I pushed myself up, shaking from the effort. "You expect us to believe he wanted to be a monster?"
The man's smirk deepened "Oh Hailey. You still don't get it...do you?"
He gestured toward Vickson. Vickson stood still but his presence exuded something dark and something wrong.
"He was always meant for this"
Ethan snarled. "Bullshit."
The silver-eyed man only sighed, as if disappointed. "Think what you will. But he was past saving now."
No, no. I refused to accept that.
Vickson was still in there. He had to be.
Ava looked at me, desperate. "What do we do?"
