Unexpected Pregnancy

In the days that followed, the shooting went on in an orderly manner. Maria slowly adapted to the fast-paced shooting life, and she liked to see her own progress.

In addition, Maria had to compensate for Fredrick's absence during the day by being more active at night, which often made Maria feel tired.

During non-shooting hours, Maria always secretly looks at the dazzling Austin. Austin often receives praise from the director, and he himself gently guides every actor who seeks his help.

Maria felt like a dark mouse, secretly peering at the distant sunshine. But what could she do? She was already Fredrick's wife, and she had to fulfill her duties as a wife. She was not qualified to pursue Austin in the sunshine.

Maria could only hide her thoughts and not do anything out of line.

The shooting ended three months later. Everyone was happy for the smooth completion of the shooting.

Maria stood outside the happy crowd, she liked shooting life, which made her feel like she was living for herself again.

Rosalind came and waved her hand in front of Maria's eyes and said, "Maria, why are you in a daze?"

Maria regained her senses and looked at Rosalind in front of her. Rosalind often came to chat with her during breaks in filming, and she was a very passionate and experienced woman. Maria was happy to become her friend.

Maria shook her head and said, "I'm fine."

Rosalind said, "The director is inviting everyone to have dinner together tonight. Are you going?"

Maria asked, "Are all the others going?"

Rosalind replied, "Apart from Mavis and Austin, they seem to have other work to do and can't stay here."

Maria was disappointed to hear that Austin would not go, but she still nodded and agreed to go with Rosalind because she seemed to have no good reason to refuse.

Rosalind saw that Maria had agreed and turned to find someone else.

Maria picked up her phone and sent a message to Fredrick: I want to have dinner with the filming team tonight. Is that okay?

On the other side, Fredrick, who was working in the office, saw the message from Maria and was a little unhappy, which meant that his time with Maria would l be reduced again.

However, he did not have the idea of limiting Maria's basic social interaction, so he still allowed it.

Seeing that Fredrick agreed, Maria felt relieved and went to the restaurant with the decoration team. The group chatted enthusiastically, but Maria couldn't join in.

Maria sat silently watching Rosalind. Maira was about to ask Rosalind what her plans were for the rest of the day, but she saw that Rosalind's face was already flushed and she was still drinking.

Maria quickly grabbed her arm and said, "You're already drunk, don't drink anymore."

Rosalind was obviously very excited and raised her goblet to Maria, "Maria, cheers!"

Maria didn't want to be a party pooper, so she symbolically finished the wine in her glass as well.

After a while, Maria felt a distinct discomfort in her lower abdomen.

Maria felt at a loss, and after saying goodbye to Rosalind briefly, she hurried out and called Ella: "Ella, I'm not feeling well. Please come and take me home."

When Ella arrived, Maria was already sitting on the ground, unable to bear the intense pain.

Ella hurriedly sent Maria to the hospital.

Maria was lying weakly on the hospital bed, temporarily taking some painkillers and enduring the pain under Ella's care.

When Fredrick arrived, he saw Maria lying on the hospital bed, both angry and distressed.

Fredrick walked over to the bed and gently touched Maria's pale face.

Maria struggles to open her eyes and looks at Fredrick in front of her. Although she is somewhat afraid of him, Fredrick makes her feel extremely comfortable at this moment.

Maria whispered, "Fredrick, I'm sorry."

Fredrick realized that this was not the time to blame Maria, so he comforted her, saying, "Baby, lie down quietly and don't talk anymore."

Seeing that Fredrick didn't blame her, Maria closed her eyes with relief.

Soon after, the doctor came into the room and handed Fredrick the examination report. He told Fredrick that Maria was pregnant.

Fredrick frowned. He should have been happy to see Maria pregnant with his child, but now looking at Maria lying in pain on the hospital bed, Fredrick was not satisfied. He felt very distressed for Maria on the hospital bed.

Maria, who was half-asleep, heard the doctor's words and said in surprise, "I'm pregnant?"

Maria gently stroked her belly with her hand. This child came too suddenly. Although she knew that she would eventually give birth to a child for Fredrick, she was not ready to welcome a new life. However, as long as she gave birth to him, she could regain her freedom again, it doesn't seem like a bad thing.

However, perhaps due to Maria's recent exhaustion and the cold wine she had consumed, Maria still felt a pain in her lower abdomen.

Maria didn't have the strength to think much, and she gradually fell asleep under Fredrick's protection and pain.

Whether it was because of the frail Maria or the still-embryonic child in her belly, Fredrick did not leave. He patiently stayed by Maria's bedside, wiping the cold sweat from her cheeks.

Fredrick looked at Maira, who was sleeping soundly. He had clearly tied her to him just so she could give him a child, but now that he had achieved his goal of having a child, he didn't want to let Maria go.

Maria was the most special woman he has ever met, whether it's her beauty, her playfulness, or her innocence,Maria's every move affected his heartstrings. When did it start that he was no longer satisfied with just having her give birth to a child for him?

Fredrick stroked Maria's beautiful face, his eyes tinged with a hint of ferocity. No matter what, Maria would never leave his side. She would always be his Fredrick's wife, and she would receive endless wealth and his love.

The next morning, Maria opened her eyes and saw Fredrick sitting beside her bed. Fredrick seemed tired and had some bruises under his eyes.

Fredrick saw Maria wake up and helped her to stand up. "Maria, are you feeling better?"

Maria leaned on Fredrick's shoulder and said obediently, "It doesn't hurt anymore. Sorry to have worried you."

Fredrick fondly rubbed Maria's messy hair and said, "It's okay, as long as you're fine."

Fredrick sent his assistant to bring a light breakfast, but Maria didn't have much appetite. However, due to Fredrick's gaze, Maria had to eat it slowly before returning home with Fredrick.

After returning to Fredrick's villa, Maria was asked by Fredrick to rest in bed.

Fredrick made sure that Maria was not experiencing any other discomfort before he went to the SwiftWings building to handle his affairs.

Maria looked at Fredrick's departing back and felt a little confused. Was it her imagination? Fredrick seemed to be more gentle and considerate.

However, Maria thought about it again. After all, she was now pregnant with Fredrick's only child, so Fredrick hoped that she would give birth to the child well.

However, with so many things happening all at once, Maria felt very tired.

Maria closed her eyes and tried to clear her mind of the countless things piling up.

But soon, Maria heard a crisp ringtone on her phone.
