joke like this."

Frederick suddenly pulled Maria into his embrace, his fingers gently caressing her silky smooth shoulders. "Listen, I never joke."

Maria's face flushed crimson as she tried to push Frederick away.

Seeing Maria's resistance, Frederick released her, slipping a business card into her hand. His sharp hawk eyes stared coldly at her. "Come to me when you've had a change of heart. Remember, I'm not a patient man."

With that, Frederick turned and left, leaving Maria standing stunned in the chilly corridor.

Maria now knew the identity of the man from her one-night stand that had been causing her so much anxiety - he was Charles Frederick, the president of SwiftWings, a man who commanded billions in wealth and power, the heart of the Frederick family.

Yet, Maria remained deeply concerned. Frederick was not someone she could aspire to cling onto; he could both help and easily destroy her.
