The Dark Spector returns and an old debt paid

"James. James." A deep voice called to James calling to his mind and out of his dreams.

James started to fall into the same vision he had become so accustomed to. He landed on his feet facing the figure that set in front of lite fireplace. The green flames felt warm to James.

"James Potter you are making waves in this world so soon after graduating from Hogwarts. Your mind is strange suddenly. I've wondered about the reasons for it. You graduated only what a few weeks ago? What happened to you during that time to change you soon? Why did you go River Song? What is so important about her I wonder?" He asked.

James was quiet. He thought nothing beyond the boiling rage in got at the sound of the Spector's voice.

"Your quiet. I can feel your anger. Your rage is silent but I can feel it just below the surface. You are a powerful young wizard. I hope you don't have any plans on getting on my way. Your talents are much better suited in the pursuit of spell engineering and crafting and researching magic." He said.

James lifted up his peacemaker took aimed and fired blasting away the vision of the dark Spector. He could still feel him listening waiting. James stood in the darkness saying nothing not engaging and not interested in thinking about anything. The dark Spector waited a long time before he got tired of listening to nothing and left James mind.

James woke up getting out of his bed. Mara came awake instantly beside him and started to get up. He held up his hand. "You can sleep a bit more. I got to do a bit work on the house." He said.

"What happened?" Mara asked.

"A dark Lord was whispering in my ear hoping to have a conversation with me." James said.

Mara looked at him in alarm. "James. You can't-" She said but paused as he raised a hand for her to wait.

James shook his head. "No. No. I'm not talking or dealing with monsters anymore. He can go his way I'll go mean. The moment he steps on my lane. I'm going use every trick I know to burn his ass to ashes." He said.

Mara stared at him. "You know who he is? The dark lord from another world?" She said.

James stared at her. "I got an idea but I don't know anything for sure Mara and I'm not interested. Cole or my father will deal with him eventually or he'll become the next president of the congress. I don't give a damn either case. I'm going to protect my people and to hell with the world." He said.

"My father is coming to see to you along with Luna. Will they be welcome in." Mara asked gentle.

James smiled. "I'm giving them a pass for today only so they better make good use of it." He said.

Mara stared at him. "James. We can trust our family. They wouldn't-" She said then paused in her speech because James started laughing at her. She picked up a pillow and threw it at him as he hurried out of the room.

James found Angus holding Ava up in a reverse piggyback position staring kissing they paused. Angus had his shirt off. Ava was wearing his shirt and nothing else. They smiled at him. "Good morning!" They said.

"Good morning. I'm making breakfast today. You two can continue what your doing?" James said and headed down stairs.

"Thank you son, we will." Angus said.

James walked down stairs toward around the corner.

A wizard appeared in front of James. He smiled with a wand aimed at James' head. Time seemed to slow down. James dodged the spell lite as green and white energy at the same time he kicked the other man between the legs. The wizard bent forward at the same time James kneed the man in the face. The wizard then fell back hard to the floor bleeding from the nose and mouth.

"DON'T KILL HIM! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" The man roared.

"Shut the hell up old man or I'll fold your ass." James ordered.

The wizard quieted down and started crying as James searched the man's clothes. James held the man down with knee pressed down on his chest. A second later James heard his mother scream.

"JAMES!"

"Stay up stairs for a bit." James said.

"James! What is it?!" Angus called.

"We got company! Get dressed Mother." James said. A second later Mara was beside him with his gun belt and wand.

James pocketed his wand and the assassins as he started sensing the wards go off. The wards chimed off one more intruder. "Dad. I'll be back." He said putting his gun belt on.

"Wait up!" Angus said and quickly raced down stairs with Ava following closely beside him.

Angus looked at the wizard and helped James lift and carry the man to the front door. The door was kicked open. A man in a dark suit stood in front of them. His body was smoking.

"What's up Mr. Dupree? I think it would be a good idea for you to leave today. It's not a good time and you really shouldn't be out in the direct sunlight bro." James said.

"I think differently. Put the man down and come with me? No one fight from either of you. The boy comes with me. Now!" Mr. Dupree said in a hypnotic voice.

Both Angus and James dropped the man. They came up and drawing their peacemakers firing on the vampire and blasting him out of the door way with lightning and fire beams of energy into the sunlight.

The vampire lay baking in the sunlight burning and then quickly catching fire and burning to ashes. James sighed. He looked at the wizard on the floor. "You got into our house pretty easy. A lot of people have tried that. You succeeded. Almost got the jump me. You feel good about yourself don't you?" He said.

The wizard stared at him. James shook his head.

"You took a big risk coming here. My dad is the dragon of the west. I'm his son. Did you really think he wouldn't hunt your ass down and burn your ass to dust if you killed me like you were ordered to do. You were expecting a fast pay day. Old man all you got is trouble for the rest of your days." James said.

The Wizard started to open his mouth Ava kicked him between the legs. He yelled and stared up at her. She pointed her wand at him. "You'll not get a second chance." She said.

James held up his hand. "No. Don't kill him. We have to let him go." He said.

They all looked at him with wide eyes. James nodded his head studying the man.

"We're going to let you go. You probably work for some powerful people and killing you would only be more trouble then I'm interested in. So you can go. One thing." James said he took out the man's wand broke it twice in front of him and dropped the pieces.

The wizard stared at him in silence. James stared at him nodding his head. "That's your reward for coming after me. Every time I see I'll take some else from you. I know who you are and I know how you operate and I've seen your face. Tell your masters to leave me the hell alone or I'll come and bring the smoke to them and rain hell on them until they wished they never thought about me." He said before grabbed him by the back of the neck yanking him to his feet and threw him out outside.

The thief rolled on the ground for second before he disappeared. James sighed took out his peacemaker. He looked around. He grimaced.

"What is it James?" Angus asked.

"I feel somebody is still here. Hold up dad. Get the hell my land!" He said and waited and then he smiled. "Alright You want to dance. Let's dance?" James said before leaping up into Apparition.

James appeared up in the air over the reach staring down at two watchers spying out the ranch on brooms.

James flew over toward them racing the sky but came to a stop when Nick Cole appeared sitting on a broom stick in front of him. They stared at each other as wizards appeared around them on broom sticks around them.

"What the hell are you doing in my land husk?" James demanded.

Nick frowned at him and studied him closely. "Your father called for his associates to come and assist him to protect you and your family. You should go-" He said.

"Guard the skies do not come on to my family land. You are my father's associates not mean." James said and then apparition on the porch of the house.

Angus frowned at him. "I asked Nick and the guys to come." He said.

"I don't want them on ranch land dad. Is it possible for you to keep them in the air?" James asked.

Angus sighed. He looked past him at someone.

"Give me a minute. I won't let them-" Angus said.

"Wells here?" James asked suddenly.

Angus froze. "I don't know. Maybe. Do you know what he looks like?" He said.

"I don't but I know what he sounds like." James said quietly looking around at the owl members. Nick was near the ground still on his broom frowning. "Dad could you talk to Cole and the others while I go lock up your workshop that would be good." He said.

Angus sighed. "Go on. I'll keep them busy and away from the workshop." He said and patted his shoulder.

James quickly walked away giving Nick one side glare before looking away toward the workshop/barn. His hand was still on his peacemaker at his side.

"Where did you learn to fly?" A voice spoke to him.

James looked toward the workshop to see a man with a masked face leaning against the double doors standing in his way. "Please move away from the barn sir and join my father and rest of his associates behind him."

"I asked you a question? I would like an answer." The man said in a voice with more force authority.

James smiled and remembered the man by his voice. "My father taught me to fly as he did many things. Mr. Wells it would better that you stepped away from the barn and walk over to my father and his friends." He said.

Mr. Wells chuckled. "You know of me. I know barely much about you at all. You've recently graduated and-" He said.

"I'm not interested in a conversation Mr. Wells. Get the hell on bro before I fold your old ass over like a lawn chair." He said.

Mr. Wells stared at James and laughed again. "You defeated the thief in the house your pretty strong. Would you be interested in working for-ah!" He paused gasped as appeared in front of him punching him the nose and started choking him. "You sent that piece of shit into my dad's house? No. Lie to me once old man and it's over for you."

Wells eyes were wide with fear as he stared at James. "What are you?"

James went into apparition in front of Angus. He held Wells down on his knees.

Wizards all held their wands at James head. He stared at Angus. "This piece of shit sent the thief into our house. He confessed to me." He said.

Angus nodded. "Speak to Nick first on it. Nick is a bit sensitive about these issues and Wells and Nick are friends. If he gives you the go ahead I'll drop him off in the ocean." He said.

James nodded his head and turned to Nick. The older man was staring at him. "Cole. Your piece of shit owl sent a piece shit assassin into my dad's home. What do you say on it?"

Nick sighed. "Let him go. He is a member of my court we have our ways of handling things. This matter will be handled properly." He said.

James laughed and letting go of Mr. Wells and stepping away from him the others quickly moved their wands away from his head. "Congratulations shit head. Your good buddy is about to let your sorry ass go free and clear." He said.

Mr. Wells snarled. "Your a liar you little shit. I didn't confess anything? I was just asking-" He said.

Nick put a wand to Mr. Wells head. "Be quiet." He commanded.

Everyone went motionless. Nick stared at James. "James. I said this matter would be handled properly. Are you doubting my loyalty to your father?" He asked.

James laughed in his face. A shock silence followed as everyone stared between them. "Save your bullshit for people that believe it. Keep your little owl away from me or I'll burn him the next time comes on my land." He said and walked away.

"James!" Nick called for him.

James kept walking toward the workshop ignoring the other owls that tried to get in his way and shoved them aside.

"James!" Angus said.

James stopped and turned on his heel toward him. He folded his arms across his chest. "What's up Dad?" He said.

Angus sighed nodding his head to Nick. "Hold up a bit for a few minutes. Then you can go to the workshop." He said and he looked at Nick. "Nick speed this bullshit up. James isn't in a mood and neither am I. Either let the bastard go or handle it now because the next time I see him here or near my son I'll burn his ass. Him and anybody that's helping him. That's my take on it. Go on Nick say your peace." He said.

Nick stared at Angus. "Angus! We discussed this earlier. We discussed how we would handle matters between each other as brothers." He said.

"No." Angus said immediately. "He came on my land and my son said he confessed to sending some asshole in my house to kill him. If Wells goes near my son again or I find him here. His ass is burned. Period. Don't talk to me about letting this shit go. Don't talk to me about brotherhood. I let him slide once and now I get embarrassed in front of son. Just make sure he keeps the hell away from my son and off my land. He has a problem with my son. So I have a problem with him breathing. I'll leave him alone as long as he stays the hell away from my son. Oh. Wait a second." He said pointed a finger at all of them. "All of you are not welcome here. This is my son's land to. He's says your not welcome here then you need to get the hell of his land after we done dealing with this piece of shit head." He said.

Nick nodded stiffly. "Mr. Wells did you confess to-" He said.

"-I confessed to nothing. That little shit-" Mr. Wells stopped as Angus slapped him across and then stepped away.

"Save the bullshit. Just answer Nick's questions. So we can get this shit over with. Talk about my son again I'll kick your shit in asshole." Angus said.

"Mr. Wells on your feet." Nick said calmly.

Mr. Wells got to his feet slowly. He stood next to Nick.

"Mr. Wells. Do you confess to making an assassination attempt on Mr. James Potter?" He said.

"No. I confess to no such act." He said.

Nick nodded stiffly. He looked at James. "Did Mr. Wells confess that he planned the assassination attempt?" He said.

James snorted in laughter shaking his head. "This shit show is wild bro. You know what. No. He didn't confess directly. I was just in my feeling about something he said that made me think he had a plan in it and I can't remember what he said. You can let you good buddy bro." He said laughed.

"Holy shit!" One man said.

"This shit is embarrassing!" Another man said.

Nick nodded his head stiffly. "Okay. Sense that is the case Mr. Wells you are free to go. Oh. I remember telling you not go near James. You disobeyed my orders you are removed from my court all business and alliances between us are resolve you may leave immediately. Whatever happens to you is of no concern to the Court of Owls." He said.

Mr.. Wells moved drawing his wand took aim at James. James blinked and Wells was gone. He shrugged. "Well that pretty much ends things doesn't it." James said and turned to go.

"I want to have a meeting with you and your father about some issues, tomorrow. I would hope and expect to see there." Nick said.

"James we have to go! To keep the peace." Angus said.

James smiled. "Sure. Dad When the King of magi calls we must accept it. Oh your majesty please remove yourself and your royal court from my land. Unless my father calls you don't set foot on my land again." He said.

"Nick. Please remove yourself and the court from my land. Thank you for showing up when I called. We will be on time for the meeting early in the morning." Angus said quietly.
